I go at opening so I'm in and out very quick
I use a trick my father taught me when dealing with the DMV up here in western NY State. We live in a relatively populated county with a "big"ish city (30,000) and several large(ish) villages and the DMV here is always sort of crowded and there are significant lines. My father taught me to go to the next county east which is a rural county with no real cities and only a few villages and the county seat is in a tiny little town deep in the hills. Going to the DMV there rarely has a line of more than three or four people and the clerks are very friendly and helpful because they have time to actually do their job right.
The DMV in Washington DC though was a nightmare.
I swear the clerks were ex prison matrons! They had the attitude, all they needed were billy clubs, handcuffs and a bull horn.

Ours is always jam packed which is why I go at opening. When I lived in Texas it was even worse. They had lines clear outside with about 50 people inside.
Wheeeeeee, injury and death defied - I had a nice scrubby shower!
For most folks a shower is a pleasant experience. For me, it's a death trap.. slippery tub, no railings on walls, tub mat hard to see.. so it's a real challenge to get a good scrub and not end up calling 911 for broken body parts. I've gotten good at showering blindly.. but damn do I need a back scrubber, my little scrungie mesh scrubber just won't quite reach.
Off to Amazon!

yeah have a pretty full weekend ahead as well installing new hardware as well as clean installs W7 Pro and of all my programmes.
Will keep track of the Wisconsin - Michigan game on the ESPN mobile app while backing stuff up for the teardown and upgrade. Even though Michigan is pretty much out of the picture for the National Playoffs as well as the Big Ten Championship (Wisconsin already punched their ticket to the B1G Championship game with last week's win), they are still a dangerous well balanced team. This could be a close one.

...yeah things like that don't necesarily come to mind in the heat of the situation when you are nearly run down by some impatient lamebrain whoo doesn't care.

If there is a Dollar store near you, try there first. Scrubby on a stick. That's what I use. No problem reaching the center of my back!

Yeah, me too. But there are still times when physical visits are necessary or quicker. Like moving to a new state, turning in license plates, or changing registration to a new(er) car. Last time I went they wanted to see more identificaton so I handed over my tattered, edge-worn, age-darkened Social Security card and was told that it wasn't an SS card.
It seems that for 40 years I'd been carrying around the wrong half of the SS card sent to me when I first started work. I had to go back home to get my passport to prove I was who I said I was. Interestingly enough, I got my passport 30 years ago originally by showing my SS card. 
I now have both a passport AND a proper SS card. And in all this identity confusion I never forgot who I was. 
We can do our registration online but not our license. When I was in Texas we could do it online.
Yeah, I had to go in person because my expiring license was before the RealID requirements. Future renewals can be done online.

Time again for some suggested music. It's been a while but I've worked my way around again to Dvorak's Piano Concerto https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYW6fjvpuNw I've mentioned this piece before but it's worth bringing up again.
Everytime I re-discover this piece I forget how much it enthrals me. The long first movement starts with an enrapturing melody that builds to a fantastic climax through a whole 19 minutes full of action. I especially like the couple of times that it cycles around to the theme at 15:08 but actually the section from 13:50 to the end of the 1st movement at 19:00 is delightful and happy.
The second movement begins at 19:10 and is a 9 minute quiet rest for the pianist and the listener.
The third movement explodes beginning at 28:30 with quick chases up and down the keyboard and builds to the explosive finish. This pianist has added her own last few notes at the end that completely express her joy with performing this marvelous piece. Watch her during the performace and you can see she loves this piece. Plenty of facial emotion and bodily force without getting nauseatingly over expressive and histrionic.
I love this piece. It is full of joy and hope.
