Thanks for that. I just saw some other dForce thread ressurected as well with what looks like in-depth tutorials, so I'll definitely have to do some learning in the future. It seems like a powerful utility, and while Archmage makes it easier to use, I'm still missing a lot :)
It looks very nice: the contrast between the blue skin and the yellow/orange portal make the character 'pop out' (not sure it's the correct term) of the picture.
A couple of other items were used for the first time, but most were sitting in my library for a long time.
It started with the free 'Maid from Mars' poses and as I have spent some time reading Percy Jackson's books recently, my mind jumped from Mars to Ares, and from Ares to Olympia, so she was picked first. I thought about using the Classic Barbarian himself instead of Ivar 9, but as far as I can see, his height is the standard Genesis 9 height and I'm not sure it would have worked with Olympia 9 who's height is close to G8F height, so I ended with Ivar 9.
I also wanted to check how Wood Modules would look and they felt like the perfect foreground to go along the Island Castle (which was a bi-weekly freebie a couple of month ago I think) to create a 'they are walking at the shore of a lake with a castle in the middle' scene.
I tested various outfits for Olympia, and ended with the Siren of Snakes outfit because on top of looking very nice (as the other ones I tested though) its skirt is also hidding that the whole pose feels unbalanced by hiding her legs (they are still nicely done poses which feel faithful to the original painting by Frazetta) and once chosen, I went all in with gold makeup and nail polish
Not a new item, but a fair warning regarding the barbarian outfit worn by Ivar: most of the items were loaded with viewport SubD set to 4, which is not useful, so beware if you're using it, it could be a good idea to check every item and lower the viewport SubD level to 1 or 2 while keeping, if you have enough VRAM, render SubD at 4.
I don't know what they are both looking at: I tried various things, but didn't find a creature and a framing of the scene that felt right, so it could be a dragon a saber tooth, or worse, the Monthy Pythons' rabbit.
I got CJ Cassia (G8F) and G8F Fairy outfit for Karyssa 8. Obviously, fairies that have dragonfly wings will fly and cavort over water... USC2 and USXT landscape.

Quoting an expert, 'it's not flying, it's falling with style'
Now the big question: how easy it is to swim with dragonfly wings soaked with water?
Hmm. That might be a fun one to investigate. Not sure I have any applicable content that would fall within the remit of the thread though. Oh maybe.. as Cassia & the clothing did, it should do again provided I take less than 7 weeks. I will think on it. Regards, Richard.
As a simple equation of body mass, succubi should not try to keep up with centaurs at the pub.
I decided to catastrophically abuse Collection of High Heels for Genesis 9 for the Daz+ Inspiration Contest. And I wasn't content with limiting it to one set, they were all getting misused.
Most (but not all) other assets are listed on the Gallery Page.
This started out as a render of Mateo 9 Mountain Man HD from my purchase in Dec 2024 (I am that far behind), but I have used products bought before and just recently to put this render together.
Because he is on the hefty side, I ran into some challenges. By the time I was done I found I actually cared for him more that Mateo 9 HD.

I did a handful of Dune-inspired renders to accompany a trailer-style soundtrack I produced for a music challenge.
I ended up getting RawArt's Wyrm World for this (though in one scene I used Sixus1 Media's Earth Wyrm) and helpfully found it waiting for me in the Outlet store. I also tried out a very nice P3D Sam as the base for a young Paul. I'm sure I used some other new stuff, but no idea which anymore. I bought plenty last month...

Ooooh neat! from one composer to another, that is a nice track!

Thank you so much! If you have your work online, feel free to share a link. I always enjoy having a listen.
And if you haven't tried working on your compositions alongside your DAZ adventures, I highly recommend it. They feed off each other and inspire one another and really open up a whole new level of possibilties.
One might think "well gosh, what's the point of it with a spotlight obviously in the picture?" -- well, the spotlight caused the broom handle to cast a shadow on her face that made it look like she very badly needed to visit a dentist. Added the wearable lights and BAM, no more issue!
Nothing else in the pic is new.
(No particular story. It's just been a rough few days, so I thought I'd have a little art therapy and give Grace an Elphaba moment, courtesy of the Wicked soundtrack I've been looping on my mp3 player for the last two days. She's a theater nerd, so I figured she wouldn't mind.)
Will/Oso remarked on Discord about whether the hole on the back of today's Eve Christmas Bodysuit could be made to make more sense by putting it on a tailed character. And I'd kind of been wondering the same, so I took a shot at it (albeit while retexturing it into a swimsuit).
I've also attached the custom displacement map I used to give the seams more shape. (I used it with settings of Strength 0.5, Displacement range of -0.5/0.5 and SubD 2).
Testing Digital Touch's Melina character, and the Strike Back outfit + Chungdan's Wedge boots, my first G8 render in a while! hair is Side Bob by Linday
It's been a long time since I constructed anything resembling a scene. It's probably not wise to even consider how much stuff I have bought in that span of time, which has barely been used.
And numerous shaping items that I picked up in yesterday's "top 200 figures" sale, which aren't obvious enough in this render to mention them specifically.

RGcincy's thread is great to read

The end result looks nice :)

I forgot to list it, but Face To Face Autopose Arms For Genesis 9 was useful to get Olympia's hand close to Ivar's shoulder before finetuning her pose.
All items bought from Daz sould be linked at the gallery, Together:

At worse, there is always the possibility to share the result of your investigation in the other thread, Render your buys! ALL TIME Challenges :)

A render I made a few days ago, I actually bought something because I needed it for this render:
Kathryn "Kitty" Rau in "Kitty Won't Go Back"
That came out great!
A quick render of PN Renado with Uncanny Valet's Vadim skin and Angelus Hair, a prop from Borgia hall, and the Legend outfit.
@Elor and @barbult, thank you both very much. It has been a crazy, scary weekend and you both helped perk me up.
I really like this one! The construction, pose and expression are really great.
I bought a bunch of great stuff recently. Here's M3D's Chuck, wearing a Homemade Heroes outfit by Cybertenko.
Thank you paulawp (marahzen). I appreciate the compliments I have received for this render. Sometimes it all comes together.

A render using the recent Zeddicus shape deal:
The Delightful Dana Delacruz in "Agent DeDe"
Esra/Esra Elder, but I've aged him up. My intention was to make him look early-to-mid 20es.
Also, Agent Jones outfit, boots from the Obsidian outfit, Chasing Summer outfit, plus some stuff I already had
Hylas That's some great aging trick! Love the outfit, hair and lighting combo in the second render - he looks like a great story character.
A render using some of the stuff from the sales and calender:
Really nice heist image, FJM1977! :)
Thank you @Joanna!
It turned out really good, almost store promo quality imo
