Looking at it, it is something specific to your cart. I recreated your cart in my own with all the items and get the payment options, so it isn't the item combination. I'm, right now, cloning your account data to a private dev instance where I can login as you and see why it doesn't want to treat it as a valid cart. Hopefully this will shed light on what the problem is soon, and it probably is some obscure database entry about your cart that is just flagged wrong from the old store that is pissing it off.

    Thankies much, Jon :-)

I'm not sure if my browser would have anything to do with it since it worked really well in the old site. But just in case: I use Maxthon 3, it may be obscure and weird but I like its Download Manager feature since when invoked opens a window where I can access everything that had been downloaded and I can choose to open the file directly or go to the folder where the file is :P

Pictures and content lag for me loading images with a spinning wheel. This never happened with the old site. Also having trouble with going back to where I was, when looking at items in on the pages after adding stuff to my cart.

What I don't understand is why isn't the beta site an optional choice for those who want to check it out and the original site still live for those who don't?

It has been in beta for over a month, and as a PC member you had the chance to try it out.

In my case, there was a conflict of interest. (My employer would get upset if I did for someone else for free what I do for them for a salary.) This is the first I've seen the new store.

Not really feeling the love for it in all honestly, I like the Hide Owned Items option mind but I'm really not loving the flat icons look, isn't helped by the fact that the text is stretched. I'll get used to it but the icons and stretched text? probably won't be able to shake the Windows 8 feel (not a fan of that to say the least).
Nor am I ... nor are many people, if sales of Windows 8 compared to Windows 7 in the same timeframe are anything to go by. Can we have the menus back, please?

What happened to the wishlist? I had items nicely grouped by the figure they apply to, with two-line comments saying who made something (for the sales that don't get reflected on the wishlist) on the first line and the prerequisites (scene or clothing items I'd need for textures, for example) on the next line - but that's been "streamlined" into a mess now.

I do like the "Hide Items I Own" option.

Where are the texture templates? "Beach Volleyball Set", for one example, used to have them on the store page, but I'm not seeing them there now (or in my Product Library).

EDIT: What the heck? No option to sort search results by name????? This is a must-have - how did its absence slip by all the beta testers?

Me too. I'm just beginning to realise how useful those drop-down menus were.

Me three. I had a pretty good image in my mind of where something was in my wishlist. Now it's all backwards.

Even worse, the default is changed from "by order of putting into wishlist" to "by reverse order of going live in the store". I put something into my wishlist tonight and it went in three-quarters of the way down my list. Incredibly very not a good idea — the old sorting order isn't even an option any more. >:(

I purchased about 4 bucks worth of stuff right before realizing how horrible the new layout is. Two of the items were not removed from my wishlist. Later, when I looked at my wishlist again, they were still there and I had to remove them again. When I refreshed, they were gone, but I'm sure the next time I look at it they will be back. Couldsn't you guys work the rest if the bugs out before implementing this train wreck? I get really tired of the 3D sites doing this.

As does LastPass in Firefox (and presumably other browsers, but I haven't tried it personally).

Note that the least little scroll, accidental or not, is enough to nail the breadcrumb bar right below the menu bar to the top of the browser window, hiding the menu. This needs a bit more tweaking.

I know everyone at DAZ must be asleep by now.. but I'm wondering if the 70percent off sale section is gone??? I used to look forward to seeing what was on sale daily... I guess I'm out of luck now :(
also.. please note.. the scrolling bar at the top of EVERY page is giving me a headache. I have problems with flashing stuff on the screen.. I know other people do too.. it's a medical condition and even gives some people seizures (not me.. but i do try to turn off blinking things on web pages, as i DO get headaches from them)

...I wonder if Noscript can be used to turn that off, I find it sort of bothersome myself as well as the scrolling bar underneath it.

Really do not like the search when you enter a category like "Teen" as it just brings up a bunch of horizontal scroll bars instead of a static page with the relevant products. Compared to this the previous store search was so much better.

I agree Kyoto... all the scrolling up and down makes me dizzy... Not sure DAZ thought about people having trouble with flashing things. I for one won't be shopping much if I have a headache.. lol... oh well maybe that's a good thing... for my purse... lol ;)

Some search categories seem to do that, instead of giving results with all the proper "show all" options and static lists. Definitely something for the "fix this yesterday" list.

A lot of us in the PC Members Only thread have been asking for those horizontal scrollers to be put on the "kill it with fire!!!" list, but unfortunately it looks like they're here to stay.

...retroactively add this PC member's name to that list.

Just a nice simple static page display with few to no moving parts. Workstations, desktops, and notebooks are not smatphones. With them you can actually view more items on the screen at once.

The "my Account" page is still blindingly blue on white, with extremely oversize icons.

The cart claimed my total owed was $0 and then the next step in checkout wanted $11.77 - not good, people (reported on the cart page).

And I consider the font to be insultingly large throughout the checkout process.

