I am afraid that a mousetrap for virgin mice would be useless for adult rodents. From what I understand about the pets I have had that were not fixed and were around same species of the opposite sex, they do not stay virigins for long. That is how I got kittens in 2012. The two cats did something with each other. but I will not tell you what? I am not posting a biology lesson right now.
But @SilverGirl I hear you on being there for your kids. My son and I both got stomach flu when he was 9 months old and that was a nightmare. I have physical therapy on Monday morning early, so I hope I improve. I am coming to the opinion that hanging around waiting rooms of medical centers is dangerous to your health. It also didn't help that the flu hit hard in Denver right now.
But good luck on your phased shots and schedule. I am still a big advocate for shots. The years I have missed them I have been so ill I thought I might have to be admitted to hospital. What was worse was when I lived in barracks and still had to go to work because unless they would admit us to hospital, we couldn't get off for illness. And one base had no hospital rooms for female military. So as sick as I feel now, I would still have to be working every day.
How do they not have hospital rooms for female military?? (I mean, part of me is sadly not shocked. And yet...)
I've gotten relatively lucky... the only stomach issues I've had since becoming a mom have been pregnancy-related ("morning" sick is such misnomer; it went all day for me). Somehow against all odds I dodged tandem barfing even though on multiple occasions a much younger Teen Kiddo nailed me point blank. I've gotten simultaneous other things with the kids, though. I think the worst was when Teen Kiddo and I both got flu A at the same time... they were a young toddler at the time and spiked a really high fever, so I took them in and they got tamiflu right off... I'd already been feeling like butt for a couple days but pushing through, so it was too late for me. Kiddo bounced right back, which was great, but it just hung on me with some post-viral issues for weeks. At one point I was coughing so hard that Kiddo got scared, started crying, and handed me their stuffed bunny. Poor sweetheart. (We both got it from my now-ex-, who'd deliberately infect us any time he caught something. It's amazing how healthy we've been since he's been gone.)
So yeah, if there's a shot for it, sign me up. I'm counting down to when I finally turn 50 and can get my shingles shot. I know several people about my age who have come down with it before they could get vaccinated, and it does NOT sound like fun. (And recent studies have shown it to provide some protection against Alzheimer's, which is part of what took out my maternal grandmother, so yeah. Double want it.)
@LeatherGryphon - while waiting for the hole to be properly filled, I've heard stuffing steel wool in it (assuming the size allows for that) is effective.
Complaint: I just updated my budget spreadsheet for next month. Any discretionary money I had, has been already spent. No self-birthday present this year.
Non-complaint: But at least next month is only a 4-month week. And so is December.
Complaint: By New Year's Day I may have saved enough to pay for increases in medical insurance.

Velim ut domi dormiat. Nam in gymnasio dormire, aut etiam in hortis publicis dum domum redit, mos est qui tollendus est.
Just to warn you, I'm not learning Latin.

Richard
Velim domi dormiat; non enim decet in gymnasio aut in hortis publicis dormire. Id consuetudo tollenda est.
Ja, sleeping at the gym or parks are not good. I asked copilot to make your sentence more natural. I would do it myself but I just started learning Latin.

WoW that is going to be a really long, long week.
Don't get old, words have a way of tricking you.
Or: Never post late in the morning, (or afternoon, or evening).
Or: I meant to say that to see if anybody reads my posts. Shout out to Charlie Judge.
Or: Who would guess that my hobbies are studying Quantum Physics, Cosmology, and the Mathematics that I couldn't GROK in college. Words, schmurds, it's numbers that matter. Perhaps I now have a clue as to why I couldn't grasp that Mathematics in college.
Or: I could have said November and December are two weak months.

I am learning Latin. Chris Hemsworth in gymnasio habitat!
He looks like it could be true.
Correction Chris Hemsworth in gymnasia habitat sed domi dormit!
I used dormi instead of domi.

I have a ten dollar gift card for Taco Bell that I cannot use. They want me to use in store but they do not take e-gift cards in store.
