A couple recent renders... one with almost no post-work, and another with the overall look changed a fair amount with post-work:

Character Base used: https://www.daz3d.com/elsie-for-genesis-8-female plus other head/body shaping morphs.

    Character Skin: https://www.daz3d.com/vica-hd-for-genesis-8-female

I really liked how the skin turned out in the render since my goal was to get it as light as possible(think sun-hating Goth white) with the selected character skin. I ended up using both the Diffuse Overlay layer & the Top Coat layer(in weighted mode) in order to lighten the skin. One of the potential drawbacks I've found from this approach is that it can obliterate surface detail when trying to do it using those particular layers without any kind of weighted maps. Vica's skin has noticeable stretch marks in the hip areas, which ended up being washed out a little. All in all, I think its probably one of the best pale-skin characters I've done without completely messing up the skin.

Very interesting.  Got a tutorial in you?

What kind of a tutorial? Its really not a one-setting-fits-all kind of thing and when I used the exact skin & settings on a different character with slightly different lighting orientation & camera angle, I ended up having to adjust the translucency color, top coat color, and diffuse overlay color because I was getting too much of a pinkish tone to it in certain areas that just didn't look right. Here is the same skin with the new color adjustments except I increased the glossy reflectivity & lowered the roughness. If you look at the toes on the character's right leg, that's the pinkish color I was getting on the legs surface and then it would go to the expected color in the bend creases where there was less light hitting, but it probably would've been worse without the new adjustments.

Then you also have to be really picky about which character skin you use. When there's too much of a color or dark/light difference in the skin texture, it doesn't work so good and just becomes an exercise in frustration when trying to get all of the color settings to come together to yield the skin look you're after. Isla for G8F would be an example of character skin that I wouldn't try this on simply due to there being too much of a difference between the leg texture & the rest of the skin textures. However, characters such as Lustra for G8F & Hinako for Mei Lin 8 I would probably try to use.

"Bring me that Underbelly. I might be older but still have a few fights in me."
Doing a character that would challenge the new Underbelly character, think of it as his arch-enemy of some sort. Once I get Underbelly, I might have them face each other. :)

Thanks, the speciality thing is this image doesnt use any volumetric shaders. These are plain simple renders using Canvases.

She is not the fictional Wonder Woman of the Americas. She is the Real Valiant Warrior Queen of Jhanshi, Raani Lakshmi Bai, also known as Manikarnika. She was one of the leaders of India's First War of Independence during 1857-58 and became a symbol of resistance to the British Empire. During a siege of the fort of Jhansi, she offered stiff resistance to the invading British forces and did not surrender even after her troops were overwhelmed. She fought fiercely while still carrying her baby on her back in a makeshift baby pouch. She thwarted the British swines numerous times. She achieved martyrdom in a later combat after having successfully assaulted Gwalior.

The way it walks looks very good and natural - did you do that yourself?  I've seen aniblocks for this but most have looked a bit uncanny valley.

It's an anim block but I don't know from where. I'll try and find it later as I am rendering some more frames which should take half an hour or so. If you want to have a search it loads as 'd8t fwdhappy' So I take it is Dog 8.

Found it, it comes from this set.

Ha, already have that one, but as usual, drowning in a sea of thousands of other products . :)  Thanks!

BTW, wasn't sure what you meant by "best viewed in HD" but now I realized it was a youtube setting.  Looks great!

OK, never played that, not really into that kind of gaming.  But you make some great animations yourself, I know how hard it can be to make things look reasonably right so I admire your patience.

Too bad the series ended with Mass Effect 3.

(There's something called Andromeda? That's just crazy talk.)

And, yes, the high collared jacket. It IS useful for stuff like kitbashing an outfit like this.

Thanks! It's mainly just a test shot, with the background added afterwards and lighting effects in GIMP. (I still want logical lighting even if the background says something else.)

The whole character has to be kitbashed because there is no single product that does that look, so I run some tests. I find some things I want to change, in any case...

This history, I did not know, but she's a pretty lady and the history is inspiring as well.
