    I tend to buy more male characters and products, as I have a plethora of gals and stuff for gals, but I'm really glad I got Megah anyway...

    @tkdrobert, my skills in Hexagon are abysmal. I salute you, for sticking it out long enough and learning the program well enough to get something made. And I like that cup. Looks like it can hold a lot of coffee... A prerequisite IRL! Good job. (Nice render, too.)

    @Ivy. Cute! A bit too skimpy for the weather we're having in my part of the country/world right now. Makes me warmer just looking at the sheen on her skin, (which makes me think it's hot where she is.)

    Here's my February entry to Llola Lane's monthly challenge, the PFDLives edition. Shape this month: Square.

    @L'Adair

    I think that the cheerleaders uniform is Dallas Texas Cowboys  ( or a similarity of), so it is properly warm there in Texas.  I know in Tennessee this weekend its been hovering high 70's low 80's almost summer like , its been very mild here this winter.

    @Ivy, Yes, Dallas Cowboys' cheerleader was my first thought, too.

    I'm in Oregon, (a hundred some odd miles south of Kyoto Kid,) and while it's raining at the moment, it was snowing a couple days ago. Low temps keep flirting with freezing and highs in the low 40s. Or so the weather sites tell me. My office is typically in the 70s this time of year, with my little space heater usually running on the low setting all day long. Although when the beast is rendering, I have been known to turn of the heater!  Fortunately for my thin blood, our winters are relatively mild most of the time.

     I live fairly high in the mountains NE TN , so even though I live in the warm climate of the south we still occasionly get snow and cold weather here.. We did have a cold snap the beginning of the year. But its been rain most of the time. & YES!  I'm like you.  when it gets 40 here we sometimes build a fire in the fire place..lol when it snows the town shuts down for the day I love small towns.. :)

    The "Father-Daughter Date Night" image above doesn't really showcase the characters, so I'm doing them separately. This one is of the daughter.

    The render of her "Proud Papa" is about half-baked at the moment. Probably be tomorrow before I post that.

    ..nice and yikes as  that would take days on my system with all those emissives and figures.

    The image on the left was rendered with 5000 samples, the one on the right was rendered with just 8 samples. I was working on a firefly filter and ended up reconstructing images, with little loss(or gain) of detail.

    Wow!  That is immpressive quality for that few samples!   Any details on how this was accomplished would be very welcome!

    I rendered at 4x the required size of 600x600 so that's 2400x2400 pixels. Max samples was set at 8. Firefly and Noise filtering were turned off. Pixel Filter as Gaussian, Pixel Filter Radius at 4 (because the multiplier was 4x).

    In my sluggish computer it took a couple of minutes to render with no GPU. After rendering, I resized image in Photoshop down to my required size (600x600) using the bilinear filter, other filters don't work that well.

    This technique is 625x faster than a normal render at 5000 samples.

    The upcoming version 4.11 incorporates an AI based denoiser that promises even better quality renders in less time, like 24x faster.

    Thanks Guys , I I wasn't sure it looked a little dark to me.  I did move the gama up to 2.7  which helped a little  and those bill board props really are great for these big scenes that you need to populate a crowd for
