Like the hair but wish the flowers could be removed.

BTW, I'm Spanish (father) and Irish/Welsh (mother).... I looked very Spanish when I was a child, and very Irish when I became an older adult.... just adds spice to my long story.

All you have to do is turn surface opacity off on them in the surfaces tab, if they're like any of the other 5000000000000 hair styles with hair decorations in the store.

Personally I don’t think Daz should label characters as a certain ethnicity or give banner rewards for buying characters of a certain ethnicity like they did with the “Thank you for buying Eastern characters.”

But I’m still hoping to see more renders here of the bundle to decide if I’ll pull the trigger...

Well I'm glad Daz gave a banner reward for Gabriela because I picked up the Mousso/Linday bundle with it

If I were shown these images, which were done by the divine Divamakeup "out the box," and asked to guess ethnic derivation, my first guess would be Mexican/South American, though she could pass for others.

I'm looking forward to getting her.

I continue to enjoy working with Gabriela. A few days ago, I mixed some of EmmaAndJordi's Ethnic Beauties just a little bit. This render doesn't show her off fully, but I think it shows her as a woman, with something for the viewer to discover.

One more, out of the bundle. This is DemonicaEvilius and Jessaii - Isabelle. I usually like their work - nice skin that needs minimal work on my part to look good, and attractive morphs to go with that. Renders quickly, also. It's uncomplicated in a good way. This skin is straight out of the box, under the lighting that loads when I load up a new scene. I appreciate that kind of fidelity as a customer.

I did throw in a couple morphing changes here - a little "youth" out of Zev0's Growing Up, shrinking the neck, emphasizing the head size a little more. Otherwise, this lady is immediately recognizable from the character she came out of.

The Flamenco dress? It's not the Daz store version. I saw this one at Rendo and I liked it better. dForce for G3F and G8F, some undress morphs (giggity), and handles on the sides of the dress (optional, depending on what you load in).
Kitbashed a bit with the jewelry. Earings, left and right bracelets - all from 3 different sets.

I used Nesena Hair out of the Kala 8 bundle because I liked it more than the hair in Gabriela's package.

Otherwise, I just wanted to show off the dress. I don't mind a little genre look if the dress is sexy and has nice morphs behind it. This is most definitely a hot setup.

EDIT: Forum doesn't like my images. I had to upload to my gallery instead.

Got the image up... the background is just a lame 2D image that I slapped on there. I just wanted to render the figure and the dress, and I wasn't looking for composition or anything this time.

  • I have a new purple banner... 20% off, as long as Gabriela 8 pro bundle is in my cart.  And, of course, can't use it to buy something I already own... Like, the Gabriela 8 pro bundle, for instance. :)

Everybody makes little mistakes sometimes... I like it when they're good for a chuckle. :)

I wish you could pass it to me!  Any guess when the last day of the Gabriela promotion will be?  I will have the funds for her on Tuesday....

    Don't look at me.

Gabbie didn't do a thing for me, but I liked all four outfits and both hairs. I finally figured out a combination of gabrielle, accessories that triggered discounts, the 20%, and three different sales (Buy to earn store credit, Bohemian Chic, and Medievel meets Sci-Fi) to get some wild discounts.

    • Like HM had all his stuff in the M&SF sale at 58% of
    • Then there's the "Buy any New Release to get 50% OFF" part of the sale cutting another 17% (trust me. I math better than you)
    • And the "Buy 3 or more ‘Medieval Meets Sci-Fi’ New Releases above to get an EXTRA 30% OFF"
    • And the 20% off your cart Gabbie special and I just got everything he had (except 1 pair of boots) for 80% off.

There's always somebody asking: why don't the discountes just add up? Why do we have to do that subtract the discounts from 100%, multiply all the differences by each other, and subract the product from 100% again to see how sales combine. why do we have to invert, multiply, invert again?

That would have put my combination above at 158% off, instead of 80 off. Yeah, if DAZ would pay me 58% to buy stuff, I'd have thrown a few more hundred dollars worth of merchandise.

Oh, and a few items that were on both the "select DAZ originals" from one sale and the "get 40% off these vendors, 50% if you buy something" from another sale, and triggering both sales put things at (I believe) 84% off.

    Can  I hire you?  LOL

No earlier than Wednesday, I'd imagine.

A new figure is unlikely on a Tuesday.

I love Gabi, but I really wish there were a good base model that showed the Aztec features of many Mexican People. They are lovely and unique.

I would like indigenous models at some point, yeah.

Like with so many other things, life is so subjective.  "Most famous"...maybe not.  Check this out.

Come to think of it, this one would make a pretty good on-topic render.  She's 'Kinda Not So Bad' either.wink

Well, flamenco is quite extensive and complex. But if you ask in Spain about famous flamenco artists, people are very likely to think of artists like these:

    or
    https://youtu.be/mYYDdn1rRKs

And if you want to get out of the conventional and continue being flamenco then you have things like this (with surprise):

For those that received the purple banner, but haven't pulled the trigger on the pro bundle yet, today might be an interesting day to do so... dressing to the nines!

A couple of "out of the box" renders of Gabriela 8, with different lighting and hair.

I messed up on the expression with the sitting render. I was aiming for "sultry" but with the lighting and angle it ended up looking a bit like RBF. lol

RBF looks good on her. Thank you for giving us a render where we can see what she actually looks like and for letting us see that pretty brown skin that Daz hid in the promos, or is that Altern8 magic? The promo renders (other than Grim-Red's) made me think of the line from "Come Together:" "

The above renders I posted are her "out of the box", so no Altern8. The skin tone greatly depends on the lighting, certain lighting will make her look paler and others will make her look darker - I guess that's the same for most/all figures. :) She is quite a bit darker than Victoria, and a lot more petite as well. Here's an "out of the box" render of Gabriela 8 and Victoria 8:

Victoria's so tall she's trying to use Gabriela as an armrest, but Gabriela is having none of it. lol

Would have loved to see this in the official Daz promo.  Funny & Cute and clearly shows the contrast.  This is kind of image that makes me see the potential and excited to buy a product.  Nice one Diva. yes

That's how I feel about a lot of promo images: they're so focused on sheer aesthetics that they don't actually tell you very much about the actual product.

I just bought cartoonized with the one coupon Daz gave us the other day and wanted to see how it worked so I gave it a whirl on Gabriela. I think she looks great cartoonized!

I like the mixes with other characters, especially Monique but don’t like the character as is. I like most of the bundle including the PA characters but I don’t like Gabriela herself... She doesn’t look Latina, just some random woman that could be a lawyer or something.

Being from south Florida with a mix of different countries from Latin America.. there is NO latina look... You're going to get latina based on LANGUAGE or COUNTRY not a look. In fact you're going to offend someone going down this road of thought.

Just saying, don't be that person.

I live in LA, lots of Latinos here too. What I meant was her look doesn’t scream Latina, she could be Latina or almost any ethnicity at all really. She could be Italian, French, American, etc... Nothing about her brings to mind a particular ethnicity is what I meant.

Probably because in LA there are a lot of mexicanos and centro americanos with high percentage of indigena. A different thing if you go to Argentina, Chile, Uruguay. Italian and Spaniard features are strong in Argentina.

Mexico-Centro América, Brazil,El Caribe, La Región Andina, and Austral are very different in the composition of african/european/indigenas and mix of these, and all are latin(american)os.

Excited to be able to pick up the pro bundle last night thanks the the pc+ members sale. It was about $32+ a few new items that came out this week, so I think I got a better deal than when she fist released.

Here's a quick out of the box picture.