    +1

Interesting side effect of the change: Advanced Search is now inaccessible in the forums. There's a broken icon in the "Search the forum" box where the magnifying glass used to be, and clicking on the (forever completely unintuitive) arrow next to the search box to activate the advanced options does nothing at all now. Tried in a couple different browsers, same result in both.

Also unable to add anything to my wishlist. Sheesh, DAZ sure did drop the ball on this. It's 2/3rds of the way to Renderosity's horrendous redesign last summer.

    Bug report:

Weekly Freebies shows no entries if you already have all items on your account.. with no "HIDE ITEMS I OWN" checkbox in the market area... you must go back to the market pages to uncheck.

Can you possibly add that checkbox to this page as well?

How does it fail for you?

Sheesh, DAZ sure did drop the ball on this. It's 2/3rds of the way to Renderosity's horrendous redesign last summer.

Actually, Renderosity had a lot of really good reasons to do their redesign, not the least of which was the absolute brokenness of their prior system. DAZ is adding features that nobody else has, that I know of, and did an extended beta period in the open with PC members, which as far as I know 'rosity didn't. They're doing a lot of things right, but folks don't like change, and it may take a while for it to be clear what is really broken, and what's just different, just like it did at 'rosity.

For what it's worth, 'rosity fixed every bug I filed (n.b. I only filed actual bugs, not UI disagreements), and DAZ has fixed most of the serious problems reported in the beta, with the sole exception of the search in some cases. Bugs are things like the tweak that broke the forum advanced search, problems with galleries where the gallery shared some code with the live site, etc., etc... These things are going to have a high priority to fix, over changes in the UI that make people uncomfortable because they're new. Those, DAZ has to watch the statistics on, and see how folks engage with them.

I think that around 2-3 weeks from now, when muscle memory has been retrained, the idea of going back to the previous incarnation will be anathema. Nobody will want to give up identifying owned required items, the large thumbnails, the 'hide what I own' feature, the filters, and more, all of which are deeply tied to the reimplementation of the UI.

But if there's a problem with wishlisting, definitely describe it in as much detail as you can.

Well, as I expected - I've refreshed/reloaded the new releases page 3 times - 30+ minutes load time on my slow connection - and I still have 3 items in the top two rows that just show non-clickable placeholders. No idea what the items are. And, at this point, I don't care - I'm off to bed. Maybe tomorrow I'll be able to find out what got released tonight.

This site still seems very beta to me, and I'm actually shocked it has been pushed live in it's current state...

There definitely some great new features, like Hide Items I Own, Accounts > SWITCH THEME (to dark theme, yay!), and asynchronous loading of products based on scroll location... but the redesign still needs some serious polish — it's UI/UX, Information Hierarchy, Typography... it's currently lacking many logical consistencies in its design language.

The redesign clearly still needs a lot of work to normalize the typography. There are far too many font sizes, typefaces and styles. The information hierarchy is lost in a sea of inconsistent capitalization, margins, word spacing, and font sizing.

In the Shopping Cart, the word Shopping Cart is comically larger than the DAZ3D logo using a condensed typeface for no good reason. There are also inconsistencies with button labels that are peers such as the font size of Move to Wishlist which is slightly larger than Remove Item, and the button states are elaborately styled in an inconsistent manner.
Button states are confusing across the board, due to inconsistencies... some invert, some get lighter, some darker, some change to blue with a white outline...

I wish there was a way to use the old site; such as legacy.daz3d.com, in the same way we could switch to see beta.daz3d.com.

I'd just like to pipe up here and say for the folks who didn't see what transpired over in the member's forum, kudos to Jon and the other admins who worked tirelessly to try and get our input formulated into the design. We asked for a way to put page assistance at the bottom of the page, they tweaked the design a few times, they changed the wishlist and put the print closer together, etc. They made a lot of changes based on input.

BUT- We did not manage to get rid of the What's Hot, the large scrolling banner (wanted it smaller, overwhelmingly), etc- so please don't think the beta testers agreed with all of this new design! There's been a few comments already about the "beta testers" and we did not get everything we wanted. DAZ has their own reasons for keeping the What's Hot (primarily for new users) and the other design aspects. I, (and other folks) wanted the wishlist option in the gallery section, instead of having to go to the product page. That's a pain. We didn't get it.

One thing I want to point out that Cypherfox and I noted this evening- on the PC sale page, once you buy an item, it disappears. There is no "hide what I own" option. This can be really bad if you want to buy a texture set and are curious as to whether you own the outfit. I would really like to see sales pages follow the same format as the other "hide what I own" pages.

For folks asking about Fast Grab and freebies, for now they are in the scrolling banner so you can easily find them.

There is one (it's one of the few things I really like in the new site): click on the "account" icon (top-right corner of the screen, where you log-in) and use "switch theme" to go from light to dark theme.

I miss the drop-downs too, and most of all the one for the forums :(

And on the category pages you can use "show less" to hide them (well, the stupid "what's hot" section stays there).

I still don't like them, but it's better than it used to be... :/
