Exactumondo. Another lame feature about iray tonemapper. It restarts the render every time one makes a setting. As Mentioned with all the features in PS one can do as good as a job using the filters & features.
I've never had a render restart on me when playing with the tonemapping or bloom filter settings.
Intreresting it happens to me everytime. This was clear then went like this after tonemapping adjust. But I have that crazy speed now,,,
I do like the "polish" I get on the renders if I do need to let them run longer I dont have to use some post cheats I tend to do at times..
That same renders after 8 minutes
Hmm, i will check those tone mapping settings in my next potrait..
I come from a PS bakcground prior to rendering so settings like exposure photo filters curve vibrance can do a lot.
The fact that I can shave off a lot of time off full indoor renders is a big win.
Ohh, what about outside scenes?
Not part of my current chapter Im curious as well..On the 1080ti they were for the most part much faster
This was created with a pic in the enviro plane.
Yeah, me too. Whenever I make any changes at all, including tone mapping or bloom, it starts the whole render over for me.
Not just me perhaps its system related? Just like some folks have renders drop to CPU no matter what..Like I said I can manage without using the tone mapper just fine..
Less then 2 minutes. the BG is imported pic. Using V3Digitimes great skin shader
Character Base used: https://www.daz3d.com/elsie-for-genesis-8-female plus other head/body shaping morphs.
Character Skin: https://www.daz3d.com/vica-hd-for-genesis-8-female
I really liked how the skin turned out in the render since my goal was to get it as light as possible(think sun-hating Goth white) with the selected character skin. I ended up using both the Diffuse Overlay layer & the Top Coat layer(in weighted mode) in order to lighten the skin. One of the potential drawbacks I've found from this approach is that it can obliterate surface detail when trying to do it using those particular layers without any kind of weighted maps. Vica's skin has noticeable stretch marks in the hip areas, which ended up being washed out a little. All in all, I think its probably one of the best pale-skin characters I've done without completely messing up the skin.
as of 5/20, iray and mixed medium
A nice render! I will go through your galleries once i figure out an issue with dForce simulation.
A nice render! I will go through your galleries once i figure out an issue with dForce simulation. BTW what is mixed medium?
Mixed medium is exactly what it sounds like: combining more than one medium in a single piece of art. Technically, saying “Iray and mixed medium” is redundant, because the Iray render is one medium included along with the other(s).

Thank you
Very interesting. Got a tutorial in you?

Mustang Sally. Think ya better slow your mustang down.
4K Scene, 9 figures, all clothed, two vehicles, and some props... My machine didn't explode...
Since the file didn't display previously, here is my render.
what! A modern girl with an ancient dragon? Nice Concept! The girl looks realistic, but somehow the dragon doesnt :( Sorry.
Nice work
Super render for your machine. You sad that it surived?
The best part of this render is; NO GRAINS!!!!!
Who knows...one day perhaps someone will create a 'great' dragon on Daz as both Daz Dragon and this other Dragon looks like dragons to some degree but lack the realness in terms of eyes and expressions-teeth etc. That makes them what they are. It comes down to modelling these dragons. I had to replace the eye completely as the original just didn't fit. Also, in darkness, the dragon looked 'toothless' and had to do a lot of post-work processing just to bring out the dragon's body and teeth. One day, if I can figure out how to rig a dragon, I will create one. Dragons deserve to look majestic and amazing. :)
Thanks, I tried. :) It was just a profile picture though for another site and hopefully I will do better in future.
I appreciate your hard work :) And All the best for the Future Dragon!
Thanks, and just for reference, see the normal render. :) You will see what I meant by toothless. :) Anyway, off now. Good luck.
