    Thank you Bunyip02.

The terrain is from Gritstone Hills with a material from High Resolution Terrains 1. The water is the ground plane with a material from High Resolution Terrains 4. Sky and ambient light by the ErnieClouds HDRI (free as Angular Map on my website horo.ch > Raytracing > Resources > HDRI) and the key light by the sun.

Oops, have I been away for the forum for so long? Many new entries.

NGartplay, Nullcasting, Past as Future, thank you.

The frozen waterfall is fantastic, mermaid010. And beautiful view of the Luxoffice. Nice POV too. Good result with the HDRI as heightmap. Funny how many possibilities there are for creating heightmaps.

Another waterfall and yours is also great, Nullcasting. Like a scene from a fairy tale.

The abstract with the GWL looks like some alien mask, Horo, very nice. The building makes me think of kind of a big organ. The landscape with grass and trees is very realistic, wonderful. And the canyon landscape is very well done. Beautiful water or reflections in the water in the ‘fjord’ scene.

Wow, your submarine really is stranded, Teobaldo, good scene, wonderful ground texture. And the digital dimension must come from the matrix, I guess.

Base on an example by Geekatplay, I created a modification of an earlier city ruins render, by adding some light rays in postwork. And I modified my three cubes scene again. Did that some days ago and forgot what I changed, but I think at least there was a flattened sphere around the cubes. The third render is one based on some elements I got from DAZ, including the Gallimimus dino in a medieval sewer and added a bass. I kept most of the textures as coming over from DAZ, but changed the water texture and I added lights in the lights, if you understand what I mean. I also added an additional light to bring out the Gallimimus a bit more.

    Nicely done Horo

Hansmar, you've been busy.  Wonderful work on the ruins.  So much detail.  Wild results on the abstract.  Those are the colors I grew up with.  Green kitchen appliances and green wool carpet.  Dinosaur being chased by a fish is funny.

I'm in love with the material on the second abstract.  You all see me use it all the time.  I have searched for similar materials to give the same detail but nothing looks as rich as this.  Why?  It's full of detail and it's bright without out being jarring.  I liked the first mat for the way that it flows but it doesn't come close.  Why does the 2nd mat have so much life to it?  Anyone know of a similar material that adds lots of organic detailing?  I'm not into angles but I'm open.

Hansmar - thanks, three outstanding renders, I like the addition of the light rays despite postwork in the ruin render.

NGartplay - two beautiful renders, the 1st is very colorful and the 2nd, what can I say, I also use this material a lot, but I don't know where I got it from, It's in my fav abstract mats, I love it.

Hansmar - thank you. Three great scenes, the ruin looks very good but not actually inviting. The abstract looks nice and the dino in the sewer is also excellent.

NGartplay - thank you. Two great abstracts, the first is very colourful and high contrast, the second somewhat more peaceful but with some transparency and nice patterns. I do not know any material preset that can do this.

The tower at left is Organodron City by Herminio Nieves with my own materials, at right of it an instance. In the background two self made terrains with a material from "Vegetation". The water is the ground plane with my material. Sky and ambient light by the "HeavyClouds" HDRI from "HDRI Enhanced Skies" (both available at Daz 3D) and the key light by the sun. Two fantastic city towers off a coast.

Impressive model, Horo.  I like the addition of the rocket on the launching pad.

The material is in Metals/Fantastic Metals/Metallica Karanta 12.  I always thought it was Daz3D's but I don't think so now.  Another favorite is in Metals/Bright/Vines 2, but it needs a lot of lights, unlike the first metal.  I have 3 lights in the black image using Vines 2 and it's still pitch black.

NGartplay - thank you. Checking the material library I see that I miss two: "FantasticMetals" and "Spiders Fire Truck". These did not come with Bryce, you must have bought them.

Happy Holidays to all Bryce forum visitors and contributors. Best wishes for 2026, stay safe.

Beautiful model and scene, Horo, I love how you changed the materials and added the rocket. Lovely greeting card.

Happy Holidays and Best wishes to you and all Bryce for a wonderful 2026

NGartplay – the night time chrome render is fantastic, I’ll check if I have these materials.

I used a file by Hubert, changed the materials, sky color and camera position.

Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for 2026 to all of you.

Horo: Thank you for your nice Season's Greeting.

Really great images here. I'm sorry that I can't appreciate every single picture accordingly.

I added a few WIP images. The desk lamp is created entirely with Bryce. Hope I have the time soon to upload it as a free model.

Electro-Elvis - thank you. Four great renders by you: Mila in front of the piano looks very nice, Bonny shows an interesting pose, Live on Mars looks great with the rover, the City Scape looks good with the haze in the distance and the Desklamp is an excellent and well done model.

Excellent landscape Horo.  The water has the perfect scale making this look real.  Thank you for the holiday greeting.

mermaid, that's the material!  Looks wonderful on your abstract.  It stretches and flows, love it.

Elvis, wow, you've been creative.  Perfect lighting in all of them.  I'm especially drawn to the middle one.  Love the ground material.

Thanks Horo, Electro-Elvis, and NGartplay and ed3D

Electro-Elvis -  awesome variety of renders, nice lighting in all of them, the City space with the  haze my fav.

  • mermaid010: I like your Martian-like landscape; it looks desolate. The abstract one seems like a mix between wood and organic elements.

Horo: Your landscape looks great, as always. The towers in the water are a delight to behold (and the Buck Rogers-style rocket too). Thanks for the greetings.

Hansmar: I thought your ruins were fantastic; I've wanted to do something like that for a while. The abstract one is cool. The dinosaur with the fish in the cellar looks good.

    NGartplay: Your abstracts are great.

Electro-Elvis: Your renders are very good, and I thought the lamp was excellent.

    Teobaldo - thank you.

The Droplets are from Installed < Misc with some Diffuse colour and Transparency with Refraction 70 (makes the inner droplets). The ground plane has also Transparency but with Refraction 134 (water). Light an background by the "PfynPool2" HDRI from Environments - Beneath the Waves. No additional light. Rendered with Depth of Field. A part of a forest depicted within double droplets.

NGartplay – I checked my metals library, I have FantasticMetals2 and don’t have any of the materials you have. It was a freebie from ShareCG. So I still don't know from where I got that material.

The terrain was self made and three copies in the background all with a material assembled from High Resolution Terrains 1 and High Resolution Terrains 2. The water is a 2D-Face with my water material. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from High Resolution Terrains 4 and the key light by the sun. A hilly landscape with groundwater lakes.

Horo, NGartplay, ed3D, mermaid010, Teobaldo: Thany you.

Horo: Once again, a stunning landscape. I particularly appreciate the colour of the water and that narrow strip between the water and the shore.

I tried to create more realistic-looking Bryce trees. The horse is a figure from Daz3D.
