Zarcon, that's a great pic and use of gifts.  Thanks for the render.

Where did you get that so amazing deco font???

Hello Ikyoto, Feral Fey did these promos for Eustace.  I will ask her and see if she can rememer.  Isn't that a cool deco front?

Thanks for the compliment. However, while I did the artwork, Eustace did the copy work. I'll give him a poke to see what font he used.

It's called Avignon, by one Nick Curtis.  I've been collecting fonts since before I was into 3D, and I've had this one for years.  I don't remember where I got it, but you may download it at Fontspace.com if you'd like.

Calling all Cartoon, Comic and Newsprint render monsters, here is what you have been waiting for...comic/newsprint style shader presets for Star2.0.  Dick Tracy would be so jealous (anyone remember Dick Tracy?).  Let me just turn on my wrist walkie-talkie and get him on the line, lol.

Today's gift item is from Eustace Scrubb and is an add-on to his Skunkvill Noir shader comic shader set.  A big thank you as well to FeralFey for rendering the beautiful promotional images.

At the heart of Skunkville are the comic effects that change the ordinary surface’s appearance into a vivid comic-book or newsprint panel, or eye-popping dot pop art.

..ah alas, the first one I have to pass on as I don't have Star.

The skin settings seem to work ok without the Star 2.0 mats.

Now the eye settings that it comes with do seem to need the Star 2.0 mats.

But the skin settings appear to work ok with any G3 toon character.

That's correct:  both the eye and the hair presets require Lady Littlefox's products (Star2.0 for the eyes, and either Violet or Annie hair for the hair presets:  I used both in making 'em, but they use the same textures and material zones) because they use her maps.  The skin-tones, however, are map-independent and can be used on Gianni 7 as well as they can on Star 2.0.  They're calibrated for use with generically-pale "white" maps, so other maps or none at all will have (potentially dramatically) different results.  And yes, they'll show up almost-right with other shaders, but the final touch of newspaper halftoning is exclusive to Skunkville Noir.

Thanks Kismet, she's telling him that she'll help shovel as soon as her nails dry :)

That is a good render Kismet, nails drying or hand warmers to cold to heat up.  I think there is a few more things floating around somewhere I could have (and should have) used in that render, I'll need to make another.

And I'm sure there are others that got yanked from the store and I forgot what they were.

Today is NG Artplay and 3D-GHDesign's gift day.  Today's gift is actually a rework of an older item that I loved so much that I didn't want it to get lost in internet land.  During one of RuntimeDNA's 13 Days of Christmas giveaways I made a jack-in-the-box for 3D-GHDesign's Disturbing Sci-Fi Christmas Present.  We both got together and reworked out products to bring you an improved gift.  The present box is now a figure and the lid opens and closes much easier.  All new Iray shader presets were made for both and it was packed into a native Daz Studio file.  3D-GHDesign's new Iray textures are gorgeous.  The original Poser files will be linked here but they were not reworked so if you already have them there is no need to download them again.

My original idea for a line dance ran into a scratch-disk size difficulty (I ran out of room), I'll see if I can approach that from a different angle.

Ah (I see potential for confusion If I type this wrong), actually that is my version of a 'Matrix' (tm) construct, it's just my test chamber for setting up stuff. in the test chamber is DG's 'DGWall' prop-thing with her wall-prop shaders on it, and a few other items from DG's store... and DG's Holiday shaders on Fisty's Leotard , I have no idea what Daz has planed for that stuff after the initial launch. I'm also working on looking at some other stuff.
