agreed, very cool!
how did you even find this? today's sales page is a 404 for me.
New Arrivals at the bottom of the store's homepage
https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-tiny-house
I'm not necessarily wild about the product, but I do think the sequential, narrative promos are a fun idea.
where?
You don't see the new releases at the top of the shop front page?

I love the Sci-Fi Tiny House. I can totally see it's versatily as secret military base, temporary research station or even just a low budget resting place for hikers. Do hope there will be some vehicle(s) in the future to transport them, like a sci-fi re-imagination of the Sikorsky Skycrane.
And maybe some corridor system to snap several together, though I've already got several different sets of modular sci-fi colony assets in other styles to fill that niche, so that would really just be a nice extra to me.
I agree, this looks fantastic. But the problem for me is, one of the main the selling points is the main character with the stylized hair and beard. And they do not identify where that hair and beard comes from. The figure is Thimor 9 (they misspelled it in the screenshots), but the hear/beard is unknown. Unless anyone can identify where it's from?
The other thing is the description is obviously written by AI due to the final line where it says it could make a more concise version.
I agree, this is a really cool asset! I can see it in a variety of scenes as well.
I LOVE the Robo Pack, but it looks like none of the robots are rigged (nothing in decription, and no promo images suggesting it), so there's no even slight changing the poses, and that makes them less usable. Too bad, because they're adorable. I guess on the wishlist they go for now. Maybe one day, they'll be at "not rigged but who cares?" price.
I just asked someone to take a look and let me know, and if so, I'll see if they can update the listing to indicate the rigging.
Thanks! If they're at least somewhat rigged, this is a game changer. If not, then well, still nice robots. :D
Edit: I decided to remove this PA from my wishlist, so don't worry about it.
Thanks. I am also interested if the robots are rigged.
I looked at the file list in the Read Me link and I couldn't tell if there was any. But I am not sure what I need to look for. It was a very short list.
I initially thought it was addressed to the Daz product reviewers; in any case, placing that passage above seems like a mistake.
The character's skin, hair, and beard are all made of special materials; I guess and hope that PA will release a series of products like this.
By the way, that robo pack's picture looks way too much like AI.
Have you tried this FREE version to see how it performs?

are just props, but I still like them very much.
I like the idea, but the execution is a bit flawed. Lots of wasted space, no windows or other provision for natural lighting in case the power fails, ditto for the lack of an emrgency exit should something make the front door blocked or inoperable, and, most glaringly, no sink in the bathroom area, meaning you have to either use the shower or go out to the kitchen sink after using the restroom... something at could have been easily solved by having the top of the tank have a small sink installed (a common trick I've seen many times in small Japanese apartments.) There also doesn't appear to be any clothes or dish washer, though those could theoretically be behind one of the cabinet doors, or any way to see who or what is outside though one could theoretically use cameras and a laptop for that.
Thanks for telling me about this. I'm doing other work at the moment. I should be back to doing that same animation later this month.
Nothing of interest really. And the discounts are soft. 60% off featured artists without a bump for buying something else. 50% off a single PA's store, also no bump. Most of the "Elven" things are pre-G9 or weapons, including laser swords. Very elven.
Not really complaining, this makes up for those days when I want to buy a lot of things, I suppose.
What kind of clothing store doesn't have a back room or a changing area or, at a minimum, a doorway that would lead to such places? A doorway, perhaps with a sign "changing rooms" is all this needs to be functional. Oh well.
Oh, you would be suprised! There was this store in San Francisco that I often walked past that had no changing rooms, the garments came in one size, and entry was by appointment only. You would come it and they would measure you so you never had to try the clothes on... the opposite of ready to wear.
No, I would not be surprised. High end boutiques are known to me. These kinds of places still need to have a doorway to a back room, perhaps even a public facing "office" when private consultations can take place with the super elite. The workers need somewhere to "become unseen" when they aren't working with a customer. I'd also expect a high end store like that to have a customer facing restroom. A store with no non-public areas is exceedingly rare.
It has a reception area, and the spacious interior clearly indicates it's a boutique. It also has fitting rooms—the kind with a large mirror and a curtain—but in my country, only inexpensive clothing stores do that. Or perhaps it's a high-end boutique with appointments, where only one customer is needed, so there's no need for a separate room with a door? Maybe that's a local custom? I don't know.
If one is making an asset for sale, shouldn't one maximize the number of possible uses for better sales? As I said, it just needs an open archway to nowhere. Or a door to nowhere. Having to potentially edit the model makes the asset less attractive.
Yeah, it has a very weak/unfinished feeling as is as a store design, especially when compared to some of the other stores out there in the 3D world, and even when compared to this vndor's own Fashion Show Changing room which has many of the same elements. For one thing, the lack of any stand alone display fixtures beside a knee level table is baffling, as is the lack of any signage, while the fitting areas aren't practically designed and are clearly way too small to actually change in (not to mention not even being deep enough to hold the mirror facing sideways), and while the rough stucco & pottery textures and the near monochromatic color scheme work fine for the store itself, having all the clothes in dull earth shades makes me wonder if the name of this shop is "Everything's Beige" or "Dare To Be Drab" :/ Given that no alternate color mats for the clothes seem to be provided, I have to wonder it it's even possible to liven them up with individual colors to add some variety easily. All of this is rather disheartening, as normally I buy just about everything from this vendor (currently owning 438 of their products), but while I like the parts of the store that are here, it's going to take so much work and stealing from other sets to make this a believably viable store that it's easier just to use one of the many other stores I already have.
The abaya set (https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-abaya-set-for-genesis-9) looks really well made (and well researched) to me, am even getting it today to also invoke the gift card discount which is up as a banner right now. The vendor is rapidly becoming one of my favorites.
I wish Magic Brush would stop putting G9 as a requirement in their environments when not at all required and also, stop sticking their models all over the promos, in some cases big enough to obscure what they are actually trying to sell. End of rant.
Fantastic product and one I bought too. A few different pieces that can be layered and some nice rings too.
I also bought the Polish store with an eye to kitbashing. I think the space is particularly lovely, even if I agree with others who question its suitability as a store.
YES!!! Yeah, sure, the character in the pics is part of the bundle the enviornment is in... but put those promos in the chracter asset and put the set in the "also used" section. If I'm looking at the environment, I want to see that asset, not a bunch of portrait photography. The only thing the figure is doing is getting in the way, annoying me, and turning me off any of it.
Fabiana's FK Sibilant Grace Jewellery Volume 2 - Limbs is here! Just as beautiful and with the same great possibilities (materials, rigging) as the first part. Flew immediately into my cart. Now I'm actually just waiting for a ring set... ;-) Or would rings in the same design be too much? If you 'put on' the bracelets, that might be the case, but otherwise, of course not. Maybe with a few morphs that make the bracelets really narrow... Hmm... ;-)
