Thank you both. Posing is always the biggest challenge of these story images, it seems.

The characters are superbly posed, and the point of view is great, congratulations @Barbult.

Thank you, Other-Richard. The camera view was discovered by accident while moving around in perspective view to refine poses. I liked it as soon as I saw it. You got your whiskers back, too.

I love Other-Richard's sleeping expression there!

Whiskers are much appreciated. It appears I snore when as a cat as well as when human. Tracy always complained that Albert (my avatar) always snored in the gaps between my snores so she was never free of it. Regards, Richard

That is pretty cat-like activity. Waiting patiently until later, rather than trying more of the same with lourder meows, possibly less so.

    Now We're in Paris!

Other-Richard: Richard, look! It's the Eiffel Tower!
Richard Haseltine: Wow! Now we are in Paris! Jack, Ron, we need to go check it out right now. Let's go.
Jack: You boys run off and do your Catalympics thing - or whatever. I think Ron and I will just sit here and have some more wine.
Ron: Sounds like a great plan to me. But don't be gone too long, guys. When you come back, we might be a bit intoxicated and need your help to find our way back to the hotel.

    We're Free!

Other-Richard: We're free to do our thing. No more supervision by humans. Come on, Richard, let's go check out Paris.
Richard: Freedom feels good. I'm right behind you.
Ron: At last, we're free, Jack. No more cat babysitting for the next few hours.
Jack: I can only wonder what mischief they will get into. Hey, but not our problem for now. Let's order another bottle.

I love the running poses on the two Richards.

    Yeah let's get another bottle.

I've never seen them so excited, and at least they're getting some practice in!

They are definitely having a good time in Paris. (all 4 of them).

    Is Paris ready for this?

  • barbultbarbult Posts: 27,500
Ready or not, the Richards are there.

I can't recall if Richard I  visited Paris, would seem quite likely on his way to a Crusade.

    Bigger Than I Thought

Other-Richard: Wow, that's a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I can't even see the top. It's all blurry way up there in the clouds.
Richard: Yeah, I don't think we can use this for the Catalympics Climbing Competition after all. Le't see what else we can come up with.

Could it be used for the Catalympics Base Jumping event, Bungee Jumping event or Kite Flying event instead?

Failing that, 'The sprint race through the restaurant while holding a loin chop in your mouth and being chased by an irate waiter' event on the upper level.

    Regards

    Other Richard

I think many possibilities have just opened up for Barbult, including the 'Sprint race through a restaurant holding an article of meat or underwear while being chased by a staff member waving a cleaver.' event. Extra points for ricochets of pictures or customers. Can't get more exciting than that! Regards, Other Richard.

How would they get up to the restaurant? Is there a restaurant in the Eiffel Tower? Never mind. Reality is never an important concern in this thread.

I think there are lifts - angled in the bottom part of the leg and a straight up one from the lower platform to the top 2 floors. Iirc there is a restaurant. Or was one in 1998. ETA: according to Google AI there are two, one on each of the first and second floors. There are buffets on the esplanade floor (the one at the top of the angled lifts)

Aren't cats notorious for climbing things, only to discover they can't climb back down again?  :-P

Complete myth promulgated by people with ladders and red vehicles who want someone to blame for getting their ladders stuck in tree branches. Nothing to see here. Regards, Richard

There was bungee jumping from the Eiffel Tower in An American Werewolf in Paris, for what it's worth.

Wow. I'm amazed that there is such a thing in the store.
