How does this work, the meter on my page is at 4, under it says additional savings 40%, I bought the Scott pro bundle when he came out, today I purchased the bikini from the rev up items and paid 5.38 for it, Now I am trying to purchase an FW item for 17.47 less the additional 40% makes it 10.78.  I did not get an additional 10% off for purchasing the bikini.  Is the addional 40% off the max and the only reason I have to purchae an item is to remain at that 40% + 40% ?  it doesn't add 10% extra?

    The max is -64% = -40% then -40% off of that.  (not %40 + %40)

...and no more than that (no additional 10% for more purchases)

Since you got Scott, your already maxed out for today, as I understand it

Has anyone actually "bought" two rev-up items today?  If so:

    • Did the meter go to 2?
    • If you now add a new Rev-up or featured Artist item to your Cart, does it show %40 then and additional %20 off?

i thought you get an extra 10 percent off with each rev up to 80 percent off? oh heres a tip apparently they have a set of portraits that are free (at least for platinum members?) just now. and i bought it .and it gave me a point even though it was  free LOL. fun. so just a quick tip for people. ;-).

That's not how the math works. It's 40% off the discounted price. Which was reduced 40%. So it's 64% off in total.

    I got this cool message

Exciting news! With your current 1 REV-UP you've already earned an extra 10% SAVINGS* on items in the Premier Artist Festival!

Ther is a base 40%, you can build up an extra 40%. If you bought the correct bundles before hand you already have the extra 40%, though to maintain it you still need to buy an item today or if your just starting out buty someting today to get an extra 10% tomorrow, on top of the 40% already given.

For what it's worth there is a free item in the sale today so you could get that 10% tomorrow for nothing, or maintain your 40% for nothing.

Thank you for the information. Not that I don't trust you, but can some one official please confirm that this is the case?

Also can someone tell me if what I am seeing (attached) is correct? The "Log in.." when I am already logged in is confusing. Am I at 4? Am I at a different level and the system isn't seeing me as logged in?

And, lastly, can someone correct the Featured Artist Pages? When you click on the link it is first showing all the items that are not eligible. Can't you just not show these items? I know the extremely tiny (and barely legible) text says "excludes PC+ items and new releases." before the link. But those items should not even show up if you are following the endorsed "On Sale" link.

Yes, the freebie does earn a rev up today, tomorrow, or Thursday (if you haven't already gotten one for that day).

The log in text seems to be part of the graphic, I have reported it.

The Featured Artist pages just go to the PA's store, rather than creating a separate category for each vendor with just the applicable items, which in the past has always resulted in errors (for example, they set up the category a few days in advance, so some items that were new at the time are no longer new when the category is acrive).

Whoops, 3dexchange is a new item, so I was wrong on that not getting a discount. (updated graphic in prev post)

The only thing not working per the banners are the discounts based on the things in the cart.

    Probably not:

" Are earned with New Featured or Still Featured purchases with a maximum of one REV-UP earned per day."

Yes, I've reported that the "In Cart Simultaneously" shouldn't be there -- you buy one item to get the rev up, then subsequent sales have the discount.

You can only get one rev up per day, but the qualifying items qualify for 3 days, so if you want more than one you can buy one today, one tomorrow, and one Thursday.

i don't have that discount anyway, I never bought Karen Page or Scott Summers.

    ...good one...

You can earn one rev per day.  The purchase, whether one item or more, gets you one rev.  Once you have made a purchase that qualifies for a rev, you can purchase again and receive the discount on the additional items even on the same day.

    • 1 REV-UP = 46% Discount
    • 2 REV-UP = 52% Discount
    • 3 REV-UP = 58% Discount
    • 4 REV-UP = 64% Discount (thanks to lee_lhs for the breakdown)

You can only get one rev up per day, but the qualifying items qualify for 3 days, so if you want more than one you can buy one today, one tomorrow, and one Thursday.

That means that items for the first day can only get a max of 58% off then, since they disappear after that, right?  :(    (unless you previously bought Scott)

  • I think that if you buy a qualifying item today the 4 revs will stay, the difference is how quickly they vanish if you don't buy a qualifying item.

The ability to qualify for a rev remains for the three days, the ability to buy at a greater discount is still possible as you can reach the max after four days if you've made qualifying purchases on those four days.  If you started the sale with revs, say 2, the first day will add 1 rev if you make a qualifying purchase.

    wow, that actually worked...thanks

...hmm just picked up the freebie (went through the whole purchase process) and still at 0%.

Also interesting for some reason I was logged out when I attempted to post and then back in again.

So I didn't have to purchase anything today, but would have tomorrow to keep the additional 40%?  I think they could make a post of the rules a day prior so everyone knows instead of a few cryptic noted on the splash page that no ne seems to understand.  I probably wasted a purchase today if I have to buy another one tomorrow!

This sale will only work if the store content is something you need. Right now the store has been selling a ton of content for G3 female... Unfortunately I just don't need most of it so I doubt my engines are going to get all that revved up.

...and in the first day of the sale, three of the new item selections are very expensive software.

If you buy an item today, you both get a rev up (assuming you aren't already at 4) and you don't lose a rev up when it switches to tomorrow.

So if you got the freebie, you got a rev up, and you will also not lose any rev ups at midight.

To keep your 4 revs that you've started with, you need to make a qualifying purchase today.  The nice thing is that DAZ has put in a freebie, today, that qualifies.

Okay, no answers seem forthcoming and the math just isn't adding up. Emptying my cart and waiting to see what happens...

Text of the sale says: 40% OFF New Featured - Additional 10% off for every Rev-up you have -

That means that each item should be 80% off.

Hongyu's Bikini 2 for Victoria 7 is list price $14.95.

80% off should make it $2.99.

Instead it is coming up as $5.39, which is a pretty significant difference.

The only way the math works is if it is 40% off the list price, then 40% off of that. But "40% discount applied in addition to the base 40% discount" implies that it should be working differently.

...on the "Buy 1, Buy 2, Buy 3" sales at least the discount was done in simple steps like  40%, 50% and 60% respectively and during MM also worked on "featured" stores as well, no crazy math to deal with.

The Rev Ups work on featured stores as well.

Ok I think I got it now, when I purchased the bikini there was no free item showing yet, and I didn't realize the additional 40% made me at the max because the prices weren't showing correctly in the cart ( early morning glitches I guess). So I guess I can use the freebie tomorrow to stay at the max?

    Yes

Cool!  I can buy the freebie 3 times!  cheeky

  • My sincerest hope is that the person (or persons) that comes up with these sales is reading this thread and taking notes...

Something as simple as stating "If you bought Karen and / or Scott you start at 40% off" would have answered a third of my questions. Someone proofreading the sales text would probably have answered another third.

For the last punch sale I thought I was  never gonna buy that many items, but then G3F hit the market and well... I feel the same about this sale. Underwhelmed, but if G3M shows this month, I'll climb on board ;)
