No MakeArt or MakeSkimpWear button either (-_-)...
ETA @ Miss Kulay: a board that hovers ;-)... (ever see the Back to The Future movies?)
thanks. Sounds like it would be stupid.

If you lived on a mountain like we do you would probably think it was quite useful, a mile down to the shops is not too bad, but a mile back up carrying the shopping can be a bit more strain.

...or flying cars (thankfully considering how people drive today)
Though one of these would be real handy.
Ah, but there is...I've seen one. Unfortunately, it only works in a dedicated rink and it's still in development, but it was working. There was a video on YouTube. I thought someone in here pointed it out a couple of weeks ago.

Morning. 2015 iz looking grey and overcast from here. And spooky quiet, only a soft breeze under the wings of songbirds to carry them from branch to branch warbling in the new year :)
I just took a guess my age test on facebook and one of the questions had you point out the time machine
thanks. Sounds like it would be stupid.

...just use a backpack and grab onto the rear fender (like Marty did) of passing Rover or Vauxhall going back up the hill. ;-)

I think the flying car will have to be mostly auto-pilot. For the very reason you mentioned. But they'll be too expensive for the average Joe for a while, anyway. And even then, you won't be able to just drive out of your garage and start flying. Laws are already in place that declare that you must take off and land at a local municipal airport, convert it to road, and drive home or to wherever your destiny takes you.
The Jetsons was full of false hopes!

I want the hover board from the second movie
...happy "Next Year". still eight hours to go here.
Too bad they don't fly the Concorde anymore. You could celebrate New Year's in Paris then jump on and celebrate New Year's again in New York. (given the change in time zones, a flight from Paris to New York would land at JFK two hours and fifteen minutes before the time it left Charles DeGaulle Airport local time).
Everyone is sleeping in with their hangovers!

...then, there are other hazards like birds (which must rely on their own natural "built in" CAS that isn't plugged into the control grid). Remember it took a few birds ingested into the engines of an Airbus 320 to force the crew to make a dead stick ditching in the Hudson River.
Well it will be a long ways off anyway (again thankfully), as they are still working out the kinks in self guided cars that remain on the ground.
However, it would be cool to have a car which folded down into a briefcase. No more parking issues.
..forty five years go when I was young, stupid, and "invincible" it would have been cool. Now when I think about it, the first thing that comes to my mind is not the thrill, but all the medical bills I'd be saddled with after my first attempt to ride one.
One of the preexisting conditions not covered by my medical plan is stupidity.
It said I was 10yrs younger than I am. I just posted I wish. I have the mentality and bodily issues of a 60 yr old. My youngest son get that he was 45. This is also the same kid who is ahead of his time by far. Straight "A" student, 1st in his class in STEM, in 8th grade doing 10th grade work. The program he's in will make it so he will have an associates degree when he graduates high school. He still wants to go to college 4-6 yrs to get his masters or Doctorate in engineering and looking and working to go to MIT. He's also a drummer in his school Jazz Band and in the Robotics club that competes all over the place.
Speaking of the Future that wasn't... :)
...looks comfy.

I didn't have to log in to download it. I closed the log in dialog and was able to download the file then. I don't have an account there.
Dana
Dropbox has changed but you can still download if you haven't got an account, just quit all the nag screens you see :)
Lemme know if you want UV templates for the rest of the MAT zones :)
Restaurant at the End of the Universe time :)
Houdini Indie is full Houdini, just a limited commercial license.. for $199! :ahhh:
You have to earn over $100,000 (I think) before you cough up the two grand (which I'd gladly do).
Three years ago there was no "cheap" version and the full cost was almost $8,000. :bug:
...saw that on the site but thought it was just plugin for animation. 199$ and it is the full proggie with no hamstrngs save for the income restriction? Yeah, like I'm going to earn 100 grand in the the next ten years doing 3d work. I'll have to check in on this. Might solve my modelling app. issue so I don't have to save up 1,500$ for Modo.

A fine son :)
I'm a proud dad for sure.
I did basic robotics at the MIT media lab, he won't regret the hard work :)
Very nice. Someone must have told her, "Smile when you point that thing at me!"

Well, Happy New Year everyone.
We'll see if it's a better one or not.
