Oh, did I misread that? surprisewink
I think I should have titled that render "Fun with Funnels" or "Funnel Fun".  I do like alliteration
background implies that the Guinness Book of Records may be standing by to see if you make it through. Best of luck to you, Richard, but it looks impossible from here.

Crowds are gathering and there's a sense of excitement here which we haven't seen since 'Ron Obvious' attempted to jump accross the English Channel , which would have beaten his previous best of eleven feet and six inches. ( Monty Python 'The First Man to Jump the Channel' )

    Grandbaby Richard

Lola's mother treats Richard as if he were her grandbaby. When Lola and Richard come to visit, Lola's mom puts Richard in a baby crib filled with stuffed animals. He finds the situation a little unsettling.

    Ah, but he's so cute!

It just occurred to me, maybe those crib slats remind him of when he was in jail. He might be experiencing PTSD.

The question is always "Are they soft enough to be stamped into a comfortable bed?" I think a lot of those are a bit too well-padded to yield. Also, I may have picked up a slight thing about bars during my previous adventures.

I think you'll have to shove them all to one side or throw them overboard. Throwing them overboard might make Grandma mad, though. She spent a lot of money on all those stuffed animals for you, I bet.

Close your eyes; you won't see the bars. Problem solved!

In a couple days you and Lola will probably go back home and leave the animals and bars behind. You can tough it out for a couple days.

Hmm, it certainly might not be a good diea to bring up the episodes invovlng bars with Grandma, she might be less than impressed.

Oh, so you and Lola never told her where you met!

    Nap Time

Richard Haseltine: I just kicked a few of these stuffed animals out of the way and now I have a nice nap spot. I love it when Grandma scratches me behind my ears. It is so relaxing. Zzzzzzzzzz...

[Thanks to "Other-Richard" for the sleeping cat pose.]

    A Swinging Good Time

Richard got bored with stuffed animals, and he heard laughter next door. He hopped out of the crib and went out to play with the boy next door. I hope Richard doesn't suffer from motion sickness on that tree swing.

[OK, these are not exciting stories. While waiting for inspiration, I'm playing with things I've purchased and haven't used yet. I'm following my often repeated motto: "Any render with Richard Haseltine is better than a render without Richard Haseltine." smiley]

Do my legs look extra skinny there?

Your fur is extra hard to see in Filament. I tried my best.

I wondered is that was it, I haven't used Filament that much (and didn't realise how skinny I was under the fluff).

Have you ever given a cat a bath? They look scrawny with their fur all soaked down. That reminds me. "You" had a nice bubble bath after the solvent incident at Ron's apartment.

When we made the mistake of washing our Albert (my avatar cat) the 16lb thug and tormenter of Dobermans turned into a skinny cat front and back end with a soccer ball between. He was still able to tear my skin through chrome leather welding gauntlets just by PUSHING to get free. That was the first and last time we bathed him. Regards, Richard.

See other Richard's answer re cat bathing. Though some of them have come in pretty sliicked down from rain.

"Other-Richard" told me in PM that my nickname for him was OK to use, so from now on, I affectionately continue to refer to him by that name. I'm pleased to see it caught on with others, too. :)

My dog Bandit had a lot of "fringe." You can see the tuft of hair (fringe) coming out of his chest.

He had a large amount of fringe coming out the back of his legs, and his rump.

He looked so skinny when he was wet. He didn't mind taking a bath.

He didn't need many baths because I kept him mostly inside or away from stinky stuff.

I had him for 17 years. He was 9 years old when this photo was taken.

17 years is a good long dog life. I see those fur fringes on him.

That is a good lifespan for a dog.  Our little dog, Andrew, is 15 years and 4 months.  However, we will be lucky if he reaches 16.

And now we return to Richard in the funnel...

Jack walks into the Daz+ lab and sees Richard Haseltine upside down, head first, in the funnel.

Jack: Richard, what the heck???!!! This is the Daz+ lab where we crank out black rooms by the dozen. What are you doing in here? And why on earth are you in the funnel?
Richard: Get me out of here! It's all barbult's fault. I said fun; she heard funnel.
Jack: If I turn the funnel upside down and shake it vigorously, gravity should free you...Huh, you're stuck tight.

Image later. The forum won't upload anything for me now. crying I've tried multiple times. It seems to be dead again. They must have fixed something. The image uploads in a couple seconds now.

Working for me, but with all the Cloudflare gateway errors I wouldn't be surprised if the upload issue had resurfaced as well. (Lest anyone get their hopes up I should point out that the image si from an older version of the forums, not a sneak peek at a newer iteration.)

    Edit: Fixed for now.
It still won't upload the image for me. It just says Uploading forever. The image is the normal size I render of you (2000 by 1500) and is under 2 MB in file size. These images normally upload in a few seconds. I'll have to try another day. Hopefully Daz will fix the forum again. The Gateway Errors are preventing me from even reading messages most of the time.

You will have to stay in the funnel a little longer, I guess. At least both ends are open so you can breathe. smiley

    Blow Hard

Jack: Maybe if I blow in the little end, you'll pop out the big end...Nope. My mouth isn't big enough to make enough wind force. We need someone else. Maybe Rob.
