does 'indeed' and 'indubitably' mean the same thing, or the connotations different?

My room has both southern and western exposure so in the afternoon it gets the brunt of sunlight for most of the day.  Air conditioner is set to the mid 60s, room temp is already in the upper 70s.

More seasonable temps returning by the middle of next week.

indubitably refers to a thing/situation beyond dispute, indeed is used to agree with or be agreeable to a thing/situation so think meaning differs there

...guess the reminder bots melted in the heat while I was gone.

room finally cool enough for sleeping.

I know most here are not into sports, but have to mention this score for footy: Croatia: 10 San Marino: 0 in a European "Friendly" tournament (kind of a warmup for the Euro and World Cup).  Two Croatian players scored "hat tricks" (3 goals). Very unusual in a sport where a score of 3 - 0 is considered a "royal thumping" and most matches can end in a 0 - 0 draw.

....got an AC and have it going but cannot run the workstation at the same time without tripping a breaker. At least I will be able to sleep but no 3D work until Wednesday when it drops back into the 70s.

I had to add another breaker and run a seperate power line to my study just for my computers. I have (stands up to count) 60 power outlets built into the room, with eight of them wired directly to two huge USPs. We have power failures every time it rains.

It wasn't too bad. I did the work when I added solar panels to my roof, they are usually enough to run my computers. But the batteries take up a bit of space...

..well, actually "officially" topped 100° here yesterday.  Was 111° in the hood with a "real feel" of 124° due to somewhat high humidity and pretty much calm wind conditions

    ...felt like it too.

Sorry about the long absence, been busy doin tons of other things and just.. forgot.. blushblush

Updates: four phone interviews, all pretty much washes.  The Dell interview for a test engineer every other comment was "but won't you get bored and leave?", the recruiter said they told her I was overqualified.. meh. One was for a local point-of-sle company that turned out really needed a database and Windows .NET guru.  The third one was for a job out on the East Coast but it turns out the company was located over 10 miles from the nearest bus stop - end of that one.  The last one was for a chip company out near Lake Travis and about 2 miles from the nearestbus stop and they needed an electrical engineer, not a software guy.

Sent out six resume's yesterday, a sudden flood of openings for developers.  A nice talk today with a recruiter in San Antonio who sent my resume' over to a medical device company in need of a jack-of-alll-trades embedded guy.. the bus runs to/from San Antonio early and late and is only $12 round trip, so I'd just commute it for now.  That one is contract-to-hire.

There's a job fair Thursday, if I can find a way to print out 6 copies of my resume' I'm going to go.  Never hurts to try! laugh

As the money dwindles and I prepare to start selling things, I'm considering fallback options.  I can try to get a simple, basic cashier/clerk kind of job and go back to school and get my degress in computer science, or start my own mobie games development company and leverage that into a mobile apps job.  Worst-case I sell this laptop for a pile of cash, have one last blow-out night, then go set fire to the nearest IRS office  devil Based on my research that's bout 10 years of free food, medical care, and housing at Club Fed where I can retrain myself as a car repair technician (heh).

Nothing much going on otherwise.. get up, breakfast, check Dice, Monster, and Craigslist.. send out resume's, respond to email, teach myself Python programming.. catch up on my reading.. just have to keep pushing and keep my attitude positive and deal with things day-by-day.Thankfully my Walmart order arrived happy and intact and I am the owner of over 18 packages of soup in 5 different varities! surprise

I'll try to remember to check in more often, don't want folks to think I've dropped down dead (lol)!!  I can actually walk a fair distance now as well, at least when it's not raining...

I hope everyone is doing well!! laugh

...when I get the "overqualified" reply, In my mind I want to get up and punch the interviewer in the face. It's just a bloody excuse to duck the fact that they don't want ot hire me because of my age.

I have people telling me to forget getting hired and to start a business of my own instead.  I've tried that route before years ago, ended up working more for the taxman than for myself (and had less free time than I did in my previous job).  Besides, I am terrible at sales.

This is why I am pushing for SS Dis/Retirement instead. Yeah it's no luxury lifestyle, but it should keep a roof over my head and food in the pantry.  Then I can maybe do some book covers and illustration work for spending money on the side without having to file all the bloody self employment paperwork.

Excellent that you are able to get around again. Hoping that one of those leads come through.  Supposedly Portland is growing as a tech centre and fertile ground for startups. Good transit and good beer here. You could probably get a reduced fare card like I have so you can shoo the youngsters out of the front seats.

For where I've move to, it's ABC anywhere but California) lol!  Right now all I see in the Portland area is at Intel, and it's all contracts with no relocation pay.. so that's kind out for for me, for now.

It's ten years before I can retire on full SS, so that's not an option.. sure wish it was. indecision

Yep,  get the feeling they were really looking for some zealous young punk who would work lots of overtime and weekends.. which isn't an issue for me, I told 'em so but they were still "you're going to be bored".  Feh.  I'm starting to feel that ageism thing coming on, hateful hateful hateful.

I've actually started my own game development company TWICE!   Am I a slow learner or what?  But I figure it would be a very short-term thing, like a year or so, before I could jump back into working for one of the local mobile game companies here in Austin unless I put out a title that sells millions of copies (heh).  Hard work yeah, the tax thing sucks, but  the exit strategy would be to get bought out.

We'll see how things go.  Just have to keep pushing on...
