The 65% off mega fastgrab has the Centaur 7 Female, starter pack, and pro pack on sale(I bought the C7F pro pack 2 days ago). Like last time, only the Centaur 7 Male is on sale, not the starter pack or the pro pack for the male centaur. My female centaurs are getting lonely!

  • Should have caught up for most now.

  • Geez, I have told myself so many times that I must save up for PC+ sale coming next month. But ... agrr, I have to grab Raiya and OTT's new bundle right now cryingsad

Yep...finally picked up all the centaur goodies I passed on last time. I think I got the female bundle for $23 by putting the new shaders in my cart. And the extra skin/character was only like $3. The base male and his extra skins were only like $11 together. I didn't really care for any of the male outfits so it worked out ok for me not to have the pro bundle on sale. I do really like the male centaur outfit that is sort of merman-ish. Meulsfell Atlantis I think it is? Very different...but it's not on sale yet :(

Zylox...if you just bought it 2 days ago...buy again and they will refund you the difference. Might get you quite a bit back! (apologies if you already realize this...but I'd be kicking myself if I didn't think to do it myself.)

How long do these PA sales usually last? I'm seriously tempted to buy the new stuff from Raiya and OOT.

Damn. Just as I say I'm not going to purchase more, some PAs I love that almost never go on sale are. I love IgnisSerpentis but her (I think "her") products are always so expensive. And then I have to add a new product I don't really need to get some older products prices down, and so the cart Jenga starts again...

There's a staggering amount of stuff in her products, though. That new outfit has hair and poses, plus it's completely customizable. She has an hour long video of all the different things you can do with it. The materials and presets are pretty incredible. Like getting several outfits in one. The only other PA I know who does a lot of this is Arki. Very versatile sets, that often go with other stuff those PAs create.

I know, she has amazing products but wish she would create smaller packs instead of huge expensive ones. I would rather purchase in small affordable doses than one big expensive chunk. I ended up getting some older packs I've had on my wishlist and will wait till the newer products go on deeper sales, hopefully some day. If she had the packs separated in smaller chunks, I definitely would have picked those as my debut items.

I do apologize if my stuff is out of your price range, and esp on the last two being higher than usual... it comes down to what Hex/Rogue can do (becoming entirely different outfits or ways you can use them) over 800 materials with this one (its mix and match, both iray and 3DL) and 4 months of dev on it. My usual ones are not normally this expensive, as these are special editions (and Ill be scaling back the next to the norm range... making these special editions a rarer novelty, as the dev on them is nuts for even me) I try to do a range of sizes of sets in my store, so Im outfitting to multiple people's tastes (some love em massive, some like em smaller... thatswhatshesaidlol) OTOH, I don't really do small sets in general, as its not my shtick and never has been. Also, from past experience with bundling, everyone always goes for the bundle anyway, so the splits have become a waste of time for me and DAZ's server space and resources and they effectively end up burying other PAs atop... so, Ive pretty much pulled away from doing them. I just wanted to explain the whys and how there's a lot to consider not just for me, but also for DAZ as well.

PA sale itself lasts the whole month. And in October you have the PC anniversary sale.

Now that Day 4 has hit, I can say for sure that the new releases will be available for three days, the initial Debut and then two days as "Still New." However, this year, Daz is doing some sort of extra for the one day. Yesterday, for example, the purchase of two Debut items allowed you to select a car from the specified artist's catalog. Today, buying two Debut items adds another 10% discount (stacking, not adding,) to the Debut items and Featured Artists' catalogs. Tomorrow it will be something else.

If you get the bundle and one other Debut new release today, the bundle will cost you just under $16. If you wait until tomorrow, with a second item, you will (probably) pay $17.48.

Daz traditionally has one or two "catchup" weekends, but the prices usually aren't as good during the catchups due to a lack of stacking deals. However, we really never know what a sale will bring until it happens, as Daz tends to do every event differently. It's all part of the fun.

I enjoy the sales and the occasional stacking discounts as much as anyone ... but i have also begun making my own 3D objects [this flower example] for use in my seminar and that, beyound anything else, suddenly makes me realize just how much time, work, and effort it is to create this stuff. We can complain that the prices are high, but quite frankly, if we put in that much time, we would want paid for it also. I will try not to begrudge the price even if I pay full on occasion ... especially when it is quality stuff like this. ... so thank you for your efforts PAs, they are appreciated.

