OK, struggling with today's offer of a free Daz selected item. Mine seem to discount by 20%, as per the rest of the offer, rather than be free. So what is supposed to happen?
I've removed today's Platinum club new items in case that was the problem: no.
I removed the free extra HDRi in case that was the problem: no.
I have another new item from the page.
So struggling.
"Welcome to Your FREE HDRI" - it's FREE. We are giving stuff away. Blow the trumpet. Pat us on the back.

That is hardly free, is it? And don't start arguing semantics with me. The front page banner should have said FREE WITH PURCHASE.
A bonus product is not a FREE product by any description.
Oddly, I didn't get ANY email from DAZ yesterday; I normally always get a daily email notice of sales. Perhaps I'm spending too much.....

It doesn't work for me on the two Iray products I see on that page:

That's true, and that's not surprising since it's going to be disappointing to know that others are getting a deal that you aren't. On the other hand, a purple banner offer that the customer doesn't even know they have isn't doing anyone any good, and there's nothing more frustrating than finding out that you DID get a purple banner but didn't see the notification because the offer was hidden behind another purple offer, wreleased much later than the daily promotion it applied to, etc.. And, let's face it, that does happen a lot. Personally, I've lost track of how many times I've qualified for a purple banner but didn't know about it until I saw it mentioned here and then went and looked at my messages, but it's got to be getting close to the triple digits by now. Ultimately, it's the same logic chain that applies to the FLASH sales thread... ie: a customer who doesn't know that they have a PB is less likely to be incentivized to buy > customers buying less is bad for DAZ > forum chatter about PBs makes more customers aware of their PBs > therefore forum chatter about PBs is beneficial to DAZ.
If Daz doesn't want us talking about purple banners then don't give them. I know there is a TOS for certain things but in the US we still have free speech. This isn't Fight Club or some secret society or cult (at least I hope it's not lol), it's a commercial website offering commercial products for sale. Imagine if Amazon said, here's a special discount for you, but don't tell anyone else about it! Or maybe we need to sign NDAs for purple banners? Lol, the whole thing is silly.
We do ask that people don't discuss the banners as it can cause confusion when they are targeted in some way, or vary. However, that is a request to consider the impact on others not a rule - though I have to point out that "free speech" is not applicable here.
I think in this forum (Report sales errors here.) the banners should be discussed as there have been times when something gone wrong with who got it... (Owners of Daz Cat, if you got it in one of the packs you didn't get the purple one and we had to solve it here and the banner changed after it and more people who were originally to intended to get the banner got the mail too.)
That's why Daz started to make it clear why are we getting the banners. (In Sept-Oct. 2019 as I remember)
ps: But some level of error should be kept in mails and not posted on the forums. Posting items being free instead of X% off is mail to moderators.
Me too ... but had to go out so left off shopping until I returned and gone! Only one or one at a time for $5. Caved in today though, bought one with a scenery set and the discount on that paid for the figure :-)

While the concept of whether or not to discuss emails may concern some, I think the main point I had, was trying to make was:
WHERE was the page for the 80% off Genesis items? Clicking on the image should have brought one to that page, not the homepage.
This is the thread for discussing errors in sales. The email was a general mailing AFAIK. Some ISPs hold 'newsletters' to mail them at more convenient to them times. Sometimes I don't get expected emails either. Sometimes I get a whole bunch in one day!
So the day is over, let's give it a rest. {In order to discuss Purple Banners, well first somebody would have to get one, eh. They seem to be rare as hen's teeth.}
FWIW, if I hadn't been told in the forums that there were sometimes purple banners for owning a lot of pro bundles, then I wouldn't have subsequently bought a bunch more of them. So DAZ got money out of purple banner discussion from me, at least.

That shows Lilith 7 discounting to $5. The other item is not part of the offer so it shouldn't have any additional discounts.
...OK, this is interesting I placed Kyla and Pajamas into my cart and it shows a normal price of 17.95$ while the pricing history on the product page indicates she should still be 10.77$ today. I even refreshed the product page as well as my cart yet nothing changes.

I have been on a quest to discover this first rule of purple banner club. Than I discovered the breakfast club AND thought hmmm. This must be a sign. This must be a breakfast club that eats purple food SO I finished ny quest for purple food and plant my flag firmly in the ground and announce to all "I have found the purple banner club and the purple food ingested by us, the purple people eaters. Come one come all and witness my discovery.
