But Samsil has released at least one product here since his name was taken off of his products.
Leroy from the show Fame...either TV or Broadway. I remember him more from the TV show after Welcome Back Kotter.
I believe Daz has released several Samsil products since he left, as DOs, but any links to SamSil's page go to a 404 error page. That's been true for several months. However, the link is still active on the readme page for those DOs, so maybe Daz is hoping to entice him to return.
No Leroy 8 DIM download for me either.
Toyen did a really good job on the look of Dion, although it's not technically part of the Leroy bundle. I will buy the bundhosen, Dion, and Dion hair and probably the train station too, as they are all pretty good, but next month, as StoneMason & Antfarm already got what I spend this month.
I dunno, I think he's a great character if you want a slightly older African-American guy. He fits in nicely with Tristan in that 'suburban dad'-type of character, and any chance to support more non-white characters is good.
Can't say I'm a huge fan of the contemporary clothing, but the fantasy stuff does give the guys a chance to be a little more adventerous in sartorial choices IMHO. :V
Well the South side of Chicago
Is the baddest part of town
And if you go down there
You better just beware
Of a man named Leroy Brown
Now Leroy more than trouble
You see he stand 'bout six foot four
All the downtown ladies call him "Treetop Lover"
All the men just call him "Sir"
And it's bad, bad Leroy Brown
The baddest man in the whole damned town
Badder than old King Kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog
I always do women so it's fun to play with men once in awhile. (Oh god, out of context, that sounds like a whole other thing lol! ) I mean I usually create ART with female subjects lol!
Artistic render of Terrell, Terry Hair, Dark Lore https://www.daz3d.com/terrell-hd-for-leroy-8, https://www.daz3d.com/terry-hair-for-leroy-8, https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-dark-lore-outfit-for-genesis-8-male-s
If anyone bought the Bundhosen outfit, would you mind posting a render of the shirt? I like the shirt but I wouldn't have a use for the pants. So I'm wondering if the shirt would work with a different (more contemporary) pair of pants.
I'd appreciate that as well. I'm not sure from the promos, but the buttons look like they're on the "wrong" side for a men's shirt. It looks really well-done, but these kinds of details matter to me.
It is a female closure (right over left) on that shirt, according to the promos. I don't own it to check. The waistband on the shirt is unusual, too.
@barbuit Thank you. I'm on a very small mobile device at the moment and wasn't sure. I appreciate it.
I expect to buy both of the Esha/Riversoft Art Mirror products (G3 and G8) and use them to correct mistakes like that. (I'll buy them to mirror hair, but it's nice they can change up the shirts, too.)
The golf outfit style. Armpits, neck collisions XD
For me the pants of the golf outfit are under modeled
and looks like sweats.
That's disappointing. I like the collar of that set.
The product Testing team should be catching this error.
If you try to put dforce on it you might get something else, but atm it doesn't have Dforce nor shape adjusting.
The collar has it's own surface and geometry so problems could be solved.
The shoes of the set are interesting too :), try to look into it. It's not a problem and easy to solve, but why didn't they find it before it hit the market?
What is a bit odd is the skin... the net of veins (?) are a bit to strong and make it hard to use it.
ps: Try that pose on any clothing it would have caused collision.
I don't disagree. But then, there are a lot of things they should catch and don't. I suspect they are overworked. Based on the volume of products being released, I think Daz should hire more people for testing product. Kudos to the PAs who use beta testers and don't rely on Daz to find all the issues.
Non-saran wrap pants in general seem to have this issue...especially those made for men. They just don't seem to fit or move right at all...generally speaking.
Does the shirt have the more traditional white & red gingham pattern too? Not that not would stop me from buying it. I take it a new traditional dirndl is coming too?
Cheking it from the other side the collar is warped but sitting on top of the clothes. Armpit is poke through, but that's because of the pose. ATH playing with the dforce if that would save this pose or not.
Forget the buttons on the neck and you will get a nice T-shirt with dforce. Probably the T-shirt should have been dforced by the start only problem is the buttons, but someone more experienced might be able to keep them too.
I am German too and born at the beginning of the 70s.. I know the serial Fame and loved it. It was a famous serial here as well ;)
The best way to do buttons in dforce is probably rigid follow nodes after detaching them as seperate meshes.
I worked on https://www.daz3d.com/drannor-for-leroy-8 yesterday, played with the facepaints, put him in https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-dark-lore-outfit-for-genesis-8-male-s and https://www.daz3d.com/killmonger-hair-and-beard-for-genesis-3-and-8, then needed a chair to fit the facepaint, outfit and pose, and selected one, and found it belonged to https://www.daz3d.com/rog-medieval-fantasy-bedroom, perfect! But, the first render ended up with his elbow off the arm of the chair after 2 hours. Okay, reposition, had another light to warm it up, and this time, remember to close off those things not in the frame. Still almost 2 hours later, just before I was desparate for bed. Then it was too large to attach. So resized today.
Generally, I render contemporary or Sci-Fi with a 'normal' realistic angle, but playing with the facepaints included with Drannor started me on a voyage of discovery. My thanks to all of the PAs who made the products that gave me the tools to do this. I love Drannor.
