The OpenGL view doesn't work with Radeon cards; I still have all the bugs I had with the alpha version.

Sigh.... nearly 3 months since last update of PB,  0 critical issue has been fixed in the latest build ~~

  • At this point we have better chance asking claude to make a daz clone

DAZ Studio 6 is a wasted chance.
Imagine, what could have been done, since DAZ studio 5 has been anounced,
but is is all about a "hey an AI assistent has been added".
    No Dforce 2.0
    No RTX renderer
Nothing done about the Timeline, to make animations easier.
    The list goes on...

And many basic functions locked behind a paywall.

Actually our first priority is to get solid usability, stability as well as longstanding bugs fixed....rather than brand-new features in DS6 ~

But now, when pressing shortcuts, nothing happens as you have to click in Viewport to get it focused first of all.... when accidentally Zoom In/Out even if the cursor doesn't fall in Viewport, it still Zoom In/Out.... when rendering some Scenes, DS crashes, so on and so forth.

    Disappointed ~~~

Are the devs even present here on the forum, I never hear anything from daz other than mods. At blender you could interact with developer and have a section for reported bugs you could track.
And if they are having such trouble with developing daz then atleast make a better blender bridge.

My thoery is daz probably bought into the ai hype and kicked out the actual devs.

The devs are still here, even though they don't interact on the forums. Bugs are being fixed all the time, you only have to look at the change log.

  • Okay Dr Evil I totally believe you.

Which OS and version do you have?

Radeon card owners seem to be having the same issue; in previous versions, the geometry was invisible, now it is completely black.

Nothing that was part of the application in DS 4 is behind a paywall in DS 6.

From my point of view, progress are made in DS6, too slowly for us end users, but I suppose there are big changes under the hood with QT6 and so on.

An open source dev would be great for a free program. It's not Daz perspective.

For Carrara, instead of letting it rotting, opensourcing would be an extremely good idea...
