  • Today's PC+ items for a day are yesterday's PC+ items for a day, which makes them PC+ items for TWO days, doesn't it?

I don't think 'PC for a day or maybe two, or maybe more' has the same ring to it :)

I picked that selection clean yesterday, and without two more today, no extra discount on the new Dog Breeds. Maybe there will be a new batch tomorrow?

I thought there's a couple new ones? But definitely possible you already have them.

I was about to post the same thing.  I've said it before, but I've seriously come to believe that either the people who've been writing DAZ's ad copy don't speak English as their native language, or the ad text is actually being generated by some kind of machine that flunked the turing test.  The really irritating part is that you have to buy 2 of the PC+ for a Day items to get the extra discount and I bought all but one of the ones I didn't have yesterday because they were specifically as advertised as being for one day.  Hopefully this was an error and some new PC+ products will appear later in the day, as otherwise, I'm going to have to take up customer service's valuable time with a return on a single $2.20 item.

Probably because it's actually accurate.  If you advertise something as being for one day only, that's what it means.

  • Well to be fair - it's not labelled 'PC for one day only'.  I'm not even sure, but the items might have been featured in the PC for a day promo back in Oct/Nov.

Well, the real problem is that, having been led to believe they were only for a day, I bought all the ones I even remotely cared about yesterday. So today I miss out on the 20% extra discount on the new dog breeds. Is that fair ???

Accurate would be "Make you think you have to get the ones you want today, so later you'll have to buy items you've declined or skip tomorrow's really good deal."

"PC+ Items For a Day"   <= this literally means For One Day Only.

Seriously, the promos are getting more and more misleading/gramattically wrong all the time. Take the "FREE items" on the banner that turn into "Free after you buy this other stuff" when you click on them, which really means they are not actually free, but are BONUS items.

    Please, consider the customers.

No it's called "PC+ for a day", and the last time I spoke English, "a"  was the function word used before singular, not plural, nouns, so regardless of the intent, the actual implication of the wording is one day, singular.  smiley (I frequently negotiate contracts between different languages and little discrepencies like that can bankrupt companies.)  As for some of these items being previously released as PC+ for a day item, it's certainly possible... However, given that I've bought bought almost all of the PC+ for a day items that have been offered in the previous promos (that I didn't already own) and that none of the items that I've passed on during those promotions showed up in the 10 that were actually offered to me yesterday, it would have to be a fairly small sub-set... not that being offered in a previous PC+ for a day sale has any real bearing on this one, anyway.

Unfortunately, if we wanted to accept that translation, that would mean that the REAL underlying meaning would be - DON'T buy all of these items now, because then you won't be covered on the off chance that DAZ's marketing team decides to be lazy and run the exact same promotion tomorrow.  Which, of course, would ultimately lead to reduced sales for DAZ.

I've been operating on just that principle lately - I don't just buy "because, OMG, it's cheap right now," I mostly buy when it's cheap and I actually have a render in mind for it or it's a useful tool like the Mesh grabber, or it completely blows me away in the promos (which is rare)

I didn't realise that buying 2 'PC for one day only' items yesterday would mean that I couldn't get the 20% extra discount for new dog breeds today. This is very unfair. There should be a statement somewhere on the sale page to explain that extra discounts are only available once.

You can still get the PC+ for a Day for $2.20, but what I think he means is that there are none left for him to choose from, so he can't get the extra 20% promotion.

LOL I bought them today and didn't realise..

its OK though just meant I didn't spend more on dogs I didn't need and might have been tempted to had I realised

  • WonderlandWonderland Posts: 7,133

Yeah, I would have waited till today to buy the PC for a day items because I do want the dog breeds today but yesterday didn't even purchase any new items so I could have just waited till today to purchase them. That said, adding two PC for a day items to my cart that I don't even want lowers my cart total, so they are, in effect, free but I'm not going to check out yet in hopes they add some new items later that hopefully I actually want...

if they add two items I want I certainly would buy 2 more and at least one dog breed but I only had 15 left to choose from

I am actually contemplating just buy a breed as got a cannot discus purple banner but still deciding which one 3 better but cannot afford

And the beleif that it was only going to be available yesterday was even reinforced when DAZ sent out a second email later in the day stating "Don't Miss Out"!  And now we are penalized for beleiving we only had one day. Is that any way to treat your customers?

I'm sure there are ways to phrase it that are both succinct and more accurate - "Temporary PC+" would be a good start.

As it is, I'm now in the same situation as a lot of others - that the wording lead me to fill up my cart yesterday, leaving nothing to trigger today's discount.

a doggy item is missing from the doggy sale crying

Same here with the temporary PC items. Bought all I really wanted yesterday. Will not buy those I don't want just for the dogs. Instead, I buy just one dog, (cheaper than buying one with two items I don't want) leave the rest for another sale (or never). Besides, I already own the products which one can get free, but that's negliglible.

Sometimes I get the impression there is somebody in sales management who does some kind of social experiment. How much and how long can we trick or annoy our customers before they refuse buying?

I thought since thery were "PC for a Day", a new day would bring new ones.  Ah, well... sad

yesterday was "a" day, and today is "a" day, as will tomorrow. Every day is an opporuntiy for DAZ sales to mess us up.

I don't think anyone is ungrateful and saying the dog breeds too dear or anything

just a but odd people who straight away snatched up the PC for a day items got penalised for being too keen

It feels like the core characters for 5$ offer. If you have the items already you loose.

I think the Daz people should think of alternate offers for those people but I guess they either don't have the time or don't care. I hadn't depleted the 2.20 items yesterday but had gottent the 2 I wanted.

Today I had to get 2 I was kind of meh about to activate the dog offer.

Actually, this is becoming closer to typical rather than odd.

The Shadow Qabbalah Bundle is no longer discounting correctly when combined with three Daz breeds and two PC+ For A Day items, along with the purple banner.  It jumped up about nine bucks from where it had originally been when I put all of this into my cart about 1 am Daz time.   It looks like it is at full price on the site.  Thanks.

I'm seeing the same. The bundle no longer has the 30% new release discount.
