I just picked up today Bunny Dazed for V4 & Witch Hunter for M4 with it's additional texture set Thaumaturge for $1.50. And, surprisingly, they adapt amazingly well to Gen3. Below I show the outfit's original textures (well, Witch Hunter's extra textures) converted to Iray via uber base. Whatsmore, the original morphs for Bunny Dazed work even after you use wear them all (I've found not all clothings tranfer the morphs when adapted through WTA), so that was a happy finding.
I'd love to see the Wear Them All product line expanded to cover Gen 1 and 2 characters (Victoria 1 and 2, etc.). It's been quite handy for some of the V3, etc. stuff.
Wow, Giselle, that's an amazing render. Looks like it's from a movie! They look great in those outfits!
Maharani for V3
I've been waiting for a long time to catch this incredible outfit on sale. This is Renapd's Maharani for V3 set (Rendo) and it's huge. There are free expansions and bonuses that come with it that include many pieces and textures. Even some Indian backgrounds. Here it is on CynderBlu's gorgeous Imani for G3F (click for much larger pic):
The textures and most of the meshes for the clothing render very well. I used smoothers and Sub D on it. They looked good before hand, and amazing afterward. I stopped this render early, as there are a few issues with it. The neck and head jewels are very flat. I tried adjusting the bump and just about every other trick I know, but there's no way to fix that. They're textures applied to a flat surface. I checked the original pictures and they're flat in there too. So I'll find some other jewerly for the final and fix her hair.
The dancing veil is very cool, but you can't really morph it. It does come with matching poses- for V3. I don't know how to convert those to G3F. I have converters to move poses forward for Generation 4 and up. Is there a converter for Generation 3?
So I tried applying the veil's beautiful texture to an Optitex bedsheet and draping that, but I didn't get the results I wanted. For now, the work around is to pose around the issues so it doesn't look like one. All in all, the colors and set is stunning and converts well to Iray. I'll fix the issues and do a wallpaper soon.
very pretty
Thanks, I'm loving those textures.
Gypsies and Genies for V1, V2 and SP3:
Here's a quick one, just a straight render (a little grainy, gotta go out in a few minutes.) It's Gypsies and Genies for V1, V2 and SP3. (Click and zoom in for much more detail.)
I wasn't sure I could use Wear Them All on it, but since it's got the SP3, I took a chance. It actually fits better if you tell the program it's for V3. Then use smoothing to get it fitting right. I turned up SubD on this, threw some Uber on it and set metallicity to .80 on the gold parts. I'm surprised at how good it looks. It's on sale today for .60, along with many texture sets. This is the default texture, and I'm picking up the others today, will post a render soon. A surprising amount of the old stuff renders well, but you can't always tell from the promos. This outfit has good lines and plenty of material zones, so you could have fun retexturing with DG's Bling It! and some of the other beautiful Iray shaders out there (Fabiana's shader plans would look great.)
I like it. I'm not sure what they make those clothes out of in real life but I think MEC4D's iRay vol 2 and the free default nVidia examples I think have silk presets.
Victoria's Historic Gowns for V1 and V2
Another quickie before I get going, if I ever do. I'm just too excited to be fitting V1 and V2 clothes on a V7! I didn't think that was possible! Woohoo!
Here's the Historic Gowns for V1 and V2. I believe it's one of the oldest sets in the store. Yes, the textures are extremely low res, but you could easily reshade this, which I will later. I loaded this using the V3 template and turned smoothing on. Sub D is on too, but isn't going to help a texture this low res. I'll retexture and play more later. Just wanted to show it since it's on sale for $2 (less if you have a new item in your cart.) I stopped this one at 80% so it's grainy. Not sure why it's dark, DAZ is acting up.
Here are two of the textures from the Historic Map Pak 2. The ideas behind these textures are very nice. They give different looks to the gowns, but they are very old and low res. I'm not sure there's a way to rescue them but could do something similar with retexturing. The lines are classic, and there are enough material zones to work with.
Next up are the V2 and M2 fantasy outfits, which also have many texture packs, all on sale today.
The fit & lines are good but like you say they need retexturing.
Victoria's Changing Fantasy Suit & Olympian Conforming Clothing
Here are two more outfits for V1 and V2 that fit fine on Genesis 3:
There are quite a few textures for them too. V7 has the Boudicea Blue set on. It really doesn't look too bad. These are full body suits and supposedly there's a dial where you can change out the parts on the Fantasy outfit, but I havn't found it yet. There are something like 36 parts. There are two suits- one for clothing, one for accessories. The accessories one has a helmet that does fit, but the shield crumples badly. Not sure that's fixable but you can turn it off by setting cutout opacity to 0. The feet in the clothing suit don't fit, needs tweaking. Overall though, not bad.
