I am really starting to feel picked on now. The 2.99 with a new release hasn't worked any time from the 20th for me. 5 out of 9 new releases don't show a product page and now the flash sale won't work.
Sadly, I think this is the most active thread in the forum.
.
Loyalty discount and $2.99 items still not working. It's 12:40 pm Daz time....
How come it takes more time solving a problem Monday than Sunday?
@Haruchai, It worked for me. I already checked out with the Mirrored Rooms in the cart.
I'm sure it would cost more, but I wish Daz would switch from CloudFail, er, CloudFlare, to AWS…
it appears to be working for me now as well.
Loyalty discount now works and $2.99 sale works only if you REMOVE any new items from the cart (and have less than 5.) Any new item in the cart makes it jump up to $9.95...
Quite a few items have disappeared from the Recent Top Sellers and HIstorical Top Sellers sales since I added items to my cart this morning. It looks like the items that are now gone still have the base discount applied, but the addtional discount for having a new release in cart and the loyalty discount still do not apply to the items.
Example: I had N.G.S Anagenessis 2 - Revolution in my cart. It was part of the Historical Top Sellers. It's a base of 50% off that bumps up to 60% off with a new release item in the cart and then the Loyalty Discount is applied too. When you go to the item page (link) it still shows 50% off even thouigh I don't think Dimension-Z is currently a part of the Featured Artist sale and it's no longer listed in the Historical Top Sellers page. I have it in my cart still but it's still only 50% off even though I have a new release in my cart (both debut new release and still new release).
Now loyalty discount is applied
Everything is now working correctly. Thank you very much!
amen. cloudflare is the pits.
$2.99 sale with new release still not working for me.
No it's not. $2.99 items still revert to $9.95 if you have any new items in the cart
When logged in, I can get up to 5 items at $2.99. Adding a new item makes them all $9.95, and they stay that way when adding more $2.99 items, but I get my Loyalty discount on the new item.
When logged out, I can add 5 items at $2.99. Adding a new item, even with 5 or less, gets a 20% discount on all items, as advertised. Adding more than 5 $2.99 items retains the 20% discount. There has to be a clue in that it works properly if you are logged out.
This is the same as yesterday. Tried three different browsers, one of which has never been here, so no historical data or cookies, or whatever, that is left behind when visiting.
Flashsale not working correct. Just added desperado HD and no 70% discount... story goes on..
When I ADD a new release the $2.99 items go UP to $9.95 so definitely a glitch
thought this had been answered - it's per day, or should be.
Same here and I haven't purchased any of the $2.99 items recently
Flash sale is not working for me either, the items are all regular price.
A new release in the cart should make the $2.99 items go down, not up to $9.95. Four more hours in the Daz day...
Richard did address this. So did Cris. The problem is in the CloudFlare cache. Things are working correctly for some, not at all for others, and variations in between for the rest of us. The actual site is working correctly on the originating server, but somehow not all of the CloudFlare mirror sites have updated correctly. It's very difficult to troubleshoot and fix a problem one cannot replicate.
If you have the resources, you can purchase the items at the price in the cart and file a trouble ticket. Daz Customer Service will refund the difference, (by default to your Store Credit, so specify if you need it to go back to the funding source.) Of course, that's not a viable solution for everyone. For one thing, CS is swamped this time of year and refunds could take several days to get processed.
As Richard said before, (I believe it was Richard,) as frustrating as all this is to us, it is many times more frustrating to Daz. They know they are losing sales and there isn't a darn thing they can do about it. Imagine being in those shoes for a minute or two. They're not only losing sales, but watching as their customer base grows weary with all the site problems.
Some things they can fix, like the loyalty discount not applying to the Featured Artists Catalogs earlier. And there are times when the snafu is on Daz. But most recently, things working sporadically in different regions, that's all on CloudFlare. imo, of course.
It says "Maximimum of 6 items in cart for discount to apply". I got the 70% discount with just 1 item in my cart.
Just one in cart and no discount for me.
Yes I caught that part. I have 5 items in my cart and it is not working.
The Flash sale is working for me with up to siz items in cart, fails (as it should) if I add a seventh.
Then maybe they should close the site until they figure out how to fix things, They have also removed the ability to upload screenshots from iOS which is a huge pain because I do all my shopping on an iPad or iPhone. And the customers ARE growing weary, We never get an apology. A "Sorry for all the recent site troubles! We will make it up to you by offering a store credit of $..." They just ignore us and make the mods work extra hard trying to appease us while those in charge just sit back and rarely acknowledge us and never offer us even an apology or acknowledgement that they are screwing up.
As a retired IT professional I can genuinely sympathize with the position that DAZ is in. That said, it doesn't make any difference from the customer point of view. To the customer, the buck stops at DAZ. Finger pointing at CloudFlare doesn't help the end result being that the "sale" isn't really a sale.
Yes there is something they can do - stop all the complicated sales and make things a lot more straight forward; problems could then be addressed a lot quicker, it would be easier to track down the root of the problem, have someone on standby/call 24 hrs a day so things can be looked at straight away.
