Holden looks absolutely stunning. So what is this "Omni Skin" ?
I've never heard of it. Given the amazing results on Holden, I don't understand, why this skin shader is not standard yet.
EDIT:
After some testing I can say, this is the best character from the DAZ store yet, period
Just wanted to let the mods know that clicking on the artist link whilst on Holden's product page, doesn't work.
I get a lizard saying "OOPS!" if I click on the artist name of "UV Rapt".
Quality stuff. Couldn't click the username quick enough (hoping to see what else they released).
I bought him, but I have a question for anyone who knows about this "Next generation skin shader: powered by NVIDIA's OmniSurfaceBase Iray shader, the included OCN Omniskin material preset..." I am totally lost on this reference and even with my Nvidia updates have not seen a reference to it. Do I need some new essential products for this to work?
I have an RTX-4080 card on my Windows 11 but also use my MacMini M4. Will he work on both?
I'm waiting until Sunday until I have a gold star again to get Stonemason's Main Street USA. I'm a sucker for his products and this should be great for 1950s moive scenes.
Bless you. Cool. That's bigger than I expected. Time to drain my wallet.
Maybe it was removed under the new image rules because there was too much of the model exposed? (Yes, that was a joke.)
all the shoulders on those roads too
The overhead that was included is to show that this is where all the detail is focused, the outer streets are just to add depth to renders that are focused on the main street, but you shouldn't expect there to be any interesting details in those areas
Stonemason's Main Street USA is my new favorite set. I'm so glad this got released before my membership ran out.
Sigh. So I guess we'll have to continue waiting for Stonemason's URBAN NUDIST COLONY...
Any environment can be a nudist colony.
Some less sucessfully than others, For example: https://www.daz3d.com/muelsfell-modular-hellscape or https://www.daz3d.com/asteroid-belt-kt15
silly question
but how is it cheaper with DAZ+ membership?
I do need stars so had to buy something today and will have to tomorrow before getting it
but that just meant I get less of that extra stuff for my money
Its cheaper because its much easier to accumulate Tokens with Premier. When I don't have Premier, I rarely have any tokens at my disposal. So I only buy a month of Premier during the big sales and I plan all my buying during those times so that I can usually apply 6 to 8 tokens to a cart on top of whatever other discounts are going on at the time.
FrankTheTank, I do the same, mine actually ran out 2 days before hit the store, did 2 months
but I never spend enough for many, if any tokens, so there's that

I have no words...Please, give us the option to filter out certain PA's.
Didn't you know only women are secretaries? (Heavy sarcasm. Every time I tried to study a profession in college, a couselor told me "Honey, you should focus on office administrative skills." Or I shouldn't go because I was just going to get married and would be waste the money my 'daddy' would spend on me.)
I actually liked the poses and agree that there should have been a base and masculine versions for G9 done. So many men are teachers, or in professions where white boards and writing on them is routine. But I could see where a guy might hold himself different, even if we disregard the mess high heels does to a female's stance. I believe I have it on wishlist.
Some men never ask for directions either . . . maybe that's because they don't like to write things down (giant grin)
That's gotta be it!
I can probably count on one hand how many times I've read instructions and that was disassembling and boring cylinders to the proper tolerances on an aircraft engine. Writing on the other hand, I was a police officer and 90% of the job is paperwork. I have to write everything down now and set a dozen alarms to remind me I need to do stuff.
Unless they're SEXY intellectual pursuits!
I liked that the writing stuff poses at least had the figures in sensible shoes.
On the subject of poses, I admit the belly dance poses and shape gave me a grin today. The figure is very nearly a dead ringer for how one of my friends looked in the 90's-00's, when coincidentally she was doing a lot of belllydancing shows at Renn Faires and such. The likeness is close enough -- including the makeup and hair -- that I wonder if the PA was using an old photo as a reference.
Definitely going to pick it up at some point and give her a cameo somewhere.
'Sexy intellectual pursuits' started a train of images of 'geeky aerospace engineers' of the early space period who worked to rescue Apollo 13, the men (and women) who are aerospace engineers and test pilots in the US Air Force and test tolerances on new craft, the crazy number of senior military officers and senior NCOs I knew with PhDs, combat engineers, and the men who are being encouraged to be public school teachers (at little pay) so kids have positive male role models at all levels of their education, just as women teaching STEM courses.
Yes, today there are pads and laptops to record data, but still that pad of paper, pen, pencil can easily record a quick note and not use limited battery power in the field. And looking at my desk now, it is littered with postette notes where I have written notes of problems, issues, reminders, versions, ... that I don't want to lose in the bowels of my computer's file structure.
I've pretty much given up on ever being able to do much with G9 males, as the vast majority of pose packs really only seem to be designed for the female form, while the G9 males themselves tend to take on more femine body shapes at times, especially around the hips. Isn't ironic how so many people thought that having a unisex base would encourage more male products to be developed and the exact opposite seems to be the actual result?