@3141592654 Exactly! I wouldn't know where to begin, though I do have the tools and want to learn "someday." Instead, I look for the most versatile items I can find (Iggy and Arki stuff) and also older, cheapie cheap stuff that can be recycled, retextured and spruced up. It seems to even out.

I was going to wait till the catch up sale, but bit the bullet and bought everything late last night. So glad I did, because I thought they would be in the "Still New" today but they are already gone. I used to think your sets were high priced too, Iggy, until I actually looked at everything in them. I was shocked at the amount of work you put into these. Now they are must buys. I pinch from other places to afford them because I wuv your schtuff! heart

PS. Your poses that come with these sets are awesome. Perfect for the clothing, and versatile enough for other scenes too.

Is it bad of me to wish there were a matching outfit for the male?

  • Yeah, thats exactly it. My usual sets are biggish and take me some time... but these last two are over the top. When they work on this "can be different outfits/worn different ways" level, you actually have to make sure they will work on that level. That takes some serious effort, you have to hide mesh, make geom corrections, do morphs, JCMs, all of which will still work correctly once you shut off parts. They also have lots more poses than usual as well as more weapons. Thats why they'll be special editions I do from time to time (maybe one a year going forward) with smaller stuff in between. My next, which is actually already rigged and waiting on me to be done with Rogue Element, is going to be normal sized. Two of these back to back nearly killed me lol Esp this one and its 800 materials (its funny how u think at the start, oh this wont be that bad... til your halfway in and youre like omg whyd I dooooo this??)

And some perspective... this was originally slated to be even higher priced, coz of all the materials more than anything... but DAZ and I discussed that being too prohibitive, so it was dropped to be in line with Hex. I took a bit of a hit on it, but I felt it was better for you guys.

@Ostadan -- lol no not bad of you at all. In fact, I would LOVE to do male stuff. Its kind of right up my alley, as a lot of my stuff is kind of masculine or war mongery in nature. The only reason I dont do more of it, is because it doesnt sell as well. I wouldnt say Ill never do another male thing (I do have some stuff on my to do list) but yah, sadly, they are a rarity.

  • I wish there were a cheaper way to trigger the discount on Rune... because I like her at the discount prince, but I don't like anything that triggers the discount.

OK thanks for explaining. I LOVE your products and I realize you put a LOT of work into them and you're extremely talented and detailed and your products are definitely worth what you charge. But the way the PA sale is set up, as a shopper, I would have preferred it if you had one pack for the product, one for extra textures, one for hair and poses, etc...  I would have been more likely to purchase all of them separately to trigger discounts but as one big bundle, it's a bit daunting for those on a budget.  And if your products were sold in smaller packs, I would have purchased one of your older packs every month with my PA coupon rather than having to wait until major sales where, even at half off, the bundle is quite pricey. I LOVE your work and wish I could own ALL of it,  just for me, being packaged as a big bundle, is difficult financially. But I was finally able to get the Hex Arcanum products, so I'm happy about that! laugh

Ahhh I see where youre going with that now. The funny thing is, I didnt originally slate this for the PA sale... but by the time I got thru my alpha testing... then DAZ's testing, I realized... hey, its almost Sept. The PA Sale... and next thing I know I was pinging Steve to include it lol So yeah, didnt plan ahead for it at all... it was just a happy accident lol

And yeah, I totally understand where you are coming from. When I first started out, I couldnt buy a lot all the time, or very expensive stuff either (thats actually how this became my job lol another happy accident) Thats why I try to aim for a range of different sizes, coz I know not everyone can afford these really big ones. Ill try to think up some smaller, less expensive things I could maybe do in between the larger ones... maybe some smaller outfits or something.

Yeah, they seem to have removed discounts on some things, and added the eight new items.  But they haven't put them into the sale, or added mega-fastgrab stuff.

I know this is a typical issue.  But forty minutes seems a bit longer than usual.

    Oh wow, thanks!

  • Quick question, how long does the PA sale usually last? A week?

The PA sale will last about a month - changing each day - with 2 or 3 catch-up sales mixed throughout. It should be followed by the PC+ sale.

  • Yeah, bad for the wallet, that is !

This being said, Most of the stuff up there these days doesn't appeal to me at all. Maybe once every 3-4 days, no more.
