Complaint:  Just threw my back out again!  (* owie*) crying  I was getting better after going through three days of hell a week ago.  Then tonight I opened the refrigerator door in just the wrong way.no  I think I scared the dog in the next apartment. surprise

Also complaint:  Four inches of snow last night.  Two inches of icy slick stuff and then two more of fluffy, but it's still coming down.  Sweeping off my porch was hard because there's like a thin coat of granular ice under the snow that has glued itself to the paint.   I didn't try to go anywhere in the car (or on foot) today.  Driveway is mega slippery.  In fact the neighbor in the other apartment couldn't get all the way up the driveway and left his car parked in the driveway blocking all passage from the parking lot in back, counting on the fact that I probably won't be needing to get out, since my car is again buried under billows of snow. frown

I am eating my dinner over listening to gossip with a side of gossip.

Snow was pretty much gone this morning! surprise  It was beautiful this morning, temperatures in the 50s, cloudy but no rain.  I even broke habit and took the car out for the 2nd day in a row to go do laundry (finally) and use up a coupon at the drugstore.  Then I had a bigger than usual mini-adventure by having lunch at Ruby Tuesday (ooh, spiffy!).  I'd left home without a jacket, but by time I was having lunch the weather took a nosedive and it got cold and miserably rainy again.  I was going to do more things uptown but without a jacket or hat I didn't want to get too wet or cold so I headed back before the wetness froze into icy-ness.  I did go to the grocery store though and picked up a few things I'd left off my list.  But now (9:30 PM), as I look out at my porch, there is again 1 inch of that white stuff piled on it and it's still coming down.   But I have plenty of food and snacks and even a small bottle of brandy to help fend off cabin fever this time.

Yeaj, at least you're prepared for FROZEN WATER FROM THE SKY.  That stuff is nasty!

    Stay warm and dry...

I'm so glad I invested $250 in this reclining computer chair!! Just roll back, pull out the leg rest, recline and nap.  Gonna go out in style! Snzzzzzz..

Public Safety Tip: Cholulu hot green chili sauce is green and HAWT!  You have been warned!

Grocery delivery done.  Trash out.  Recyclables out.  Those were today's goals.  Time to relax!

...definitely need a "command chair" but unable to afford the prices I've been seeing for new ones.  Really need someone with a vechicle to drive me around to the second hand and liqudation stores to shop for one more in my budget.

The Salsa Verde at the burrito cart I used to go to was pretty nuclear as well (they made their own).

In other "news" we had the yearly fire alarm tests today (as if they haven't been tested pretty well over the last couple months with the way they've gone off so frequently, usually in the middle of the night).  The old broken headphones actually came in handy as they dampened the worst, most painful frequencies.

Speaking of gorceries, need to head off to get a few things for the weekend.

    Stay safe and don't fall!!!!!

...thank you and did make it home safe.

Good.  Once you pass my age falling is a serious business.  When I was young I never understood why it was such a big deal, but oh boy I sure do now!

Wow, was up to watch the dawn this morning after catnapping all day. Crawled into bed and am just now waking up at 7:54pm! Yikes! Miso soup sipping is ongoing, and a nice salami sandwich next, followed by chicken thighs roasted with olive oil and likely Alfredo sauce or on a saandwich with balsamic vinegarette or salsa.

Feeling far better today, still weak but my legs are working and walking isn't dangerous any more.  Still tire easily, but Time and rest will fix that.Mmmmm, seaweed and miso...

...that happens to me at times as well, pinched nerve which If I move just the wrong way, sends sharp pains though my lower back and legs and lasts for days.  The last "bout' I had peristed for a couple weeks.

Fortunately no snow and ice here (fingers crossed).  Today is the one year anniversary of the Great Snowpocalypse of 2017 we had when Portland was paralysed for a week by 14" of snow that turned to 4"- 6" of hard pack ice on the streets and sidewalks. I remember having to get to one of my SS disability medical evaluations in it.  Took over two hours to for what normally would have been a 20 min trip.  If I cancelled, it would have meant waiting months for another appointment.  Was worth it though as it was the one that finally clinched my eligibility.

There's no way I could eat cakes for a month, unless they were Thai fisk cakes!

Now eating boneless skinless chicken thighs in basalmic vinegarette.   Soooooooo tasty and healthy!

Unfortunately, up next: Tostino's combo pizza rolls. :-|

It's not just my 58 years, it's road miles.  Only in 2017 did my life slow down any, which is probably a really bad sign.  I'm like a For Shelby Cobra with 200,000 miles on the odometer!
