Funny that the Bayou Stilt House comes with a beach environment and not, you know, a bayou
Yeah...not to mention that it's on a tiny smidgeon of land that would probably disappear during high tides and make access difficult the rest of the time. I think a lot of people have no idea what a bayou actually is... or it could just be that adding a real bayou would have meant more modeling of trees, other plants, etc. than the PA wanted to invest.

That was my guess. Too much work.
Adding a full bayou would probably make it two products in effect.
Every artist has different requirements for their work. I like that the houses in "Human" are always surrounded by a bunch of trees, which saves me the trouble of creating a background.I also like this modern aesthetic design (I don't know how to describe it properly, minimalist? geometric?).
PW Productions always manages to create amazing mansions, usually complete with a surrounding environment. After all, mansions are customized products and naturally need to resonate with their surroundings. This time, it's a mansion on a remote island, with a vast space that can accommodate many vehicles or military equipment. It sparked a lot of inspiration.
Digital Lab 3D's products always exude a sense of epic grandeur and solitude. Imagine the protagonist looking up at this bridge from below—how breathtaking! If this river were designed to flow into the sea, I would definitely place a Bayou Stilt House or a Private Island Villa there.

I like this Wuxia series of products. Although the imprint is quite small, I look forward to using products that can be applied to the whole body. It would be fantastic if it had patterns on the backs and arms of creatures like the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, Black Tortoise, and Qilin, along with a glowing effect.

I wonder how easily it could be combined with one of the existing swamp environments

I'll just point out that those images are a before and after of Buxton, North Carolina (dated September 2025) where extreme offshore erosion that ate up 200 feet of shoreline in just a few years, causing a large number of these houses to ultimately collapse and be swept out to sea... which rather gives weight to my point about the location used for the product being a rather poor choice, besides rather obviously not being a bayou.

Which goes back to the question of why they named it the product a Bayou House, when they didn't add the bayou and instead delivered a beach house.
Am I right in believing that along the Mississippi State coast all houses have to be on legs if the gound is below 28ft above sea level, and the stilts are to take them up to the 28ft level? Think this is what a correspondant of mine said. Not fun.
thought I'd google Bayou as sometimes other things can be named the same but be different so apperently -
A bayou is a slow-moving, marshy body of water, such as an inlet, outlet, or minor stream connected to a larger river or lake. The word is most commonly used in the Gulf Coast region of the southern United States, especially in Louisiana.
Wikipedia +1
Where the Word Comes From
The word comes from the Louisiana French term bayou.
It originally comes from the Choctaw Native American word bayuk, which means "small stream".
Dictionary.com
What a Bayou Looks Like
Flat, low-lying land where water barely moves.
Lined with thick plants, trees like cypress, and hanging moss.
Filled with rich wildlife, including fish, turtles, and alligators.

Bayou vs. Swamp
Bayou: Has a slow, steady current or gentle movement.
Swamp: Mostly static or standing water sitting over a large area of saturated land.
PW Productions always manages to create amazing mansions, usually complete with a surrounding environment. After all, mansions are customized products and naturally need to resonate with their surroundings. seen some docos and photos of places like this they do exist even some castle like ones
Looks very much like a NZ beach house and I'm very tempted to get it...it would need modifying, the shutters and outside wiring would have to go and that bathroom would need its textures changed, my bum would clench over a toilet like that. But I like the concept, it definitely has potential.
I love the atmosphere of this scene—the railway, the canal! It felt like I was back home. The scene is rich in content, and most of the buildings have interiors that can be used, which is fantastic.
Aside from the great artwork and modelling skills, why is this more SFW, than Rotica content?
Both have their legit value, but it is just striking, that one is good to go, while the other is labeled as a danger to under 18 years old.
It's largely accurate to the real place and it's a good versatile piece of canal infrastructure with enough elements (bends, junctions, bridges, a lock, etc) that you can do quite a lot with it as a generic location.
Similarly, https://www.daz3d.com/ultrascenery-2--marinas-and-moorings and https://www.daz3d.com/ultrascenery2--snake-bridge are reasonably accurate to the real thing. There's quibbles with a few of the moorings because there's not actually enough space to turn a boat into them, but this is the kind of thing I could see as either honest mistake from not having a lot of experience with canal boats, or a compromise based on the limits of US2.
There's railway track that seems to be largely useless for loading or unloading anything, because there's such limited space next to it. And in basically any dock I've seen, a railway would have tracks that were recessed into the ground so that other vehicles/carts/etc can still move through the area (you can see that kind of thing in this video):
Embedding the track also makes the loading height a fair bit lower, and would also mean that the track might have actually survived past the prime of the dock. (At least in the UK, track laid the way it is in the set would almost certainly have been taken up and sold for scrap if the dock was no longer profitable).
A lot of the buildings are also unlike any buildings I can recall having seen around canal docks or wharfs within the UK (and I have travelled quite a lot of the canals of England), despite the use of British narrowboats in the promos.
I was initially enthusiastic about seeing that they'd done new canal content, but this is underwhelming, and I don't think I've got any use for it.

