@elor if that is what you do when you are 'under the weather' I am blown away. I think your render is amazing and after reading what you did on the gallery, I am even more so.
And you gave me a real reason to try to learn Blender again. I need it for my Macs and for the issue you highlighted. I am finding more clothes without morphs in tricky spots, like elbows and knees after simulating.
dForce Archmage. My relationship with dForce is at best difficult, at worst almost non-existent, so even though I bought this one back in June, it took me a while to get around to actually trying it. It's a complex tool, but I love how it got broken down to what you need at the time. Auto-creating preset wind nodes parented to the camera is great, because I pick the preset from the options which gives me an idea what the numbers do (vs. guessing how much wind is too much for what I want), and with the nodes being parented to a camera, it feels much easier to adjust their location. Definitely a tool that makes me want to experiment with dForce more and properly learn it.
Stellar render, if I'm allowed to say so
And I concur with your opinion about dForce Archmage: it makes using dForce so much easier, and while I have yet to play with wind nodes, it's very useful when you have to simulate items requiring different simulation presets. In the case of my render, I did three simulations: the clothes, then the jewelry and at the end the hairs and setting each of them was very simple (I have created a preset for Fabiana's jewlery, using one of the presets she included with them).
Thank you.
You're way ahead of me in dForce, because I have very little clue about "simulation settings," and defenitely not enough to be playing around with them. But I agree that the Archmage makes it much easier to control things in the scene and simulation. Like making sure things don't simulate when you don't want to. I definitely to play with it more. And dForce.
Speaking of which... Any good YT videos or other tutorials to wrap my head around dForce and simulation?
Denise HD for G9 - not much to say here except for "she's nice."
dforce Saloon Dress for G9 - I like it, but it feels a pain to simulate, maybe because of multiple layers. Also, for this pose, boots tried to simulate too and ended up being stretched like from some horror movie, so I removed them for the simulation time. Maybe someone else will have better luck with it.
Waterfall Hair for G9 - I haven't really played much with it for this image, but I like it.
A Wraith Named Steve for G8 - I'm pleasantly surprised that applying poses to him was so easy, I expected issues with him being only half a human, but there were none.
Royal Mage Outfit for G9 - simulated nicely, and had various material zones that made applying shaders (not available in the store anymore) easy; though the chains on the sides were done with cutout opacity, so those got lost.
Click N' Render - Spooky Edition - love the lights, but they seemed to be a pain to work with, perhaps because they're so sharp and strong. But definitely worth the effort.
PTF Troublemaker Poses for G9 - I like them. They feel dynamic, and I could adjust the pose easily to what I needed.
One last caress to your favorite toy.....it's time to grow up....
Lovely render!
(psst... young lady... keep the giraffe. I'm closing in on 50 and still sleep with the stuffed dog my grandmother gave me when I was 3. You don't have to sacrifice the things you love just because you made another trip around the sun!)
Love seeing all the wonderful renders. Thank you so much for sharing. Please keep on rendering and sharing!
I thought I didn't buy all that much during the past month, but my product library says otherwise. Here's a render with Oshun, Phx Wally tweaked, and Z tender love couple poses that I got this past week, and the Whitewave Beach bundle I picked up a month ago.

My son still has a soft bunny that I bought when he was in hospital during 4th grade for a month. The nursing sisters dressed the bunny in newborn outfit and a surgical cap and she became 'Nurse Rachel' who stayed with him during the nights and days I couldn't drive across England. Nurse Rachel was passed on to his daughter who spent her first month of life admitted twice to a PICU due to two hits of the flu her older siblings brought home from school. His Steiff teddy bear he was given when he was born, is still around too. And he is over 47 now.
I thought they'd be great to use with Lady Littlefox's Gumdrops, who I love to play with. I also used some poses from a freebie pose set I made for them - I shared them in the freebies section of the forum for anyone with Gumdrops in their runtime. I'll post these renders a little smaller. Click to enlarge.

Sorry for the late answer.
Thank you for your kind words :)
In order to clarify a bit, doing a 'studio' portrait instead of an outdoor one meant I could focus on just Mira and not on adding enough background figures to make the Street of Paris a street of Paris, or at least close enough to a real busy Parisian street (it's one of the most densily populated city in the world) or finding a way to render them in as little spot renders as possible.
If you want to learn Blender UI, Jay Versluis is explaining the basics, but it could also be useful to watch beginners' tutorial on the subject (I followed the famous donut's tutorial up until a bit after he started speaking about texturing, something I didn't care about that at the time) and then, it's mainly trying the various tools to see how they work and knowing if the change you want to make will be better done using one of the various brushes from the Sculpt mode (I'm mainly using Grab, Smoothing and Elastic Grab when working on clothes) or using Edit mode with Proportional editing active.
To fix poke-throughs around knees and elbows after a simulation, a weight mapped push modifier could be enough to do the job: if you have clothes by Mada, she set her semi-recent to recent ones with a weight mapped push modifier and you can see how to use them.
You're way ahead of me in dForce, because I have very little clue about "simulation settings," and defenitely not enough to be playing around with them. Inside Archmage, I'm mainly playing with the quality, the kind of simulation (from pose or not, using a timeline or not), and the various time related settings. The biggest time saver is the capability to save Simulation settings presets inside Archmage which in my case means having a very easy access to the preset from Fabiana's necklaces and belts products: I just have to scroll down the list of the simulation presets saved by Archmage, instead of searching for one of her products.
I remember watching a couple of videos explaining how to apply dForce on older products, using a weight map to control what will be simulated and what will not but I don't have one in mind about what each simulation settings would do. Likewise with the dForce settings from the Surface tab: I play with them a bit from time to time, but when I'm looking for informations, I'm reading this discussion:

