The Easy Geometry Hider https://www.daz3d.com/easy-geometry-hider is an instabuy for me. I'm constantly messing about with Geometry Editor and this looks like it will make the job easier. Fingers crossed!

Just keep in mind that scripts for DS 4 have a good chance of not working in DS 2025. They would require an update from the vendor, which may or may not happen and may of may not be a free update.

Yes, that's why I have been avoiding purchasing any scripts/plugins for a while, and even more so now. I would guess that maybe some might be updated for free, but I would think most vendors will feel a need to be compensated for the time required, especially on more complex scripts and plugins.

I've already decided to stick with 4.24 as I use so many scripts and plugins on a daily basis that there's no chance they'll all get updated.

I have the alpha installed and have tried it a bit, but so many things I use daily are not working (scripts and plugins), I'm sticking to 4.24 for daily work now, too. I hope to someday be able to use DS 2025, though.

I'm glad you guys mentioned it, as the DS 2025 release completely slipped my mind since it came out right when I was wrapping up development. And perhaps unsurprisingly, the scripts had some errors. But there were only a handful of changes needed to get them working, so I've already submitted the updated files for review. If anything else changes/breaks in between alpha and final 2025 release, I do intend on fixing those as well. After all, probably not a lot of demand for broken stuff.

That said, unfortunately at the moment only DS 4.24 works since I didn't properly set a minimum supported version, and DS 2025 doesn't work due to the errors. But everything from 4.12+ should work once the update is approved. Sorry all for any inconvenience.

On today's sale page (Memorial Weekend Sale) There is a filatoon character off to the right.  I don't see her or her hair or clothing in today's new items.
What is her hair and her dress / top?
    Thanks!

I would love to appreciate Epic HDRI Cyberpunk Ruins, but as I looked closer, the backgrounds look awfully AI generated. I appreciate that there's work in turning them into HDRIs, so it's not about complaining about a PA taking shortcuts, but the quality of those generated images is poor (and straight from some distorted dream arcitectual logic-wise). I really liked some of that PA's older assets (and 8-point light tutorial is gold, especially compared to some other tutorials), but it seems that recently, they turned to AI for their backgrounds (noticed at least in some products) which saddens me. Also, quality aside, for many reasons, I will not use anything that utilizes genAI (as much as I can spot it, of course; from what I've seen on the net, people are often sneaky with their genAI and don't disclose it or have been misled too), so I guess I'll be giving this PA a general pass from now on.

joanna Thanks for sharing that. I wasn't interested in this one and barely glanced at it, but yeah, it does look that way after taking a peek. Bummer. I usually like their sets and got a few recent ones during the March Madness sale too, but now have to give them a general pass too as I also prefer to avoid genAI stuff.

bit intrigued they mention an edge

Even I can create seamless spherical textures with or without using Ai

spoiler, in Gimp you just offset it by 50% and play with the clone and healing brushes

you might get a bit of a starfish shape top and bottom but blurring obscures that

if keen, poly painting on a huge subdivided sphere in Zbrush also works

    https://www.daz3d.com/fg-packing-warehouse

needs a pallet of flat boxes, it has the tape guns and roller belt but all the boxes are already taped up

so unless they are just lifting boxes off of shelves, giving them a roll while waving their tape guns around then stacking them up

not a lot of packing going on there

ideally a flat box with a morph or rigging  to fold it into an open box ready to fill

bubble wrap, packing peanuts etc too

As far as I can tell all the props are static (no morphs in file list). So the lifts do not lift sao they don't wearout or need maintenance.

I think this is a coffee break or after work scene. laugh

reminds me too much of my former job to want to buy it wink

we had motorised tape machines though that were more trouble than they were worth as well as the guns, stacking pallets of boxes of 48 meat pies with cardboard support strips inbetween inner sheets all day gets achy fast,

I haven't bought this one (no need for it) but all my other FG sets have static props, so I  would wager this would be similar.

...separate topic, but what nicely done antlers today! Am I the only one who immediately wondered how much fuss it would be to get them on the bunnies to create a jackalope?

I was mostly commenting on the lack of what one could do in that scene, certainly not work

I've really been slacking on my centaur renders, because there was a time when a comment like that might have referred to me.

Can centaur 9 use horse 3 materials and poses, the way centaur 3/8 were compatible with horse 2? I would assume so but I'd appreciate if someone can confirm.

I do like the DA deer (https://www.daz3d.com/deer-for-daz-horse-3) which is based on Horse3, so I can't imagine the Centaur won't be too.

Same, and I'm generally happy that DA keeps creating those useful and well-made critters! The deer's head does seem a bit off to me, it's rather smallish I think ...? But maybe the breed is just a bit different from what we see around here. I'm getting it anyways, I have the Hivewire deers which are excelllent, but I'm not so good with the LAMH fur and so much prefer dForce and fibre. Anyway, very nice! Now more variations, please! Baby Bambi and daddy and horns and antlers and ... (bops up and down on chair and spills cereals)

Roe Deer heads are small-ish relative to body size, if anything I'd have said it was at the longer end of the relative size spectrum but I'm not an expert by a long shot. I have seen a few in the wild, but never close-up. For some reason, they always run away.

    Richard

It's probably more the overall proportions I'm thinking now, but nevertheless, I'm really happy it's in the store, and I just got it (and somehow, a bunch of outlet stuff slipped into that cart as well ... blush)

Edit: We have a meadow on one side of our garden, and it's like a roe deer nursery every year. So I see quite a lot of them - especially when they're on their weekly excursion into our garden, to check out the new delicious plants there! But I don't have the heart to shoo them, they're just too cute, and have it hard enough as is.

The centaur is kind of interesting, but I don't think the transition area from human skin to horse hair looks very good.

No interest in the new skinny white woman with huge breasts.

    Sounds amazing. You're very lucky.

As our garden is trapped between a dual carriageway and the old road the dual carriageway replaced, it's not the easiest place for land based wildlife to get to. We currently have Skylarks nesting in the garden, so we don't go through the upper wildlife area much. We have seen a Black Panther from the garden twice in 20 years and once in the garden (very timid, once it realised it had been seen, it ran), but not since the hedges became thicker. But Roe Deer, that would be a rare privilige. Not sure we even have Muntjack Deer in the garden even though the area has lots you can see around dawn.

    Richard

Round our way we do have a couple of real Leopard size Black Panthers living wild. Their normal range is about 100 square miles in their optimum habitat, so we're not likely to see them often even if the range is the same. Given the amount of habitation in this part of Kent I'd expect the range to be larger. Plenty of Deer, rabbits, pets and sheep to live off.

It's not as useful as you might think. Nothing really new, and I have to rebuild half my toolbox.

That's not to say I didn't buy a heap of stuff though. So here's Van Helsing with a horse for a butt:

(Yes, while I have a lot of toolbox to rebuild, I've already got a draft version of a clone that will let me transfer over stuff I already had for the G8 centaur. I've had a Horse 2 to Horse 3 shape sitting around pretty much since the Horse 3 release that I could use as a starting point).

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself; one can still be true to the art of the horse butt without having to epitomise it.

Inspiring work as usual, @Matt_Castle. I wonder if Esid/FenixPhoenix would've nailed that skin transition better, and the tail looks like Horse 3 James Brown's perm. Design Anvil's deer is glorious! The FilaToon textures may convince me to take Horse 3 out of mothballs.

I'm not entirely sure why, but something about this turn of phrase cracked me up.

Thank you for always bringing a laugh. I was having a rough day and needed one. :)