Agreed, it's a great looking set and looks to be incredibly versatile as a resource for kit-bashing, though if it's like most Tango Alpha products it will probably be fairly demanding on the computer. In my cart now.

I’m very glad you also like wuxia. Yes, but it’s not just tattoos—many wuxia characters have tattoos on their bodies. Moreover, similar designs are also quite common in modern xianxia works, though more elegant. Besides the forehead, they are frequently seen on the back, chest, arms, and the backs of the hands. Looking forward to your next work!
I too, look forward to further products from the Wuxia genre. I had just purchased several of @Lala-Rabbits products this past weekend while eyeing these very make up kits.
Why call it a jeep at all in this case, its just asking for trouble.
Because "Jeep" as a term, while trademarked, is in pretty wide generic use tor refer to a non-specific off-road vehicle.
It's like "jet ski". Technically "jet ski" is a Kawasaki trademark, but if you say "Should we rent a Personal Water Craft for the afternoon?", everyone looks at you funny.

Very nice but I am wondering why all the lake towns? 1 in china. 1 in the 19th century and 1 in europe I think.
Waterside locations have historically been very important for access to transport links. In days of yore the only way to move more than a cartful of stuff was to do it in a boat. As a result most towns grew up on a waterway with the bulk of the goods being shipped by water. It was faster (can travel all night as well as all day), capable of taking greater tonnages, less cramped than carriages and generally less tiring on the people moving. As a result most towns had wharves and I think that's being reflected in the models.
I really like Content Catalog for Windows (Mac version is there too!), and it seems perfect for what I'd need, but it says "Content Catalog is an application that scans your downloaded zip files," and that gave me pause, because I have DIM set up to automatically delete packages after the install, and if I have to re-download those packages manually, it would be over 5000 products (maybe about 4000 if I exclude stuff I don't have installed), that's a loooot of extra work for nearly some $18. Unless I'm missing some obvious solution? (It's early, and I've been awake since 2am, so my brain is slower than a GTX 1060).
I also cheered that MetaMixer is now available for Genesis 9, buuuut... I have used the previous MetaMixer maybe once while buying add-on figures for it for a while, so while it's neat, it seems that I might not need it. And this one doesn't specify, if you have to keep buying addons too for more mixing options or you can use any figures you have, which also gives me a pause. But even if I'm not getting it, it's still nice to see it in the store. I'm sure there are many users who used the old version regularly.

Content Catalog for Windows is a must for me.
I were also surprised on the release of new MetaMixer. It is very nice, but usability for me at the moment is very limited.
Have to try the old version of MetaMixer, to see, how it works for me now.
As a Dazoholic, I have already purchased 25 previous MetaMixer products.
While many artists are scaling back their product, this product boasts a complete range of clothing and accessories, a wide selection of patterns, and even exquisite lace designs.
Besides, $18 is a fairly low price, and it could be even lower with tokens, etc.
The NEW-FLASH-3 coupon code still works and brings it down to $12.24 so its a real bargain. I rarely buy things on launch but I just bought this because I've been wanting something like this for a long time. Probably going to be my last purchase until November.

IMHO, it is a good offer even without the coupon, but I'm somewhat soured by the PA's dismissive response of the additional work needed to use this product, so I'm even more on the fence than I was.

BUT, I would love to see someone put this on. How does that happen, actually, in the real world. I can imagine a tangled mess or something akin to that.

They put it on by clicking on the clothing preset and it magically appears on their body! Or is that not how clothes work in real life?
