@greymouser69  I like the Casablanca outfit! Nice. Thanks for the link, too.

Here is Mace for Genesis 3 Male wearing Michael 3 Millennium Beard, M304 and BAM3.  The jacket and shirt from M304 have morphs, but I haven't dug down to find them yet.  I'll be looking for those soon.  I like how the shirt is done to fit under the sweater and jacket.  There are opacity presets so that they look great with no poke through.  Yay!  I wish more vendors still did this with some of their outfits.  I love all of the presets for the Millennium Beard and it fits G3 like it was made for him which is great!  I used UHT2 shaders on it.  Unfortunately, I don't really have an appropriate older hair for him.  I used Shaved for G3M for his hair.  Excuse the dome reflected in the background.  I didn't quite realize it would do that when I rendered it.  It's just two planes with shaders on them.  I like the look of the marble, though, so I might have to use it in a render where an actual room gets reflected back.  I had to adjust some surface settings again after converting to Iray, but, other than that, these are all the original textures.

The only real problem I had with this was the pants.  The pose caused some weirdness at the cuff.  I'll have to see if I can figure out a fix for that.  I didn't notice anything wrong when standing in the T-pose.

Angel of Light for A3. Except for some minor distortions in the skirt which just get worse with smoothing, all seems to work fine. Wings need to be just parented, autofit totally distorts them.

A3 Marie Antoniette Gown converted perfectly to G3, except for some pokethrough that following the smoothing intructions in the PDF got rid of.

Love this! The outfit looks great and so does the beard. But I have to know how you did the cracked mirror. That's so cool!

Is that a mirror? Looks like reflective marble to me. :)

...so is there any good way to solve the mesh stretching of a skirt without resorting to a modelling or sculpting programme?

I know! Can this "mermaid clone" be made available to us who can't do stuff in blender? I saw the tutorial and I just can't get my 53 year old brain around figuring out another program.

Hmm, not sure if I can post a 'clone' file without breaking some license/eula/tos. I used V4 and G3F to create it in blender and I don't own the copyright to either of those figures. If someone from daz posts and gives the OK, I don't mind sharing it.

...I definitely need some other option to a modelling programme to deal with this.  For example, on a number of Genesis/G2 dresses that I autofit to G3F, I get this "V" shaped "divot" that protrudes outward in the middle of the skirt.  The SickleYeild fits only seem to deal with the upper body not the skirt so those don't help.  I can understand issues with Gen4 dresses, but Genesis and G2 ones should fit properly with no distortions.

In my experience, that's pretty much par for the course when using auto-fit, even with Sickleyied's products and even with clothing items designed within the specifications for native Genesis, G2F and G3F products, especially when the product is fitted to a base figure that was released after the product was created.

Here's Pix Jingfei for G3F in the Classic Cheongsam Dress for V3, Ingenue Vickie and Glamorous Vickie. Just some uber thrown over it. I could not get the shoes to fit (she's wearing some for G3F), but the dress fits nicely. The flower wouldn't fit, I parented it instead.

V-tearing is frequent for autofitting dresses. I may have a solution to this which I'll post as a freebie, so stay tuned? :)

Thanks, @Llynara!   @Toonces got it right.  That's a marble shader.  I really like how it looks kind of like a cracked mirror, too.  It's highly reflective and the grain does look like cracks in glass.  As soon as my current render is done, I'll open the scene back up find out which package that marble is in. I think the only thing I did with it was make adjustments to the tiling and offset.  I can let you know what those settings were to get that look in case you happen to have the marble.

Nice.  I picked this up, too.  I'll have to remember that about the flower.  Otherwise, it looks really good.  I'm really amazed that the shoes are fitting so well.  Shoes are always a pain to try getting on a different generation, but so far the script has been doing a great job autofitting the shoes to G3.

@carrie58  That look really good.  I haven't tries fitting anything with the toons generations 2 in the mix yet.  The fit looks very good.  :)

You're thinking of the outfit (conversion quality) or the shaders (or both)? In any case the shaders are all Mec4D.

I think you did a much better job shading yours. I think I've still got my render around here somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up. Those wings look like clay without reshading. My results looked bizarre without major tinkering.

@knittingmommy Thanks! I would love to know how you did that. I'm trying to do a cracked mirror look for my next book cover and am looking at all the options in DAZ as well as postwork. The Cheongsam shoes didn't work so those are G3F shoes. I could not get the V3 ones to fit right no matter what I did.

Well I just used the Mec4D PBS shaders vol. 1 & 3 (Gold 14K Used, Silver Used, Steel (sword blade) and Metal Paint Base Red for the red stuff). Pretty simple.

Found an outfit in smart content for A3 and using this to put it on Mika.  Got a lot of cute outfits for A3 that I think would work on Mika or other G3F characters.  Wait I wonder how Ivan would look in A3 ballerina outfit?  I think I have one that was originally at RDNA from Littlefox.  or did that not get ported over?

Your post reminded me of the time I did a Freak in a pink tutu.  I played Everquest 2 for many years and one of the guild officers was very serious about raiding.  So when this came out, I couldn't resist.  LOL, he wasn't very pleased but the other guildies loved it!
