They certainly do not ignore me
It successfully hid the threads. Thank you.
I don't have any reason to ignore you, but I could if it would make you feel better.
I have I built-in ignore button (I just skip posts that I find annoying). Don't need a forum function for that.
I am ignoring Steve but he isn't on these forums since he is either illiterate or computer illiterate.
On those occasions when I do ignore someone for a while, it's because it's like cookies on a plate, I can't ignore a tempting morsel when it is visible. Best to hide it for a while.
Out of curiousity, if you "ignore" someone here on the forums so you can't see anything they post at all, can they also see you? Or are you "ignored" to them also?
I doubt it. I might be ignored by some but I still see them.
Bet there was a time when the staff wished they could put me on ignore
, I've had so many final warnings it's gone beyond funny.
Aww come'on honey, you know you want too!
Poor Robbie Rist. Not only did they name the trope after him, but they kept casting him in those Cousin Oliver roles. Who remembers Dr. Zee from "Galactica 1980"? Who even remembers "Galactica 1980"?
What? He "saved the ship" 15 times in the first season, and became a god in the last season. What's not to like?
But nothing M&M compares to the crime of Mearth in the forth season. Nothing!
I am apparently in a bad mood and wish I could ignore myself right now
I ignore my good advice all the time.
What happened, your avy is even darker and .... where are you??
Uh uh, baby.
Not me. I'll get another "your post has been removed for Reason X, Y, or Z" notice.
ISave
Is prob better than crying and I actually have done that.
I hear ya. LOL
I don't have anyone on "Ignore" either. It is just way too easy to scroll past offending posts that it is not worth the effort to seek out the relevant place on the forums to make it official.
@HorusRa-I find it distressing that any requests for help may have been ignored or not responded to. I'd say to gently bump any threads with outstanding issues, if you still have a need. I've never found a more helpful and friendly group of people. I'm so very sorry that your experience has not been the same.
@Will-we don't agree 100% of the time, but I'd never igonre a genuine person who is always respectful of another veiwpoint.
Please remember when discussing the Ignore function to not ignore the TOS, particularly the rules about attacking other members and discussing moderator actions.
Yes. :-) Laughter is wonderful.
I would like a FB style 'like' for the forum posts. I'm talking particularly about threads with posts of renders. I want to like them but am too lazy to write something for them and somedays it's like well that would be like 5 or 6 posts by my saying I like that render in a row in the same thread...
In such a case I'd suggest being slightly more specific in your comments regarding renders. Along with saying you like it overall, you might also delve a sentence or two into what the particular things are that stand out as being awesome to you in this particular render. Your opinions and observations matter. Even if you might not feel your own opinion is qualified due to a recent introduction to the field of 3D; to my mind it's the feedback from unbiased un-jaded individuals who tend to inspire me the most."I like the sheen on the water and the formation of birds above the coastline." To me, this feedback is golden, no qualifications needed. This simple honest feedback tells me the six hours I spent tweaking every aspect of the water surface and that darned avian formation wasn't completely wasted, and encourages me to invest the same level of detail into the next project..
Don't misunderstand, the feedback of the learned has a different kind of merit. But the non-entrenched...Yes, I care what you think. Exactly what you think. Definitely. Lighting, texturing, posing, and all other elements combined help make comments useful instead of merely complimentary or derogotory. I find this sort of "deconstruction" of finished images to sharpen my own appreciation for people's works, for all the things they thought to do that I'd never think to do. Realizing how many hundreds of smart decisions the artist has made while compiling this artwork from a blank screen. And learning choice by choice, to be as brave as the artists who've inspired me.
Feedback to my mind, is essential for any type of meaningful growth. And all opinions are valid, so trust yourself and speak up.
Well - there is that Smiley ...
, why not use that?
I dislike the 'Like' buttons on forums as it leads to people using it rather than posting which eventually will degrade the forum itself. On the forum I am an Admin on we tried it for a while and then removed it as it was a waste of time and wasn't helpful. I seldom use the Like button on Facebook and never on other forums.
Thank you!
Only thing I ignore here is my credit card balance - ha ha.
+1
and how hard is it to just not read a post

•1- Hmmm... Sounds like a challenge...
•2- Yeah... It's been around nine years and I'm still haunting this place like a flatulent ghost.
