Jut 550? I was expecting a lot more
Also, Dragon 3?? There's a new draggy to play with? ;v;
Aaah but it' probbly in the NewDAZ duf format and so useless to me xvx
The pound hasn't been worth $2 since before the recession ($2.01 in 2007). It's currently worth $1.31 (which is up from its post-BREXIT low of $1.25 - a 2-week high apparently). Lowest value ever was $1.05 in 1985, & highest in "recent" years was $2.86 in 1957.
Also in the US -- I think -- prices are quoted before tax, whereas here tax (20%) is included in the price (ie what we see is what we pay).
Ah the photohop being subcription based softwree now, I never moved on up from CS5 ince I didn't want to add another monthly payment thing to the list of stuff I needed to keep track of xD
None of the new stuff in future versions screamed "I need that" to me so I never cared. All of the custom brushes I have work with my version, so I'm happy enough with the one I have.
I really like using the Oil brushes for shading, after I've put down the flat colors I'll stick the usual Multiply/Overlay/etc layers over it for shading and then pick away at the masks with them. Makes some nice results :>
Just looked on Amazon.com, and the £95 mouse is showing as $102. So it isn't far off the exchange rate + tax.
Yeah, no subscription Photoshop for me. I started using Photoshop about 17 years ago. Upgraded about every 3 versions. Currently have CS5 Photoshop and CS5 Illustrator and they are quite satisfactory. None of the new improvements are things I couldn't do without.
Goodness. I must've been using much earlier figures when I converted the pound to dollars. That was years ago though, when I first started trying to teach adolescents to like history.
I thought...5 dollars = 1 pound. How silly of me. :-)
Can we tell yo' mama jokes in this here thread? I seriously need to get happy.
well, tournequettes are ixnayed. there's a hemostat dressing, supposed to clot blood. ?? how many of us has one of those handy.
splints are ixnayed. not sposed to move the victim.
Me too. When I went traveled that direction I found the Pound to be about 5 Dollars and the Guilders in Amsterdam to be about $0.5 dollars. It made head calculations easy. Don't mind me, I'm just another old fogey with tales of the olden days.
PS: I don't remember what the German Marks were worth at the time but the reason why is in itself another story best told after a couple of drinks or tokes.
Does it have anything to do with the initial year -1950? Maybe that's the year I used when I made the wrong calculations.
Math has never made any sense at all to me. Geometry, yes. But straight up math, forget it. Too many rules.
As for the German mark...just two? I mean, seriously. Two? :-) I'm joking.
....the process is also known as "blanching". Here in the States, most establishments don't take the time to do it because of quick turn times most customers expect and sometimes limited kitchen space/staff. The reason store bought frozen fries/chips tend to cook nice and crisp in minutes is because this process has already been done before freezing.
You can also freeze the blanched fries/chips for later use.
...you still don't get a DVD with the programme on it any more.
...and why then does Adobe refer to it as "Creative Cloud?"
....yeah one of those d***ed if you do d***ed if you don't situations, I know it all too well.
deltaed?
heat n humidz finalllyy in comfort zone,
anticipating solid sleep tnite
Nor do you get a DVD for DS. The Creative Cloud bit is mainly marketing (though you can, if you wish, upload content to a portfolio site). I'm not trying to get you to take out a CC subscription, just pointing out that you are drawing a false conclusion from the label.
Wait, is there a DVD prop for DS 4.9 with iRay settings?
I've never actually owned a physical copy of Photoshop in all the years I've been using and upgrading it. xD I got a copy of Elements, but I think that was bundled free with something... Can't even remember where that case and disc came from actually.
we up to page 59/
thread needs more dragon boxes !
torturing myself lookin at latte art
That's cute, but looking at those kittens freaks me out a little. :-)
Might could handle the first one, if they'd skim off all that chocolate.
marshmallow fluff
oh that stuff is where dreams come from
Ok. If you say so.
You got 'shrooms in the pasta sauce again?
...really need to win that lotto. Not so much for clearing my wishlist or building a new system or take a whirlwind world trip, but just to get my own place again.
Got home tonight after doing the marketing on a 99° degree day (I bike or walk, don't drive). Figured by the time I got home, everyone else would have already been done with dinner, but no such luck. So much for doing the stir fry I intended to make as I would have to wait as the kitchen was busy (I figured by 21:30 or so). So went to my room to catch up on emails that came in while I was out I figured as it would be late I'd "go to plan B" plan B, which was make my homestyle stove top Pasta & Cheese (sour creme, creme cheese, shred some cheddar, toss in some minced garlic, a bit of black pepper, and top with shaved Parmesan), fairly simple and much better than that powdered rubbish in a box. 45 min later I come down the kitchen is dark, but to my disappointment when I turn the light on, I discovered that all the saucepans were in the sink totally messed up. The only cookware left were huge soup and stew pots which would have been ridiculous for boiling a cup and a half worth of .pasta. As it was late, I was tired, and not about to wash out pans others used before I could cook my dinner, I ended up going out and getting takeout,...again. (last night, the kitchen looked like hurricane Camille roared through it as both sinks were stacked brimming full).
I really, really need my own place again however, the only way I'm beginning to feel it will happen (with teh obscene rents here) is if I get some kind or windfall considering how things are dragging on with my Social Security Disability claim and the fact there is an acute shortage of fixed income housing where I live (wait lists are in eth neighbourhood of five years).
...yeah, my big splurge would be a 5 year lease on a nice small 1 BR house (with maybe the option to purchase) or an apartment (in a classier older building) in the inner environs of the city where I don't need a car or three bus transfers each way to get to where I need to go.
I'd say that's definitely a valid complaint.
Good luck, and I hope things get better.
Marshmallow Fluff is one of the great inventions!
Dana
It's like cane syrup. Just too much of a good thing.
I never had CS-anything -- too expensive. But I can justify 8 quid a month for CC. 1. It'll take a good 5 years before I've effectively paid for a full copy, and 2. (more importantly) as a PA it's something I use every day and so as a business expense I can offset it against tax. :D
Marsh mallow (the plant from which...) is now pretty rare in this country. Not quite endangered, but you'd certainly need to look hard in the wild, marshy places to find any. I think it was the roots they boiled up to make marshmallow the sweet, but of course it's all artificial now.
soggy, the soggs, sogginess soggily soggination
