NGartplay - thank you.
ed3D - I hope it will work fine for you.
Thanks NGartplay
Playing with an old pic that I never finished. It's not exciting but there's something about the background that I like...how it blends into the ground plane. Minimalist.
I'd like to know if this image looks dark to you or flat or too light. My computer is looking so dark to me but I'm not sure how my images really look. I changed monitors once and found that all my images with red in them looked orange.
NGartplay - interesting scene. The foreground may be water or sandy, the green middle could be plants on a mound and the greenish background could be a meadow with stones or some shallow water. Brightness of the image looks good to me.
Very interesting scene NGartplay, the brightness looks good to me too, seems like you used DOF to get the blurriness.
The terrain was self made and given a material combined from Gritstone Hills and High Resolution Terrains 2. The lake is the ground plane with my material. The ambient light by the WhiteSphereB7 HDRI (unpublished) and the key light by the sun. View from above on to a lake in a rough landscape.
Horo, that's gorgeous lighting.
No DOF. Thank you for giving me feedback. I have an Nvidia card, so I was trusting it, but when I looked at images on my Windows 7 computer, they were not as saturated and much lighter. Wasn't sure which computer was showing the correct colors.
Horo, some fantastic terrain renders again. Wonderful sea-terrain too.
Very nice terrain / rocks, mermaid010.
NGartplay, I also think the brightness in your render is OK. Maybe your monitor is set rather dark? I like it that the scene does not immediately show its subject.
Thank you NGartplay and Hansmar.
Beautiful Scene Horo, the lighting and materials are perfect, I thank an Anaglyph of this scene will look great.
Thanks Hansmar.
Alright Thanx
mermaid - thank you. Well, I gave the anaglyph a try, it looks good but the light is not sufficient. It would need quite some modifications.
The terrain was self made and given a material combined from High Resolution Terrains 1 and Landscapes under Fantastic Skies. Sky and ambient light by the ErmClouds09_SD HDRI (unpublished) and the key light by the sun. A landscape with some vegetation and rocky hills.
Another fantastic landscape Horo, very nice terrain material. I need to experiment with materials.
The terrain and canoe are freebies, lit by an Hdri from Hdri Captured Volumetric Skies, the terrain and the water materials are from the same set.
mermaid - thank you. Very nice scene with the isle in the haze and the boat in the foreground. Great sky and and the reflection of the sun on the water.
The terrain was self made and given a slightly modified material from High Resolution Terrains 2. The water is a 2D-Face with my water material. Ambient light by an HDRI from the High Resolution HDRI Set 1, the clouds are by the CloudSphere9 from the Sky Toolbox and the key light by the sun. A lake in the well of a partly snowy landscape.
@NGArtplay: Interesting image with this indefinable transition from the background into the groundplane. I think it is not too dark.
@Horo: Three outstanding landscapes. The first is my favourite landscape because of the way the sun reflects in the lake.
@mermaid010: Beautiful island scene. I love the atmosphere and the sky is stunnig.
I used Castle Window from Daz3D. Light comes from a HDRI and three Cube Dome Lights. The guy is the Genesis 8 character Floyd, which I simply reused here.
Electro-Elvis - thank you. Very nicely done scene with the gentleman at the window of a castle,
Thanks Horo, another excellent landscape, beautifully done.
Electro-Elvis- thanks, I love the mood of the Castle Window, awesome lighting.
I don't know if I ever shared this one, it popped up in the Pinterest newsletter today. The Alpine Valleys terrain was generated in TE and was then processed in the TE Filter Program by David and Horo. The image is compressed
; its linked from Pinterest.
Thank you mermaid. Very nice isles (?) under this dark blue sky.
Thanks Horo, yes they are islands
mermaid - thank you.
Actually the same scene as above (Lake in Well), but the terrain there was inverted and here it is normal so the lake above is here the mountain. The terrain here is nearly at the same place and a bit higher. The material is the same just the white snow changed to green grass in the Deep Texture Editor. Clouds and sun are rotated, that is all. A dark cloud over the mountain of an island.
Amazing work Horo, it's hard to imagine it's the same scene modified, beautiful scene.
Lovely landscapes, Horo. The shorelines are perfect.
mermaid, the moody sky adds just the right amount of color and interest. The subject makes one wonder how the boat came to be there.
Elvis, I love the subject and the character in this image. It looks like the circular window is a halo.
Hi everyone. Not been on here for quite some time now. Nice to see it's still up and running.
Just thought I'd share this. I just asked chatgpt to make an Ai version of one of my Bryce renders from a few years ago.
Can you tell which is which?
Old school Bryce, no fancy HDRI or anything. Inspired by: https://www.bing.com/spotlight?spotlightid=WL_BonnevilleFlatsUtah&q=Bonneville%20Salt%20Flats,%20Utah&carindexpill=0&carindeximg=0&textorimgcar=img&isfullscreen=true&carscrlimgv2=0&form=SLVFUL&ssid=NONE&trsid=NONE&chevclk=false
Both are convincing. Great chain pose. I think 11 is AI as the displacement is more pronounced.
mermaid - thank you. Yes, i was also surprised.
NGartplay - thank you.
StuartB - good to see you here again. I would say the left one is AI enhanced.
krickerd - this scene came out very nice and looks quite close the the inspired image.
krickerd - Nice image. Correct, 11 is Ai.
Horo - Thanks Horo. Yes, the one on the left is Ai. Turned out quite a bit brighter and more colourful.
Is David Brinnen still around on here?
My Gallery.

Thanks NGartplay
StuartB - I would have also guessed it was the Version 11; personally I think Photoshop filters would have done a better job.
Krickerd - I agree with Horo, the scene looks close to the inspired image, nicely done.
Wonderful terrains again, Horo. I am always most impressed by your textures and lighting.
Lovely sea view with canoe, mermaid010. Great colours and very calm mood. The last render is also very good.
Great scene with the castle window, Electro-elvis. Looks like there is a story behind this scene.
Interesting comparison, Stuart B, and good to see you here again. Personally, I try to keep away from AI, due to the enormous energy (and therefore water, for cooling) consumption of the AI tools. I also think that this kind of more bricht effect could have been reached by either Photoshop tools or the NIK collection plugin (either the free version from Google from 2015 or the updated NIK Collection 8 from DxO (for more than 100 dollars). I ofen use the Google NIK Collection (version 1.2.11) on my photos, not so often on my Bryce (or Vue) renders, because I like to try and get the best result from the original software. Unfortunately, David B is only 'listening in' now and again, I think. He moved on from Bryce to more modern software that helps him create content, if I remember correctly..
Krikerd, great idea to try and recreate a beautiful picture. You have done a good job on this, though I think maybe a modified sky might get some of that great yellow colour on the salt flat that is in the original. But I doubt whether I would get so close as you have come!
Thanks folks, you are too kind. I'm about as out of practice with graphics as I am with singing
. Horo your images never fail to amaze.
