She's on point. I thought this was a fluke, but no- we went from March Madness to May-day for wallets and now to Gintsy-June.

Without a hook-up this is tough. I don't know why that new female figure gets a bundle, but Greybo's

Figure/Male/Female + Clothes + Poses iS NOT a bundle. And he's the main feature.

And on top of that -->  there's no actual "Beauty and the Beast" combination of both lines of products...

Barbarians got a bundle.....Elves....every one else gets a combination.

This product has been awaited for, for months...

    Campained......promoted....tons of pre-release renders....

You can't do more to promote a product.

I hate to always be so critical. It's easy to sit here behind a keyboard and bitch and moan about 'What could be better'

This one seems weird to me....

    * I'm going to go with 1 figure and stock up on the landscape featured vendor. Finally getting that Hidden River I wanted, but couldn't afford.

This strategy has got to be hurting sales. I haven't been buying with this 30% situation, with no incentives to buy more than 1 new release. People who own a lot of the catalogs are obviously good customers and they're simply saying "Meh."

    I agree.

plus DAZ is starting to look like a high-end 3D content store for professionals, than indie and budget priced content. I kinda blame the shrinking number of stores that sell 3D content. It reminds me of what happened with all the U.S. Airlines that we used to have in the 1980s vs today.

I haven't synced my wishlist to your extension, can I get it back if I do or will it just delete them there too?

That's a one-way thing. The addon only receives the wishlist from the store, it doesn't change it. If you haven't synced it since you lost a few items from it, then I can send you a list of SKUs that I have for you, and you can add them back manually. But who knows what got corrupted in your Daz userfile? I think the best solution is to write to customer support, and they will restore the list for you.

I manually restored them by using Time Machine to pull up an older version of my browser's localStorage for DAZ3D.com. Replacing the current versions with the older versions didn't restore them so I had to open them in SQLite Browser and export the JSON array for wishlists to a text file then painstakingly open all of the SKUs' product pages to check. For what it's worth I couldn't find any commonalities in what got removed except that they tended to come in sequences of SKUs within the list (which isn't AFAIK organized in any fashion).

DAZ is able to sustain it, so either they're doing just fine with revenues from the non-moany segment of the customer base - or they have some 4D Chess type strategy that is beyond-our-simple-minds.

Perhaps this dry period is designed to make the introduction of Genesis 4 / Victoria 8 look like super value when it launches with normal-exciting discounts.

@bloodpawwerewolf   Ya know, I just realized that today's combination makes it EXTREMELY worthwhile to pick up one new release, so I am going to admit I was wrong (just for today though. This isn't the typical offering the past few days)

Here's why you should perhaps pick up a new release- you get 20% off the stores. Then buying 3 things from those stores is another 20% off. Easy- Capsces has stuff already close to 70% off, those drop down to $1-2, (they go 88% off) buy 3 and get great discounts in the stores. 62%- 69% on average.) You can get the Megan and Matt Mega Bundle at 62% off, from 3DUniverse. Great deal! $19.18, the lowest it's been.

I wrote up a good combination I found (look for TIP in red)  over in my Art Studio thread. Here's the post, and examples of prices.

One of the things DAZ has been doing lately is creating a single sales page for the featured artists back catalog. That means you can go to the "Artists" dropdown filter list, uncheck the artist that is checked, and see ALL the products from all the featured artists. (That tip is courtesy of another member, a few pages back, though I don't recall who.) Now use the Sort filter to list from Low-High and you'll find lots of inexpensive items to help you get your three required for the extra 20% off. Unless, of course, you already have three or more items picked out.

    Wow, what did just happen?

Some items seem to have lost their DO discount, such as https://www.daz3d.com/lee-7-pro-bundle and https://www.daz3d.com/ophelia-7-pro-bundle and a lot more. At the same time, my wishlist lost these items.

This was a great test for the upcoming "restore wishlist" feature in real-life conditions, but still... What 's going on? :)

I'm not following this tip, but I feel like I want to understand it really bad.

I've had the feeling that the stacking discounts are out there, they've just moved the cheese on how to figure them out - and the people who know have been afraid to say because DAZ might move the cheese again.

And part of it has to do with the market getting flooded with a lot of old, low quality, inexpensive content that you have to dig through without a way to filter out for the new, high quality, inexpensive content that is sprinkled in among it.

Sorry I wasn't more explicit... I was in a hurry to fill my cart. In the end, I dumped all the cheap things because I didn't need them, and at $85+ I was already eating up nearly a third of this month's budget... on day one!

yeah...it's really rare for me to buy more than one new release on a day when i *do* actually buy a new release, now.  i skip purchasing much more often than i spend now.  and when something i want does pop up in the store, i'm not likely to pick it up on its premiere day or week unless i'm planning on using it in a render immediately...it's going to have that base 30% discount for three weeks or so, so what's the hurry?  and by the time those three weeks have passed, some other item i'd rather spend the money on has popped up in the store.

impulse or speculative oh-this-might-be-cool-to-use-some-day buys have become super rare for me...and most of them happen in fastgrab.  i check fastgrab before i even click on the new daily banner these days.  fastgrab is where the fun is.

it's great that daz has such an extensive backlist of products.  but to rely on that backlist to be the main engine for new product promotion seems, uhm, well, like wishful thinking.  especially when you've invested so heavily in convincing customers that genesis 3 figures and iray rendering are the current state of the art.

i came on board toward the end of the genesis 2 era, so my runtime is very genesis 3 weighted.  and while it's cool that i can use earlier generation figure products and stuff with pre-iray textures if i want to, thanks to some awesome PAs, i'm not about to focus my spending on them...especially since the new products, the ones with native genesis-3-friendly fits and morphs and great iray textures and lights are more expensive nowadays.

I think the blame was more mine for being too lazy to give what you described a try before I complained about not understanding what you were saying. ;)

@jardine, I'm pretty sure the new release discount goes away after two weeks. Other than that, I have to say I agree with you. Though I'm always happy to get a great deal on "older" products in my wishlist... like the Toon Generations 2 bundle, which I snagged today at 65% off, (using my monthly coupon on a cart with several not-so-old back catalog products.)

Today's sale is much like yesterday's, with the possibility of stacking discounts on the back catalog. Purchase two new releases to get an additional 20% off the new releases, as well as 20% off the featured artists' back catalogs. (And today they are the full back catalogs.) Then purchase two items from the back catalogs for another 20% off the back catalog items.

At the bottom of the page, there are a select few G3F products at 50% off, without additional purchase, 60% with any of today's new releases, or 70% off if you purchase one of the two new female characters released today.

Only problem is... at the moment, the discounts aren't correct!

I'm seeing this too.  the 70% off figures (if you have all of the necessary stuff) are showing at 66% off in the cart.

    Featured Artist Catalogs - 45% OFF¥

    No additional purchase necessary

Buy 2 or more items from these featured artist catalogs to get:
an EXTRA 20% OFF* of them.

Doesn't work right. The additional 20% when buying 2 items is definitely missing.

I used my DAZ originals coupon to get a few things from the blowout. I do like stacking sales, but am just not willing to jump through so many hoops today. I think it's time for less shopping and more rendering here.

Not going to buy two new releases I don't need and don't want just to get some % off of old articles which will show up for less anytime during this year. And if they don't, well, even these I don't really need.

If DAZ gets its wording in advertising wrong and then doesn't stick to it, fine, in that case, I don't stick to my shopping cart.
