I do want the library for the room, itself. It's the skate park feeling all over again. I see so many uses for it. I love the glass window-wall and the dome skylight part, the red cross beam and the ceiling piping.
It looks very versatile.
Today's deal is pretty odd. Who would buy the Lovable Nerd Bundle for $53.88 when you can get both bundles for $39.18? Even if you add all the texture add-ons it's still $4 less than the Nerd bundle.
I can't get the 65% off to match with the extra 50% off though. AFAICS it must be 75%, not 65. But maybe the 65% is for non PC+ members?
I think they expect nobody to buy just the one bundle but maybe more people to upgrade to the bundles from maybe 2-3 individual pieces.
I'm trying to figure out why the new nerds look so cartoony. Like I can't tell if my brain is in a weird place or if they actually are cartoony under the glasses and frumpy clothes because their proportions seem inline with more realistic models.
The promo images without the glasses look like a non-cartoony character.
As soon as I put the Nerdy Guy outfit on Simon, he got all pedantic on me and started complaining about the campus library. He whined, "You don't spell "philosophy" like that! What kind of hack school is this?" I may have to return him.

Yea, they're a bit uncanny valley, or at least he is, but in a nice way.

I'm trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on some Aeon-soul stuff. 60% off is good, but the PA sale is only a month away and it's not something I need much. Unlikely to get much better than 60%, but it might be useful as a trigger for other sales.

Honestly, if a campus library spelt it any other way, I would also worry about the quality of their education. Unless the alternative spelling was "unemployment".

I was going to say that I liked the V8 sale better, where people who had the older models got a discount, but... there IS something going on... I have O6 and O7, and when I put her in the cart, her price drops below $50. No banner or promo message about anything like this though, and it doesn't seem to say anything on the promo page either.
Today's offer is very generous if you don't own the previous Olympias. I already do, and actually prefer them more, at least to the promos. I usually love new character releases, but am not that excited about this one so far. I definitely prefer Olympia 7, but to be fair, it wasn't the promos that swayed me towards her. It was the user renders. So I'll try to keep an open mind and wait fo early buyers to post their renditions of Olympia 8.
I'm definitely not buying her, but for those who are thinking about it- remember a lot of time after the employees get to work, an orange banner for additional discounts pops up mid morning saying for previous owners of blah blah blah and you get another discount. And I also remember better deals coming up the second day, and it actually hurt early buyers. Just a thought.
Um, well, speaking of that, someone in the Olympia thread said they got an extra 10% off already, but no orange banner showing. Just checked and nothing in Exclusive Offers in messages in My Account.
I keep seeing a 40% off V8 banner but that didn't appear until V8 went off the intro sale.
Oh, I don't care about the Olympia part of the sale. Just that it's the first time all month that a bunch of DA items have been on sale, and adding a new PC+ item to the cart gives me 60% off a lot of PA's.

Orange banner here too... but I was getting that discount before the banner showed up. It is kind of a good deal because I don't have Olympia 7 or the add on bundle... but I'm not really a big Greece/Amazon render kind of guy...
One thing I'm seeing is the last deep dive on prices was in December 2016. It seems like stacking glitches have been far less frequent on DAZ lately. The errors all seem to swing in the favor of the discounts not applying as deeply as they should.
I've spent $3.49 this month, and still have both PC coupons. I would have used them already had the i13 flash sale not been when I was away....
