mtnmen - I can imagine a certain guy to whom the hand could belong. Not exactly a nice scene but nevertheless superbly done.

A most interesting theme and I’ve really enjoyed everyone’s interpretation.

Here’s my first entree: “Land Ho!”

    Content used:

    HMS Victory by Dreamscape-Creations

A variant of Hero’s Advanced Layered Skies. HDRI a PS blend of the included HDRI and his Real Moon Rendered Volumetric Clouds.

Illuminated by the Bryce sun and IBL.

Rendered at 64 RPP with True Ambience enabled - a little over 4 hours to render.

    Thanks for looking!

mtnmen : Thanks. I like your interpretation of the subject, just let's hope this never ever happens !

StuartB : Well done, great choice of colours.

ed3D : Nice background and great modeling of the stargate.

Dan Whiteside : superb render !

  • @ mtnmen: catastrophic scenario. Dr. Strangelove comes to mind.

    @ StuartB: Daliesque

    @ ed3D: nicely textured stairway

    @ Dan Whiteside: fantastic sky

StuartB - wow, that's sort of a creepy one. Superb idea and excellently done.

ed3D - oh, that's a cool idea to use the stairs. Very cool.

Dan - great scene and very nice colours.

Mtnmen- Nice interpretation of the theme.

StuartB- very nicely done, a bit on the scary side

ed3D - an unusual idea, nice way to use the stairs

    Dan Whiteside - awesome render

  • @ Dan Whiteside: Wonderful! Like a painting.

  • HansmarHansmar Posts: 2,740

    ed3D: Great stargate render!

Dan: Fantastic sky and great light. Only thing I am not so sure of, is the texture of the land. Looks plain grey. Maybe add another texture?

Ed3D...looks like you're heading to a 'Stargate' theme - best.

Mermaid & Horo...cheers heart  heart will have, at some stage, to stop looking at old repeat movies smiley

Jamahoney - thank you Jay. The Monolith looks awesome. Why stop looking at old movies? For the last 4 or 5 years I've been reading books I'd bought in the 70ies and 80ies. It's interesting to compare the remembered impression and the new one after having grown less young.

Henryhor - thank you. Horizon's watching you, cool idea. I had rather in mind that you'll always hit the horizon eventually, no matter how far you go.

    mermaid - thank you.