Michael's Changing Fantasy Suit & Olympian Conforming Clothing
I've had a lot more luck with the women than the men. Not sure why. I would've expected the men to be easier to fit. Oh well. I can get the main parts of these outfits to fit, but not the arms and feet. The fantasy suit is a mess. I'm not sure it's worth trying to fix. The cuffs are not easily moved over. They're divided in weird places. The Olympian looks pretty good, but the cuffs and sandals don't fit there either. That's not a deal breaker on that one, since it's a simpler outfit. I'll probably use it somewhere, but I'm not even touching the fantasy suit for now. Too many issues, unfortunately, and I never did find those dials. They might get lost in the conversion or only be available in Poser.
Thank you all for this thread. Because the store doesn't do reviews and I've felt burned by a handful of relatively more expensive products I bought, I've stopped buying plugins, scripts, and things whose descriptions seem to indicate they work as if by magic. Wear Them All was on my Wishlist, but I missed a recent sale because I didn't trust it. When the time came to decide whether I'd buy it at any discount, I just nuked it from my list. But now after reading this thread, I've added it back.
The product page for the male version says it comes with a Genesis clone and a Genesis 2 Female clone. That's just a typo, right?
This is why I'd love to see a V1/2, M1/2, etc Wear Them All verson/aoutofit option. I picked up the Olympian outfits also, because quite frankly there isn't anything newer that looks like it (I like this outfit because it isn't trying to show off too much). Anyways, yeah the sandals are all over the place, and there were a couple of areas that I had to adjust for when changing the pose.
And shoes seem to be trouble in general, as you've shown here. Not sure how much work it is to make a Wear Them All that is specifically for older shoes, but I'd buy that. Same for gloves. It gets trickier of course when the shoes are 'welded' to an outfit as opposed to being a separate clothing item, but again if the feet and hands regions could autofit better, yeah I'd like that.
That being said, using V3 or M3 as the current option at least gets the Olympian clothes in the ballpark/to the point that you can adjust to fit at that point.
The other option would be for the various content authors to provide newer versions of their outfits, but of course that's up to the various content providers as to whether it's worth their own effort or not. As Llynara continues to show off here, there are a LOT of cool outfits from the days of yore... (pre Genesis), which is why Wear Them All is nice to have in the first place.
@tj_1ca9500b I'm glad that's helpful :) I've never seen it done, so thought I'd give it a whirl.
You're welcome! Glad it helps. I use Wear Them All every day. It's probably the most useful add on I have.
The male version already has G2M clones. Those are in the autofit feature that's built in to DAZ (same for G3F having the G2F clones.) Wear Them All for G3M has all the clones for M4, V4, Genesis and G2F. So your characters can wear a dress or some kick butt outfit that comes only for the other gender. Here's M7 in the Arthurian Dress for G2F (from the Nineve Pro bundle). Dmitri isn't too sure about Michael's fashion choices.
I don't have any smoothers on or the Iray materials, so it's a bit of a rough render. Just for fun.
Valzheimer has some backwards options too. G3F for G2F and G3M for G2M. These work perfectly and allow me to get lots of clothing on my rather stubborn illusionist who prefers to be a G2M. He happens to also like M4 clothing and occasionally G3M stuff. Picky story people! SickleYield also has some clones, which are great for more fitting options and also for taking things backwards to Genesis 1.
Thanks! I did some post-work with lightroom to get the colors just right.
:( Too bad about those boots. Shoes and shields are probably the hardest to transfer. Shields get destroyed, as you said, so I just parent them. Either that or a switch to a G3 version shield.
I also use the product almost everyday. I can't recommend it enough! The fact that my female characters can wear male armor is super helpful. Especially since MOST female "armors" are pretty much... metal bikinies -_-.
Here's a render with using:
Left image is the default transfer using WearThemAll. Right image shows the tweaked chest via the fit control morphs. Basically pulling the clothes away from the breasts a bit, so the fabric pulls rather than act like latex.
This is gorgeous, Giselle!
Very nice
I got the Gypsies set and all the textures plus the historical gowns and all the textures and Juliet and the light and dark sets. All this for less than $10
Those are nice
Thank you very much!
Oh, I really like this gown! Could you tell me which product that is?
I really liked the Space Dweller outfit for V4, so I went ahead and picked the male version too:
I really like that the original clothing morphs are usable after using wear them all. Which means, posing the tunic when I posed him was a breeze! You can't see the back of the cape with this pose, but the cape also has all the movement morphs working just fine. I didn't even use Fit Control for this one. The pelvis area got weird, but it just changing the smoothing type from base matching to generic fixed it. Though for the most part this is the original texture, I did reshade the metal bits and the strips with a metal shader. Everything else was simply converted to uber. All in all, an excellent product for incredibly cheap ($.50)!
