     I had a spectacular fall today. Knocked a 27" monitor and a bunch of expensive stuff on the floor.

    Fortunately nothing was broke. But my rear end is sore from the fall.

    I don't want to clutter this thread too much. Full story is in my Art Zone thread.

    How come 'Passports for Pets' was an 'Official Monster Raving Loony Party' policy that actually got adopted across the then EU? Seems ridiculous. But I suppose it means not all cats and dogs have to go into 6 months quarantine when being brought into the UK any more. The only other policy by the Monster Raving Loonies that's really been adopted was the 'Council Tax' and anyone from the UK of a certain age will know how that went... Regards, Richard.

    I see a new Stonemason Paris environment in the store today. Unfortunately I only have 66 cents of store credit, so Richard and team will not be exploring the back streets, unless Daz comes up with a good Gift Card sale. The guys will have to stick to the main tourist areas.

    I did buy a plane cockpit for 99 cents, though, in case Richard gets a chance to demonstrate a new skill.

    I've never left the US in Real Life. So I appreciate a Virtual Vacation.

    Sorry about my typing. I'm having another lazy day sitting on my hospital bed with the varying air air mattress.

    The hospital table has to sit high enough to clear my "generous belly!"

    It's rather awkward.

    I've been to all seven continents now after Antarctica this past winter (their summer), Ron. I'm glad to take you on this virtual vacation with your friends. I bet pushing that luggage cart wore you out. I hope you can relax on the plane.

    the furthest overseas I have been is to Tasmania cheeky

    I live in Adelaide South Australia 

    mind you that ferry over the Bass strait was pretty choppy and the plane to Melbourne hit turbulence too so was enough of an experience for me. prefer land travel any day and have driven all the way to Bundaberg Queensland myself on some pretty hairy roads in a crappy gutless Mazda long wheelbase van, some mountains I was struggling in 2nd gear

    I've felt "massively honored and thrilled" to have a part in your ongoing story.

    I'm also flattered at the concept of my being "mobile and strong enough" to push such a loaded cart.

    In reality, I'm an old "rotund" guy who uses a walker to "toddle" through my day.

    Oh, by the way, I haven't had any near accidents in the past two days.

    That's because I've spent most of the time on my hospital bed watching TV and using my notebook computer.

    Now, I have never been to Tasmania. I've been to Sydney once for a few days. It rained a lot while we were there. My little travel umbrella turned inside out and broke in strong wind. The hotel loaned us umbrellas for the rest of our stay.

    Now that is good to hear. Stay safe, but remember the saying "use it or lose it". Don't stay sedentary too long and lose your agility to get around (she says as she sits in her computer chair for hours at a time.frown). Are you still going down to lunch with your friends every day?

    I go down for lunch most days.

    Some days I have a bad heartburn after breakfast. It's not a pretty sight... I stay at home when heartburn attacks.

    That makes me so damn envious!

    I wish I had Australian Citizenship.  I'd buy a van, drive-off into some far-off desolate land and live the van life, only ever witnessing "civilisation" when I need to drive into town for food and stuff (and maybe catch-up online if there's no signal out there).

    Plenty of sun for free power to compute with, even in the middle of nowhere!

     

    it was just a tradie van but had fold down seats so 5 people could fit with plenty of room at the back, I had them folded up and a double bed matress in it, Mum and I did a few trips to different places, she died 25 years ago and I sold the van quite a few years before that.

    I don't drive now, too many idiots on the road and too scared

    I have bus and train station nearby and can and (need to) walk to 2 nice shopping centres opposite directions, one is a big mall

    sadly I am missing much of my homevideo footage too, one tape malfunctioned and another was stolen along with the camera it was in plus the VHS recorder I was copying it to while I was away at work, so don't have much to show for that trip, just some photos, frustrating as went on a rollercoaster at Dreamworld that no longer exists, videod cane fields burning, fish in the Great Barrier reef in a glass bottomed boat and all sorts of stuff as well as obviously my late Mum broken heart

    My sister lives in RV. She goes to different parks in the West, stays for awhile then moves on.

    Haven't heard from her for a few months. Maybe she got lost.

    I was part of an online show on YouTube tonight.

    The host has been a good friend of mine since my early days of doing Youtube videos back in 2007. 

    I made Youtube videos and did live shows till 2013.

    Then I was assaulted by online trolls and retired.

    I got some great comments on my acrylic paintings.

    I might start doing YouTube videos again. I just need to reconnect a few things.

    Be careful when you reconnect things! Isn't that how the accident happened, when everything fell over?

    Just need to find my web camera and reconnect it.

    Then I need to reconnect a soundbar to the computer that I use for DAZ Studio and making videos.

    barbult, thanks again for your wonderful story. I am so delighted to be included in such a tale.

    I'm a little fuzzy when it comes to a good way to provide feedback.

    At times I've mentioned something in my life, like the party where I invited some of my lady friends. I was amused and happy to see you included that party in your ongoing story,

    At the same time I don't want to do anything to distract you from your intended direction.

    My recent comment on my childhood experience of flying is an example. 

    The funny thing is that I will have an anxiety attack over just about anything other than flying.

    So just move ahead with your intended direction.

    As an aside, here is a picture of Tango, my favorite dog. Tango and his family visit us on many Fridays. Today was Tango's birthday.

    Tango  was once a service dog for Ethan and Cherys daughter. He was with her through highschool, then he retired.

    The daughter then had another service dog, Yeti. Yeti was with her through college.

    Unfortunately, Yeti had cancer, and they couldn't stop it. The entire family got together to help Yeti pass on.

    Chery and Ethan often visited Louise on Fridays. They brought Tango along.

    Every year they celebrated a combined birthday for Louise and Tango. 

    Louise died last year. This was the first birthday without Louise.

    Tango is 12 years old. He is such a wonderful dog. We all love him.

    This was Yeti.

    I rode in a Hot Air Balloon this morning at sunrise and then went to the Balloon Museum. In the gift shop I saw Richard Haseltine taking a rather unique balloon ride.

    nevermind me, I have weird little thoughts about phrasing sometimes and an urge to share them angel

    you don't want to know what I picture when people say they are going for a car ride, I am seriously weird

    And I didn't drop the camera, but winds picked up an we had a hard landing. The basket thumped hard on the ground, bounced, and tipped over. They had warned us that could happen. We survived OK. My husband was a little smashed by me falling on top of him.
