That was a swing of emotions  , I think I listened to most 80s music in the last 2 weeks as ever before in the last 20 years, it awake so much memories , spirits and sentiments I forgot about .. music was the key to the old memories , but I had the best B-Day week ever ! just as I wished .. Thank you @Scatha and everyone else for being part of that

LOL Tim ... and btw  The word gens is sometimes translated as "race" or "nation", meaning a people descended from a common ancestor (rather than sharing a common physical trait)

Can I ask what you use for texture creation?  All your materials are excellent, but they also include things like specularity, normals, displacements, bumps, and heck even the kitchen sink.  I'm getting to the point in my rendering where I should be looking at making my own from scratch.

    Frankly, your work is inspirational.

For my last shaders ? my workflow is more complicated to explain in a row but for 3D normals I use Zbrush I build the 3Demensional model before exporting even for tile maps so you get not flat result , I check the color range with Photoshop CC 2015 so there is no clipping on textures as Iray is sensitive, I use Zbrush GOZ to PS for direct seamless texturing  in real time on a model or flat surfaces , I have large database with PBR values for specific materials like specular levels etc.. You may use some new texturing software that will make your process much easy and faster expecially with Iray , there is plenty of them on the market like 3D coat or MARI 3D

    Thank you :)

Happy belated birthday! Thanks very much for the great freebies.

On a loosely related note, for fun I've been showing old 80s music videos to my 9 year old daughter and she finds them absolutely hilarious.  "Look, this one has a bunch of curtains moving in the wind too! Did they do that in all music videos in the 80s?"  But if you want to see a giggle fest, watch "Total Eclipse of the Heart" with a kid sometime!
