in the Victoria 8 Goes Medieval promo that version of her reminds me looks so much like an actress I've seen a real lot of but I just can't think who she is but it is in someone I've seen a lot of somewhere

This one knows she's not one of The Beautiful Young Things and is too busy to care. After dropping the kids off at school, she's back home to take something out of the freezer for supper, put a load of laundry on, clean up around the house and then check to see if there are any bids on her eBay listing (she'll be glad to see the back of that old exercise bike). Then it's off out for the lunchtime shift and her part-time job as a barmaid, where she knows what all the regulars drink and what time to expect a delivery from the brewery. She never gets a minute to herself and has been trying to find time to postwork her own hair since her eldest was a baby, but she's happy with her life.

I'm pretty happy with her too. She falls a long way short of photorealism, but I've seen worse in the store (and bought it, too). It's not that long ago that I'd never have believed that I could have made her, and I'm very grateful for the tools and products that have become available in recent times to allow those of us who want something other than 'supermodel' to create it ourselves - practice may eventually make perfect! I'm especially pleased with G8 and just how much can be done with her in conjunction with existing assets without spending much cash on her at all. Not to worry though, Daz. Time is money, and all this versatility and ease of use can only free up more hours for shopping. *Sigh... :)

She may not be totally photorealisic, as you mentioned,  but certainly a very natural and believable character. Love your description of her and the render.

    Thank you :)

I almost caved and bought V8, but the Pro bundle has shot up in price in my cart from $51-and-something to $107 and is showing in my wishlist at full price, without even as much as the usual introductory discount. According to my calculations, it's still a few hours yet before the offer on my orange banner expires. Bye, bye V8, we were never meant to be. I shall be cheering myself up with some retail therapy - over at Rendo :)

Such a pessimist! wink I'm sure V8 will stroll back into your life at some point in the next two years or so. And when she does, you—and your wallet—will be ready to add her to your runtime.

Apologies - that wasn't pessimism, that was strategy :) Mentioning that I'm abandoning V8 in favour of a Rendo spree and then sneaking up behind her while she wasn't looking soon had her flaunting the same price as before :)

I've told her she'll have to pull her weight and earn her keep, but I'm not sure how much good it's done me. She's supposed to be running round fearlessly defending my hard drive while wearing impractical armour and six inch stilletos in the traditional fashion, but so far all she's done is loaf around on the sofa watching re-runs of 'Friends'. Honestly, you just can't get the staff these days! :)

Hahah I love it! Beautiful render and fun story. Crack that whip, make her earn her keep ...or join her on the couch for reruns of Friends. lol :)

Ha ha ha... (That's me laughing out loud...)

I thought you were serious! My strategy is to wait. I've got so much money invested in G2 and G3, much of which I haven't even used yet, I just can't justify spending new release prices on another generation.

Vicky looks very comfortable on that sofa. Getting her to give up that soft silky robe to put on skimp-wear armor and stilleto boots may be really difficult... (Great render.)
