    NGartplay - thank you.

ed3D - thank you. To create such a cube city, create a terrain in the Terrain Editor (TE) and give it a material. A cube has 4 sides, a roof, and a floor. Copy the terrain 5 times, rotate each part and place them to form a cube. Though it may be a bit tricky to place them seamless but it can be done with a bit of patience. Then select all 6 and group them. Now you can scale, rotate and place it as you wish.

Hansmar - thank you. Very nicely done space scene.

mermaid - thank you. It is not meant to be an abstract but rather inside a messy laboratorium. Now below, we do have an abstract. Actually the same scene, but the texture for the material is not Object Space but Random and the HDRI was changed.

The camera is within a pyramid with a self made material. Colour and light by the WpH08_SC HDRI from Hyper Textures Base, very few sun light, a lot of specular. Stimulates the imagination, many things can be seen.

    Thanks, mermaid010 and Horo.

Wonderfull new abstract, Horo. Looks like some weird mineral to me.

Horo: The rolling hills with a lake remind me of model train sets (I suppose it's because of the textures you used); in the next scene with a lake, the hills look like they're made of copper; the geometric object is really cool and psychedelic; the armadillo and the dragon are like those glass figurines I had as a kid that reminded me of my (now deceased) mother; the cube city looks spectacular floating in space; the city with the cube face also turned out great; the trains look nice on display; the glaciers in the valleys look very realistic; the mountain peaks look a bit sinister, like something out of Kong Island or something similar; the technical room or laboratory looks impressive (my twisted imagination makes me think of a disassembled quantum computer about to be dusted, as ed3D mentioned); the abstract really stimulates the imagination; so many ideas come to mind that I won't mention them all.

mermaid010: The city on the water is beautiful; it makes you want to take a boat and explore it completely. The new version of the snow-covered mountains is much better, congratulations! The corrugated pipe with HDRI is like the corporate image of an industry (at least that's what I imagine). The angle of the waterfalls is very good; the torus knot effect looks great.

Hansmar: The islands with the seagulls are photorealistic, congratulations! The countryside scene is very peaceful and relaxing. I liked how the lighting turned out for the people in front of the fireplace. The space scene conveys an air of desolation and distance.

ed3D: The device for removing the dust that accumulates inside our computers looks very useful.

Electro-Elvis: The HMS Victory sailing at sunset is fantastic.

Now, finally, I'm contributing a new scene titled Alien Structure on an Orange Sea:

It's another distant world, where a curious extraterrestrial structure floats on the calm waters. A lighthouse, a city, a telescope, a generator?

Object created in Structure Synth. The background is Landscapes under Fantastic Skies by David Brinnen and Horo Wemli.

Mysterious space landscape and very cool sky, Hansmar.

Horo, that is absolutely wild.  It looks like an acrylic paint flow picture.

Teo, such a dramatic effect with the sky and the water reflections.  The reds and oranges make this pop.

Just because I need to open Bryce once in a while.  Added objects to a test image that I did a long while ago.

    Hansmar - thank you.

Teobaldo - thank you. The Alien Structure on Orange Sea looks interesting and is very nicely lit under this warm sky.

NGartplay - thank you. The objects in your test image look great with their transparency and reflection.

Horo - excellent abstract, I see an alien with many eyes or many aliens.

Teobaldo- thanks, beautiful alien scene, I also like the reflections of the sky, every cool object/island.

NGartplay - awesome render, the materials and lighting are awesome.

The terrain was self made and given an adjusted material from Gritstone Hills. Sky and ambient light by the ErnieClouds HDRI (free as Angular Map on my website > Raytracing > Resources > HDRI) and the key light by the sun. Three differently high spiky mountain lines.

    Thank, Teobaldo and NGartplay.

Simple, but very nice render, Teobaldo. Quite some time, since I created something with Structure Synth. Good idea to use this tool again.

Forbidding looking mountain range, Horo, with very nice texture.

    Hansmar - thank you.

The object is the Alien Artefact010 from Alien Artifacts Vol1 by MatCreator with the material (Pro Materials Tau_davidbrinnen). It stands on the reflecting ground plane and is with the camera within a sphere with Transparency 75, Reflection 100 and Refraction 200. Light and colours by an HDRI from Hyper Textures Base and a bit of specularity by the sun. An unknown micro-organism.

Very nice spiky mountain scene Horo, with nice the materials and lighting; the Alien Artefact is beautifully done.

The setup is from David’s Hdri Captured Volumetric Skies, I changed the camera position, added the boat and dove which are freebies.

Three self made terrains, up front the water with a material from High Resolution Terrains 4, at the back two with a self made material. Sky and clouds by the CloudSphere17 and the ambient light by the belonging SkySC17 HDRI (unpublished) and the key light by the sun. The coast of a land adjoining the sea.

mermaid - looks great, nice atmosphere and sky fit this scene nicely.

Four self made terrains with a material from Gritstone Hills. Sky and ambient light by an unpublished HDRI and the key light by the sun. A mountainous region with ridgy mountains and green meadows.

    Ridgy Mountains (Green)

The same scene, everything is the same, even the material on the terrains but slightly modified in the Texture editor. A mountainous region with ridgy mountains and autumnal meadows.

    Ridgy Moutains (Red)

I could not decide, which one I prefer. The second one I somehow preferred because of the red  parts but I found the grass a bit much on the yellow side. I prefer the green on the first but miss the red parts.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 11,503

Ah yes, two seasons summer (green) and autumn/fall reddish. I did not think about it his way. Thank you for your helpful comment mermaid.

mermaid, your landscape is somewhere that I'd love to explore; especially after a rain.

Horo, the detail is amazing in both images.  I agree with mermaid.
