So the Gift Card offer today gives you 10 free items if you buy a card for $300 more, with 22% off. That's all fine and good, except if you banked a bunch of store credit previously when the GC discount was around 40% off...
At an average of $15 per item, that's roughly $150 in freebies, but of course you'd probably buy those items on sale for 50% off or more, so it's more like $75 or less... the stuff I'm looking at I sorta kinda want, but shelling out around $240 for the gift card when I have a bunch of credit still banked... none of the items are 'must haves' for me at this point as I've grabbed most of the things I want already during previous sales, and the stuff I'd be more interested in at the moment isn't part of the 'select items' list.
It's definitely worth a looksee though if your store credit is getting low, but as for me, I'll be pondering that one for the next few hours between now and Daz Midnight...
I still keep hoping for another kiler sale where there's a bunch of items for 25-50 cents or less (see MM 2017). The 99 cent sale was somewhat interesting at least... Most of the stuff on my wishlist is 'cuz I got free textures for that' or 'well if it's on sale for really cheap' kinda stuff, thanks to diligent shopping in previous sales as my budget allowed.
Still leaning more to 'March Mehness' but it hasn't been all bad. Back to pondering that gift card offer...

I was pondering the gift card offer myself.
I am low on credit, so I actually have been waiting for a gift card offer but 300$ is a lot for 22% discount.
The items, you could aproximate at 75$ but since today's sale offers them at 2.50$, today they are actually only worth 25$. Since I am not the biggest fan of G3 items either, it's kind of a toss-up.
Get this now, hoping/fearing there would be good offers in the next few days and I will miss out on them if low on credit or wait for a better suited gift card offer for me? (I would have prefered a 20% no strings attached like before, than I could have gotten 50$ worth of store credit and waited for a better discount of 35% or more.
the GC offer would be great if I had the cash to buy one. I'm nickle and diming this sale as it is.
I'm at the point where I've purchased so much over the years that the $2.50 G3 sale doesn't even tweak me enough...i did look at what on offer, but nothing I need or want really. ?Most of the new stuff coming out isn;t turning me on much either. a few things. the bonus items are overall ho hum. That last deal where they reintroduced all the bonus items, I still had 12 of them that I hadn't bought ... Got 5 of them for a free bundle. that was it. Even the bundles I've gone over them a thousand times and really am not interested in them.
Oh well ... when something comes out i need, I will probably grab it ... like that very cool PC+ outpost hut that came out today.
Yeah I overlooked that '$2.50' nuance from today's sale, thanks for pointing that out, so yeah spending $25 at with say an extra 30% off via store credit that you banked previously versus 'full price' for the gift card... things that continue to make me go hmmm....
I suppose you could think of it as 22% off + another 8.33% off (25/300) if you went with the $300 minimum, so 30% off isn't too shabby if you wanted those 10 items anyways, but since I could grab those same items at say $15 instead with store credit, factoring in the discount I got on the previous gift card sale...
As I said, if your store credit is low, the odds of a steeper discount on gift cards anytime soon is anyone's guess, so I think it's not a bad offer overall. And if you aren't a fan of Genesis 3, there's that to consider as well, but in my case, I prefer Genesis 3 as I have a lot of Genesis 3 stuff, and it plays better with older stuff than Genesis 8 has for me, specifically with shoes... I do use Genesis 8, but I have more Genesis 3 morphs and such, hence my preference.
The Ogre sale also has me interested, but that's another matter. Keeping an eye out for additional flash sales at the moment, in case they might tie in to that sale in some way...

After giving it some more thought and actually selecting 10 items I could use from the pile I decided against it . While the offer is not bad, I feel it's not good enough for me to justify spending 240$. Especially in today's uncertain climate.

Totally, or a few no strings attached stack up/build your own flash sales. I think a good bulk of people are starting to feel a bit of a financial pinch ATM so the more flexible the sales are the more likely it is that people can/will take advantage of them. I know speaking for myself, I'm at the point now where no matter what incentive there is I'd rather not buy anything unless it's from my top five "wants".
I would actually love a stack up with the gift card discount today. I hope if theykept the offer one more day they plan to do something with it as if it didn't convince me yesterday it won't convince me today. And my store credit is low enough that no matter what good offers they throw at me, I won't have enough to buy anything.

Not very impressed with many of the newly mad items which tend to be triggers for other discounts.
Wondering when everyone gets those stimulus cheques, will we have another "Stimulus Sale" like back in 2008? That was actually a one of the best sales I've seen next to the PC Anniversary one as it offered some generous discounts and super specials.
The banner says "Buy any new or still new item" to get $2.50 off any 3 select Genesis 3 items. So I selected the Militia Outpost, which has the "NEW" ribbon across the corner of the lead image, and 3 items from the "Over 900 items" in the "Select Genesis 3 items for $2.50" link.
Go to the cart, they're not $2.50.
Click "Checkout," they're still not $2.50
Go back to the main page, click the banner for March Madness, and the page that comes up tells a different story. THERE, it's "Newly Mad" or "Still Mad" items, not "new or still new."
So which is it, really? What is posted up front, or what's buried beneath the surface?
With the store ready to changeover, I can only suggest a ticket at this point.
Items have the "New" tag for two months after their launch, during which time they themselves lose any launch discount. At that certain point, their newness blocks sale discounts. The only thing that makes any sense is that they meant "Newly Mad", i.e., that day's featured new items. The link sends you to a block of text that makes it clear what is meant. It's "buried" in the same place as the items for selection, so you can't miss it.
Anyone else thinks that today's offer or almost lack off is a signal for some nice discount coupons later today?
...well, they extended PC+ pricing to everyone, are allowing PC members to use the PC coupon three times, and are giving them an extra 10% off both DO and non DO content (the latter with a coupon)..
No access to the cool kids forum with the honorary PC+ membership...
