I would love to see more of the best like Jack Tomalin for buildings and Luthbel for clothes do period peices along with a small crew of other top modellers one period at a time. Like they did with Wild West but maybe four or five more pieces from four or five more modellers and put it out in a package deal.

I would have loved to have seen DOA redone along with this set and a Mighty Mustache for G3M and a school marm dress for G3F (We have enough saloon girl outifts) and a horse pulled wagon for a wagon train. Maybe a train too with a depot.

Very nice! But how do you get into a .3ds file? I've never managed (and, no, don't direct me to the 30-day trial version. It won't run on a Mac.). And what file format is .gsm? Can Studio open that? (Maya? ZBrush?)

    Free online converter http://www.greentoken.de/onlineconv/

Thanks. I'll see how that does. It's a better oportunity than I've got now (i.e., none).

ETA: I just used it on the sewing machines and it seems to have worked like champ. The Singer even came in with the materials.

Of course the machines and the covers all come in as one .obj, but the geometry editor should be able to split them up readily enough. And they have matt zones so those can be assigned.

Nothing is rigged, of course. Not sure it would need to be unless you are doing animations, and that would take some twiddling to separate out the parts that need to move.

I tried to feed the converter an .opb file and it wasn't having any. But at least I can now get into the .3ds ones.

Babys are absolutely neglected, either as morphs or with clothing.

I stumbled across this recently, and it's a dandy: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/old-sewing-machine/73027. All I had to do was retexture it for iRay and it was ready for my character. The head, flap, and treadle are all poseable. The only slight weirdness is that the movement handles are positioned 'wey above the machine, and to move it around my set I needed to highlight it in the scene window. Otherwise it's perfect, at least for my needs.

  • 1950's, early sixties stuff : clothes, automobiles, furniture etc. I love that period of the past centery. when men looked like gentlemen and women like ladies.

Fantasy? Sci-Fi? Real world? What genre of content do you want to see a lot more of? What's lacking and what do we have too much of already?

Anime figures, especially some freaking male ones. Star is imperfect, if only because there is no male counterpart.
