...well bed was delivered today, tomorrow going to move the rest of the stuff I still have at the house (bedding, a small cabinet, two floor lamps, some odds & ends, and the plates/bowls I kept with me).

Going to be so nice not having to deal with stairs anymore.

    It isn't just ice cream.
Armour Vienna sausages used to be tight in the little can. Now they're loose.
Have an old can, 135 grams. New can, 130 gram.
5 grams makes a difference when you sell as many cans as Armour does.

I put stickers on every letter key on my keyboard.  Why?  because I could.  I am a touch typist so I do not need to see the keys.  I just got the stickers yesterday from dollar tree.

Right now I am doing a leave on hair conditioner.  Supposed to keep it in for at least twenty minutes.  I have done about that but leaving it in for about seven more minutes to make sure my hair is nice and soft.

Sun came out in between the clouds.  Now my room feels hot.  I'm waiting for the air conditioner to turn on.

Toilet paper too.  I had some long shelved (couple of years) rolls of Scott 1000 toilet paper that when compared to modern rolls of the same brand, the new rolls are about quarter of an inch less wide.  They wobble in my TP holder instead of being a tight fit.

...congratulations Tjohn on your most rescent trip around our central main sequence stellar primary (with which the moon interposed itself last week).

...well the heat is on again.  91° yesterday, 99° today 102° tomorrow, and 91° on Tuesday.  Also back is the smoke from more wildfires east of the mountains. We have been under "red flag" fire warnings most of the summer as it has been uncharacteristically dry   We haven't experienced a steady prolonged rain for a couple months now.

...packing up the last of the stuff today.  Down to just throwing things in boxes and will worry about it later. Still have two small pieces of furniture to  move and my floor lamps. Going to miss the old 'hood and the people I know here, but then it means having a really nice place in a really great area of the city.  Going to make one more hit to my favourite haunts (all day happy hour, including food) a little later before leaving.

...if stretched out in a straight line you have travelled 37,440,000,000 miles. Well into interstellar space.

    ETA:

Adding in the sun's motion in the galaxy that would be a grand total of 325,608,960,000 miles,  really out there.  I'm just a "tad" bit behind in astronomical terms as my 64th B'day doesn't come up for another four months.

...'plaint: Realky dislike the mobile app. Besides not letting you make paragraph breaks, one wrong tap and you lose everything you entered. Drafts are not even saved. Have to redo what I added to the above post when I get home to a real computer.

...arrgh!  Seems the person who was going to help me get the last few things moved out has flaked.  Left a phone message the other day and still no reply. Stuck having to sleep at the old place again tonight with a 100° day on tap for tomorrow (I expected to be out of here on Sunday).  Really want to get out of here as I am paying rent and power at the new apartment.  Been getting expensive going to coffee shops in the morning and getting takeout every day.

I saw a bunch of free stuff I had not gotten yet and threw one in and checked out.  I forgot to add them all to the cart before checking out.  Going to get the rest of them now.

...at my age I am prone to quoting C3PO:  "No More Adventures".

Going to try and give another call in a bit.

Crikey brekkie shouldn't cost upwards of 7$, particularly when it consists of just a bagel with cream cheese and cup of joe. Yesterday a burrito (granted a very good one) and bottle of "real" Coka Cola (cane sugar not fructose) down at the local foodie cart pod cost me 11$ with tip.  Even a big burger with fries at our local "equivalent" of In & Out Burger, (who use locally grown/made ingredients save for the soft drinks), can set one back nearly 10$ (and that is having water as the drink).

Here's my complaint. Yesterday was total garbage. Felt like crap for most of the day, worried about a friend who lives in the zones being stricken by severe flooding here in the States, and even trying to relax by playing games wasn't working since everything decided to just go wrong.  Aaaaaaah the only good thing that came out of yesterday was I got an actual good night's sleep, which I haven't had in several months.
