The Mods kindly hid the thraed in question. Let me know if the search now works for you.
I think there are many reasons people may block another person and I don't think that assumptions could or should be made about that person or why. Blocking is allowable in the forums and people are free to use that tool. It is here for a good reason.
People here will be unlikely to admit to blocking will even if the have.. It isn't an easy decision to block posts from another user if they are deemed annoying enough or offensive especially someone who is popular.
im actually a bit surprised this thread still remains.

Yeah, if anyone thinks people here are rude or obnoxious (not counting me... That's weird, obnoxious and lude)... Yeeesh, just sigh up on most any video game forum...
There's a lovely basket of baked biscuits... if you don't mind the dung beetle larvae filling inside.
Yes, I've seen some especially heated arguments here with some diligent fan-boyism, or just plain getting over excited over a topic... especially in relation to software or artistic nudity...
I usually don't even bother reading Video game forums, but back when Grand Theft Auto 5 came out there seem to be some super hidden Easter egg with a complex mystery to solve... So I joined a forum where people were trying to solve this mystery (nobody ever solved it and I'm pretty sure it was either something that was broken, pulled and never finished or it was a viral marketing ploy) I spent a couple or months there, and those places are just a test of how good a sport you can be in the face of mass stupidity, constant trolling and petty bickering.
After a while it became clear there was no solution to whatever was implied and it just became stupid... Only the real loonies or obsessed were left and up to a point, the only reason to pop in was to see them going at each other... It was like a wacko gladiatorial arena in loony land... Quite entertaining as a study in human behavior.
So if you've never really been at a forum like that... No matter how bad people here may seem to you at times, trust me... It's like a pile of kittens and puppies licking each other on a fluffy quilt, compared to some other forums... Even architectural forums I've been at have gotten nuts... You'll read a post and be like..."This guy is allowed to hold drafting tools... In public?... Without supervision?"... "Scary...." Because let me tell you, you'd be trying desperately to find out what structures some of these guys were responsible for and trying to avoid them at all costs.
Not to say, if you've had your feelings hurt here its insignificant or anything... But even if they've been really badly hurt and fell off, they'll grow back eventually and there are more then enough nice people here to help nurse them back to full health.
Not me though... Read the Surgeon General's warning for all indications and a list of important side effects.
And yes, I've seen a few people here and there say stuff that I'd never associate with them and think... "Hmmm... That's odd, I never thought they thought that way..." But I usually see something shiny and forget about it and I get confused by avatars anyway... So I'm like- "Wait.. was that the lady with the blue Avatar that looks like Frank Zappa wearing a frog on his nose, or the guy with the blue avatar that looks like a penguin kissing a frog... Could be the blue avatar with the swirly smooshed frog colored thing with the kanji for butter in the center... Or that one with the yellow border that looks like an Oreo individual serving package wrapper... Is that Oreos?... Maybe it's those sticky rice crispy treats with the foil wrapper... I think I ran out of those... I wish I had a rice crispy treat... What month is it?... This isn't my house... How did I get in here?... Oooooh rice crispy treats!"
That's the problem with art site forums, people make really cool avatars that look awesome as an 12 x 12 image, but as a thumbnail a lot is lost... Has anyone ever wondered what my avatar is? It's actually a picture of Krampus dancing with El Chupacabra... Not what it looks like, which is more like an orangutan at a bar... Very confusing. Shrunk down most avatars just look confusing or borderline pornographic... Admittedly most pastries give me confusing feelings, but sometimes it's hard to remember who is who and where you got the rice crispy treats from.
I don't know what my original point was.

As Homer says, the easiest job for a coach is kicking people off the team.
YOU are ignored, and you, and you, and you... you made the cut! Oh, wait, no, you're on ignore.
I've never used the ignore feature and never will. I ask enough of my computer in getting it to compensate for my dodgy maths every day without getting it to do my ignoring for me as well. It occurs to me though that the ignore feature can't be a lot of good if you can ask who is ignoring you and expect to get a response from them :)
A man in an unfamiliar city was riding the bus. Unsure of where his appointment was he asked the person next to him. She instantly recognized his destination and said to him, "It's easy, just watch me and get off one stop before I do."
Yay! I made the team! I made the team! I made the --- oh.... oh, no...
XD XD XD XD
Thank you. It looks like it was a success (hard to verify a lack of something). Would you mind hiding the "Sales-Translation Plain Text Reloaded" thread as well?
Ignoring people might be limiting.
How will I know what's going on, if I don't read all the posts?
A lot more peacefully.
i never ignore anybody. ... except for the drunk angry at the world guy at the bus stop. >.<
invitying yall 3d selves to the Fantasy Tavern for a pint.
Bald wizards, Lillithian Succubus, Orcs, Elves, Bounty hunters, walking carpets, etc, all welcome
Sometimes I need to ignore the entire Internet. Because.
Often I only keep half an eye on threads here (especially the "off topic" ones), even those I've commented in, because time mostly.
I've also written many, many comments that I've had the good sense not to post.
I'm not aware of ever having blocked anyone, because even the village idiot (that's me, btw) makes sense sometimes!
My ignore list is currently at 0%. I've ignored I think 4 people in all the time I've been on a Daz forum, and all of them have left or been banned later because they were very rude/unpleasant/inappropriate-wall-of-texters. Just disagreeing with me or occasionally irritating me or, indeed, saying nasty things about a product I've made (haha, someone recently said our Anime Character Builder was hideous and bug-eyed or something like that) is not grounds for me to ignore someone. It has to be like, someone who's just spit out 1000 words about their spirituality interspersed with animated glitter-gifs in a thread that's meant to be about converting clothes between generations. (Yes, something very like that has happened and will probably happen again.)
On one forum I was on for a while I wanted to ignore a mod but could not. I doubt one could ignore a moderator or a moderator can ignore anyone.
Hahaha! This made my day, SY! XD
PS: I LOVE your Anime Character Builder. Since the release of Star 2.0 - oh, man - just a perfect marriage of two products that create the most awesome toon fems in Gen 3, Legacy 7 females (also Aiko 7 is nice when added into that equation)... [incoherent rambling beyond this point]
I'm going to seek out animated glitter gifs now and spam a post about Iray in order to discuss my opinions about the controversial and spiritual velocities of hurricanes versus Nor'Easter Storms.
I want to ignore Kulay Wolf but I cannot apparently. I cannot get a restraining order on her even though wherever I go there she is.
I see a way to ignore you but I do not want to ignore you as your stuff is way too cool!
I've only ignored two people, both for unrelenting negativity and ego.
I can tolerate a good deal of both... most of the time, when some new person swoops in and starts up with the "ALL OF YOU ARE STUPID GIVE ME ADVICE NO NOT THAT NO NOT THAT EITHER THATS DUMB" I just stop reading that person's posts. I figure lack of my great wisdom and style is punishment enough.
But some people don't grow out of it or leave.
I've contacted the Mods about it. I'll let you know what they decide.
The Daz Forum Team agreed to hide that thread as well. Be aware it does still exist, but in a restricted area. So do let us know if hiding it has worked please.
I know, I was totally kidding. Richard and Cho and the team knows I love and adore them or is that abhore them... I can't ever keep that mind of my str8. I wonder why?
Sometimes I think one moderator is mad at me but I will not tell you who she is or she will be mad at me.
I can see how to ignore others, but how do I ignore me? I want to have no regrets...or typos I didn't catc the first tim.
Oh I know I've gotten on Richard's last nerve a time or two! LOL
I looked into ignoring Kulay Wolf but there seems no way to do so.

I cannot ignore moderators even if I think she is mad.
Why not? I ignore myself all the time! ;-)~