I'm sharing a variation with less lighting effects so you can better see how well the clothes fit. Minor pokethrough on the inner thighs, but nothing smoothing (or postwork) won't fix.
Giselle, the gown is from the historic gowns collection with a texture from the mappak2 applied. Next I will do the ones with the big skirt. Love this set and so incredibly cheap.

Here is the Historic gowns, 18th century gown with the AK_18th_VersaillesVixen texture applied.
I just read the V1/V2 clothing had very bad topology but these renders make the V3 / M3 clothing look very nicely done. I will be buying more of these items than I thought.
Giselle- that M4 outfit looks great on him!
Alliekatblue- Very lovely! I really like that Versailles one.
I tried retexturing that gown with Iray shaders, and the tiling looked very strange, no matter how I adjusted it. It might be one of those that needs an entirely new texture in the traditional patterned format.
On the V2 and M2 Changing Fantasy outfits that I was having issue with- I forgot to try something- Cross Dresser. I have a V3 license. I could convert it from V2 and then try fitting it to a G3F via Wear Them All. I hadn't thought of using those tools together, but why not?
Ok, here's another crack at Victoria's Changing Fantasy Outfit and the Olympian Comforming Clothing. I converted from V2 to V3 via Cross Dresser. There are options to keep morphs or add fitting morphs. It's hit or miss- sometimes the program crashes. Not sure why. I need to learn Cross Dresser better. There's a TON you can do with.
The feet are still an issue, but the rest fits very well. For the Olympian, the sandals fit fine, in the default T pose. But if you choose any other pose, they go wonky. That's why Olympia 7 looks like a Barbie doll here, I just put her arms down, but left her lower half in the T pose.
For Victoria's Changing Fantasy Suit, I had to actually scale down the thigh bones of the outfit and do some dialing of the feet and toes to get this anywhere close to fitting. It still looks wonky. I put the smoothers on and hid the toes that were poking through. It's the best I can do on that one. This texture is from one of the add on mappacks and doesn't look bad. The shield still warps when posed, so in this case, posing the lower body and carefully hand posing the upper body might work best. Or just use a different shield and turn this one's opacity to zero in the Surfaces Tab.
I may load this on a V3 in Poser to see if I can find those dials that are supposed to change the suit. They aren't anywhere to be found in DAZ so far.
LOL- I just realized V7's nose is poking out of the helmet. Might have to turn that off too!
And here's the Historic Gown converted from V2 to V3, then fitted with Wear Them All. It seems to follow the poses better this way. You can also include the morphs to fit the breasts better when converting with Cross Dresser. That worked very well on the dress Olympia 7 is wearing. The ball gown fit beautifully. Both needed smoothing because the fit in the shoulders wasn't quite right. The textures for these look pretty decent, except the stretching on that ballgown skirt. not sure what causes that, but the textures here look better than any retexturing attempts I've made. Something about the tiling goes nuts in there, no matter how much adjusting, Uber and SubD you throw at it.
Those weird things at the bottom are skirt handles and misfitted shoes. I forgot they were there until after the render was done. I added the handles with Cross Dresser.
PS. Not clothing, but in the sale, Paradise Pavilion and add on textures. Nice backdrop for all our old stuff, and they look surprisingly good in Iray.
Here's a quick render with just default conversions- haven't messed with any textures or settings yet. I really like the detail on these:
Default Pavilion:
Palace of India:
@Lynara, with that bellgown, it looks like the skirt just has a morph that causes a "bloating" effect, therefore affecting the textures, maybe? Are the skirt surface texture tied to the upper part of the dress? Although I like the other gown in the set, I'm not crazy about the bellgown (so I'm on the fence). I personally prefer A3 Marie Antoniette Gown for a big dress. The other dress poses well? Does it have morphs to add movement by default, or did you included them with the cross-dresser thing?
The thing you mentioned with the shield in Victoria's Fantasy Outfit also happened to me when I tried fitting Paladin HD MMXV for Gen2 Male to Gen3 female (example below). Overall, it transferred pretty well and the textures are amazing. I used Alien Metals to get the settings for the Iray metals (but without replacing the textures) in order to change the armor's color. Then used Fantasy Leather Iray Shaders to change the pants to chainmail. So the issues I got when transferring this outfit (to keep in mind) are:
But overall, everything else looked superb. Maybe if I transferred the cape via SY Ultra Templates, I might've been able to add movement... might try at a later date.
So left side shows the Complete Paladin's Armor worn by a Gen2 Male. Right side shows some of the pieces transferred to Gen3 female via WearThemAll.
Here's another angle of the final product (after all the kitbashing):