Thanks for that. I just saw some other dForce thread ressurected as well with what looks like in-depth tutorials, so I'll definitely have to do some learning in the future. It seems like a powerful utility, and while Archmage makes it easier to use, I'm still missing a lot :)
New stuff (pretty much everything in the picture except for the outfit)
Smuggler's Alley - really nice set, works well out of the box. It's large, too.
Aria HD for G9 - not much to say, except for "I like her."
Orenda Texture Add-On - the texture set is nice, but the outfit itself (which is not new for me) requires a mention and a warning: it was a major pain in the backside to simulate anything dynamic with. The lose parts got caught on stuff, wouldn't drape properly on the ground. This might be a user (me) issue, but it was annoying with. I guess if you're not great with dForce to troubleshoot, be warned.
Luminous Veil Skins for G9 - one of those products that would definitely benefit from some even rudimentary documentation. Perhaps it's all neat and intuitive in the content library, but in the smart content, bulked together, it's not very intuitive what you should use and when and with what... As a result, sometimes using something seemingly caused no effect. Or caused too much of an unexpected effect. I like the product enough, buuuut... well, compared to FenixPhoenix and Esid who always describe every piece of their skins/other products, so it's easy to figure out and provide tips, this feels like something PA didn't care to be user-friendly.
VDB Portals - omg, the materials! I knew it was worth it when I got it, but the amount of materials allows for very distinct looks of the portals, and they scale in X, Y, and Z nicely, so you can make your round portal oval if you want. Love it!
This one features BlueJaunte's Inaru and FE's Half Up Ponytail hair that I got recently. The scene is lit with only the HDRI which I had quickly created, and which led me to share a simple HDRI preset pack in the freebies section. No postwork except for the watermark.
Matt, my first reaction was OMG 'Beans on Toast'! one of my favorite memories of England from the early 1970s and became a staple when I was short of cash. My second was how lovely the characters were in their posing, interactions and the realities of sharing a home and stretching pennies. The hair styles, clothes, and everything just looks so typical of that late teen/young adult and barely making it. Great job.
The guy is P3D' s Sam, with some tweaks and a material swap with Carter 9. Background I just grabbed to buy into Doorbuster discount is https://www.daz3d.com/hallway-nooks-grand, but the colours are pretty. Arm cloak thing . Pants are from this sprite set - I usually like the Sprite stuff, but the waist stitching on this makes them look a bit doll like. Shimuzu makes the best poses. (Alright best but tied with Faber Inc)
I want to say you should all go out and buy Veira with her fivehead, but also kinda wanna keep her for myself.
To some extent, this was done deliberately for meme potential on Discord.
Far too many people in the server's cooking channel being rude about the national delicacy that is beans on toast.
They obviously have not either tried it, or have too many memories of surviving on it during lean years before making it big. I loved the combination of fresh bread toasted, buttered with real butter, and those lovely beans. There are times that simple meals are just what you want and need. My flatmate, who has worked in the restuarant industry at varied levels, and I have traded favorite low-cost meals we have survived on during times when money was tight or we were just too tired to care about cooking. And I have watched him create a five-course meal from whatever he has found in the pantry and refrigerator from scratch.

That's just sad. I mean, personally I'm not fond of either beans OR toast, let alone together, but there's no call to yuck someone's yum. Just eat something else. More beans and toast for the rest of you... I'll be over here with my melted mozzerella and chocolate chip sandwich. (It's better than you'd think.)
Personally I like it though, with genuine soy sauce (Shyou).
It looks like 'Beans on Rice'? Another favorite around our place. Great when rolled into a flour tortilla with other items we have on hand. Add an egg on top with some soy sauce... Easy dinner meal.

I spent way too much money in the member sales. Big fan of PFA (Except for 'The Age' which is still causing a closed eye bug darnit) so was glad to pick up https://www.daz3d.com/pfa-veira-hd-for-genesis-9, who is marvelous, great face sculpt. Santa's Getting Ready
Bought this month: XI Village of Norway
This started out as a render of Mateo 9 Mountain Man HD from my purchase in Dec 2024 (I am that far behind), but I have used products bought before and just recently to put this render together.
Because he is on the hefty side, I ran into some challenges. By the time I was done I found I actually cared for him more that Mateo 9 HD.
I used:
https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-hnc25-mens-office-outfits-for-genesis-9 - it worked just fine with his figure and simulated like a dream.
https://www.daz3d.com/m3d-balding-hair-styles-for-genesis-9 - I used about three of the hair pieces and facial hair on him. And then covered his hair up with, https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-mi-everyday-construction-worker-for-genesis-9.
I found I didn't own a phone yet for G9, so I used https://www.daz3d.com/smart-phone-poses-and-prop-for-michael-8. It was fairly easy to move into his left hand and parent it.
The pose is actually a combination of three partial poses from https://www.daz3d.com/the-gentleman-poses.
The set is the newest item https://www.daz3d.com/overgrown-outpost-for-ministry-and-return-to-enchanted-forest which I bought because I love The Ministry.
I added some lights on the character from https://www.daz3d.com/subtle-portrait-lights-and-hdris to bring out Mateo's face more.
The render on my MacMini took over two hours and converged only 25%.
To all the PAs who created these products, thank you. I enjoyed working with them and the result.
