    That is a very plausible explanation. When my nieces were infants, I sewed them stuffed monkeys. The monkey was named Fred, for reasons I don't remember. When I had it sewn, but not stuffed yet, my husband saw it flat on my sewing table and called it a Fred skin rug.

    Here is an old worn out Fred on the left and a new Fred, for the next kid, on the right.

    The pattern came from the Woman's Day magazine September 1, 1978.

    What's the duf size for that one? I'm surprised you struggled to render it, unless your PC is getting on in years? I can render 8k images on a Ryzen 7, 64Gb DDR5 and 3080Ti, though it takes hours to do.

    The scene file is not unusually large. It is 1940 KB. My computer is pretty old. The CPU is Intel 8700K, so many generations old. I have 32 GB of RAM and a 10GB RTX3080 GPU. I think the main problem was all the hair on the lion cloak. There are several hair pieces. I also used an HDRI that took up some memory. I used Scene Optimizer on the character's skin textures and hair textures. I also reduced his rendering mesh resolution.
