Thank you! I'm like herpes, I'm really hard to get rid of. :-P
It's perfect right now. I can only stay awake a short while, so I jave odd hours while I recover. Since I can order 24/7 it's not the isue it could be. :-)
The main one doing it is the person in charge of the house. She is accusing me of lying about something. I am trying to report what I understand. I wish it was a misunderstanding.
I am telling the ones who I need to tell but I am not sure if they are listening either.
...I would not suggest Gatorade as it is loaded with glucose-fructose corn syrup (which is little more than a lowered ratio of HFCS) which is still not that good for diabetics. There are also electrolyte infused waters available but you need to be careful as not all, like Glaceau Smart Water, live up to their claims. GFCS also increases the strains of bad bacteria like c difficile (C-Diff) and chlostridium perfringens, one of the main strains of bacteria responsible for food poisoning so if you have a touchy digestive system, best to avoid.
Because of this and lack of other minerals like calcium and magnesium, Healthbeat rates Gatorade as the #1 worst followed by Powerade.
One of the better brands of pre bottled water is Gerolsteiner Sparkling Mineral Water which is available at Trader Joes, however it does include bicarbonate which may or may not be desireable.
Another good solution is Endure Performance Electrolyte Drops which are added to water (or any other drink). These don't have the carbonate that Gerolsteiner has Generally it takes 1/2 teaspoon for each 32 oz of water so one 4 oz bottle of Endure is enough to infuse a total of 48 quarts.
Neither Gerolsteiner or Endure contain any sweeteners.
Of course check with your doctor first.
...

According to those liars, I am the liar. I push everyone away. I think everyone is picking on me. blah blah blah blah!
My problem is how am I going to ask for my scisors from that lady to use to cut wraping paper for the party tomorrow.
...hmm, slightly older tech (DDR3), duo core, but if all you need it for is getting on the Net while out and about, not bad for the price. Same CPU clock speed as my 12 year old Toshiba.
...is there still low income housing there or has it gone the way of Portland? Could deal with a bit drier climate.
Morning. Big city has cooled off a little and is smelling fresher after a few thunderstorms and a gentle sea breeze :)
Don’t think so although you can composite a couple of shadow, speculates and colour passes together to simulate HDR exposures ;)
I got Powerade Zero. Same as Gatorade, zero sugar.
So your place is a little like the internet then, my work is like that sometimes *hugs*
Better to get the shot than not tho, there were a lot of sick ppl around last winter & I wasn’t one of them :)
Low-income housing here is $300-$500 and there's a long waiting list. You can rent a room for about $500-$600 a month outside downtown. The bus service is good and there's light rail (although limited).
Sounds like a pleasant thing to wake up to. Good morning!
I'm so glad I invested $250 in this reclining computer chair!! Just roll back, pull out the leg rest, recline and nap. Gonna go out in style! Snzzzzzz..
Public Safety Tip: Cholulu hot green chili sauce is green and HAWT! You have been warned!
Grocery delivery done. Trash out. Recyclables out. Those were today's goals. Time to relax!
Yes feeling good today, haven’t thought about work for three weeks ;)
...ahh well, sounds like pretty much like Portland save for the transit system which admittedly is really good again here (they're even looking to introduce all night service on several major routes).
Not into shared living situations any more as I've had my fill of housemate drama for one, maybe two lifetimes, and it seems whenever I needed the to use the dunny, someone would be in there taking a 20 min long shower. Also like having my own kitchen, no clutter of dirty dishes and cookware in the sink and/or on the counters, no worry about my glasses or plates/bowls being broken, or finding my cast iron pans in the dishwasher (a heinous crime) like the one place I lived in. I lost count how many times I ended up heading down to the foodie cart pod a couple blocks away because the kitchen was a disaster area worthy of FEMA and possibly even EPA intervention (they would use the kitchen sink to give the obnoxious "yap monster" it's flea baths in).
Yeah finally cleared a wait list for the place I'm in now. Sadly those lists are not based on income status (like those on a fixed income such as myself getting a higher priroity) but are on a first come basis.
Just thought the climate there would be a bit easier for my achy bones and joints.
KK, you're more aware of this than I. My medic knowledge is somewhat out of date. My only point was that the diabetic spiral induces ketoacidosis, for which "some" glucose is needed. Powerade Zero plus some protein would likely be better. I've not heard of the products you suggested. But, the *.ade-zero's don't usually have the same electrolytes as the full-bore. I used to mix Ringer's Lactate with orange juice as an intermediate treatment (about 1/2 oz in 4oz).
...can you actually buy ringers "off the shelf"?
I doubt it, but I was an army medic... Ringers and D5W were part of my kit
Licorice... after three candies, you'll hang your butt over hell!. Bwahahaha
My job is to keep the troopies fit, healthy, and ready to fight. No one said I had to be nice. Sympathy is found between Shyte and Syphillis in the dictionary.
...definitely need a "command chair" but unable to afford the prices I've been seeing for new ones. Really need someone with a vechicle to drive me around to the second hand and liqudation stores to shop for one more in my budget.
The Salsa Verde at the burrito cart I used to go to was pretty nuclear as well (they made their own).
In other "news" we had the yearly fire alarm tests today (as if they haven't been tested pretty well over the last couple months with the way they've gone off so frequently, usually in the middle of the night). The old broken headphones actually came in handy as they dampened the worst, most painful frequencies.
Speaking of gorceries, need to head off to get a few things for the weekend.
Internet connection is slow again. I was watching a video tutorial about Hexagon 3D when the video became blurry. I think the sever switched the quality from high to low for a few seconds.
I'm happy with what I have. I also have Alacers Emergen-C Immune Support, which among other things has sodium and potassium. I also have potassium-rich potatoes to cook! As much as I look stupid, I've gotten pretty good at taking care of myself ans surviving my mistakes!
That said, right now I'm snacking on a glass of organic hole milk... and pizza rolls. :-|
Somewhere, my doctor is throwing up and crying...
Stay safe and don't fall!!!!!
Snow was pretty much gone this morning!
It was beautiful this morning, temperatures in the 50s, cloudy but no rain. I even broke habit and took the car out for the 2nd day in a row to go do laundry (finally) and use up a coupon at the drugstore. Then I had a bigger than usual mini-adventure by having lunch at Ruby Tuesday (ooh, spiffy!). I'd left home without a jacket, but by time I was having lunch the weather took a nosedive and it got cold and miserably rainy again. I was going to do more things uptown but without a jacket or hat I didn't want to get too wet or cold so I headed back before the wetness froze into icy-ness. I did go to the grocery store though and picked up a few things I'd left off my list. But now (9:30 PM), as I look out at my porch, there is again 1 inch of that white stuff piled on it and it's still coming down. But I have plenty of food and snacks and even a small bottle of brandy to help fend off cabin fever this time.
complainnt - aachier than usual oww
...thank you and did make it home safe.
...sounds like you dodged a bullet though.
