Ooh! Shiny! For one thing, the Required Products field on each product page now tells me if I own the required item. That's a winner. I think there are more clicks to get to things that used to have a cascading menu, like Forums>The Commons. I have to click on Forums, then click on Commons.

One thing that appears to be missing is the ability to reverse a sort. They have price low to high and high to low, but if I sort on newest, I cannot reverse the sort to see oldest.

I love the "Hide owned products" option, but not seeing freebies is sad.

    http://www.daz3d.com/free-3d-models-and-content/

The Thrilling Twelve is not present. I cannot see Ollok, for instance. When I search for "Ollok", the proper page shows up, but sorting from lowest to highest price doesn't show 100% items.

Oh, those were never on that page, they're here: http://www.daz3d.com/freebies?utm_source=sharecg&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Freebies

Yes, but they would show up in categories. Ollok in Creatures and so on. Besides, the box "This Week’s Freebies" is empty. Well, luckily I have the bookmark :D.

Another thing: Jerome for M4 normally costs $7,95. He's included in the M4 and V4 Sale (70% for non-PC+). Yet after adding him to the cart, the price remains the same.

Do you have a new release in the cart at the same time?

Yes, I do. Jerome isn't affected.

Like I'm not in a bad enough mood already...the site looks especially awful for me now because I have to use a slight browser text size increase for my monitor resolution.

I know that's my personal problem, but...who thought this was a good idea? I'm all for upgrades, but it almost seems like if people aren't complaining about something, that something apparently needs to be changed.

Yea! Add-ons for this product now at the bottom. Good work Daz.

My only question: Does it list all of the Add-ons, or a maximum of 6?

Currently max of six. Some products have hundreds of Add-ons, so we pick a subset of them that won't overwhelm the product page. We don't have a good way yet to view all add-ons for any given product.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe a "Click to See More" button which has a div which slides open a table with the rest?

Anyways, I'll take what I can get.

The "my Account" page is still blindingly blue on white, with extremely oversize icons.

The cart claimed my total owed was $0 and then the next step in checkout wanted $11.77 - not good, people (reported on the cart page).

And I consider the font to be insultingly large throughout the checkout process.

the new daz3d.com has tons of problems.

    1 Cart does not work
2 Cannot find a lot of things: My Account (therefore cannot find Stuff I purchased, Wishlist etc. on the main page.

But once I'm in the Forum I can see it.

I go back to the prior pages, and once again My Cart, My Wishlist, My Account Log Out is missing !

Plus the page is UGLY as hell, with horrible fonts that look terrible.

I go back to the Forum pages, and the fonts and appearance is once again FINE.

I'm using Firefox 33.02 in case that is of help.

Finally FASTGRAB cannot be found in the usual place nor do I see it anywhere else obvious.

What gives? Beta testing does not seem to have been all that useful judging by the released version.

I don't know how much clearer I need to be Jon. Your site is not producing a good cookie or link or something. I click on the saved and updated link to the new store, instead of the browser opening up a new tab with the store it's giving me a referral link in a new tab that I then have to click to finally go to the store page. This is happening with the forums too. So not sure what more I can say about it.

I'm running the newest version of Firefox.

    Thanks

I already miss the handy Shop pop-up menu, I find myself putting my mouse over the Shop link and feeling sad when it doesn't appear.

But I do really like the filters, like no showing items you already own and *especially* the Price low-high filter. And it's cool how the filters can be applied to each page you bring up.

I suddenly realized that an alphabetic "By Name" filter would be *really* useful for things like the Wishlist though.

...I usually access the forums though an email link then keep the "Forum Home" page open in a separate tab. Rarely have I ever accessed it through the store or home page.

On another note the "Thumbs up" button is missing in the galleries.

The links are pretty much the same, as is the cookies. We aren't doing much different in that regards and aren't pushing people through a referral system of any kind. All cookies and links are valid to web standards, and I can, in plain old FireFox bookmark a page and go back to it just fine.

That referral link you pasted above looks like it is being generated from some place or some add-on. It definitely isn't generated from the store at all.

I have a feeling that @RAMWolff has malware which is directing him through their site first. Not sure what kind, but that's DEFINITELY the behavior of malware.

...funny, I'm four updates behind the current FF offering by Mozilla (as I'm tired of not having half my add ons, plugins, and toolbars work every time a new version is rolled out) and I can access the site just fine.

I also do not see Safari mentioned as one of the alternatives in that sceenshot.

Firefox works fine. Safari tends to be tied to the version of OS X that you have installed (so you can't updated just your browser easily) and almost no one uses it in Windows.

Super old versions of FF that no one should be running anymore might have problems as super old versions of Safari. IE 8 is really the main one we don't support.

What I don't understand is why isn't the beta site an optional choice for those who want to check it out and the original site still live for those who don't?

What I don't understand is why isn't the beta site an optional choice for those who want to check it out and the original site still live for those who don't?It was like that (an option) for a reasonable while.

The core answer, though, is that the 'hide items I own' is intimately tied to the new site implementation. It's tightly tied to the loading of slabs of product information, the filtering, all of it.

The core of it is that implementing the 'hide' functionality was pretty much only possible with the deployment of the whole stack of code that went along with it. The beta was available for a while, and got a LOT of great feedback, and a lot of work to improve it. Now it's time to ship it. DAZ isn't Google. They can't be in Beta forever. ;)

The beta has been running for the past month, with feedback from PC members, and it has actually evolved quite a bit during those few weeks.
I'm still not a huge fan of some of the "improvements" which made it into the final version, but well the beta is over and it's live now.

It has been in beta for over a month, and as a PC member you had the chance to try it out.

Yeah - I've been fighting this for several weeks now, as I find it completely obscure; looks like I'm not the only person who has never seen that icon before. (They keep trying to tell me it is a 'standard' and widely used and I keep saying I've not seen it in 10 years of web browsing).

The only issue I have with the new site (so far) is that on the PC Sale page I can see the discount on new items (white on red), I can see the full price (grey crossed out), but I can't see the actual price of the item because it's in black on the dark purple background. It's the same in Chrome and FF, didn't try anything else.

It will take some getting used to, but I like it so far. I really appreciate the ability to hide the products I already own, and that even if that isn't checked, there's a little icon telling me that I already own the product I'm seeing. Thank you for that! :-)

Yes, if you use the light theme it does that, could you click the "Problem?" link and report it?

I've seen that when I'm not logged in, of course. Check the little man icon in the upper right. It should be blue and have a checkmark next to it if you're logged in. Does it show correctly if you do a hard refresh?
