But you would buy that item anyway. So, no extra costs. What is the problem? (outside that the name "freebie" is somewhat misplaced , but that is a different can of worms)
I keep saying they should rename it 'BONUS items' because that is what they really are. I have no problem with the concept, but the phrase 'free with purchase' is a logical fallacy that grates on my nerves
BOGO stands for Buy One Get One? I thought it had something to do with a talking Gorilla... Hmm... I suppose that answer makes more sense.
Still... I would have liked to have a talking gorilla. But I wouldn't name him Bogo.

I don't buy things because I may get something free with it. thats silly....ha ha . My content folder and runtime has enough content that I am very choosy in what I buy or load in my libray I only load what I know I am going to be use, rather than have it sit on my hard drive taking room for something i may never use.. Most of the freebies here are like that. the time they came out with the free M4 V4 pro bundles most of us, myself included already owned them or most of the content in them .
But if daz were to update for free stuff that is current that would make more sense for buying the freebies supporting items, not stuff thats 10 years old and I mostly already have.
I have to go freebes , because I am on a pension, because I am disabled,but at least I can still walk. So freebe are my special t .. That's why I started this so I could do something to keep the depression supressed. It has actually helped, I have spent some time , build a coulpe secenes, and searching on some of the freebe sites for backgrounds, and textures, ect. They were recommended in the freebe forum. Now mind you some of the stuff you download, is not what you expect, so it does help to read the manuel in most things you download, also sometime, you have to download other things that complament the downloads that you downloaded. So it gets a little complacated with installation methods.. That has taken up most of my time lately and watching train video in the daz studio when you load it up.. They are actually pretty good. I will sometime buy the cheapy ones and junk up on those before I consider the more advanced and expencive ones. All and all I do love this program, and happy that I have found this site, and the members here are great people, and so nice. So hi everyone. I'm back . Here is a couple that I have done so far, they are amature compared to some , but you know what I like them..
Ar least daz has changed the picture for the freebies , even though the freebies are still that same..lol but getting the picture changed give us hope .:)
I'm gonna need some freebies I'm going broke buying all th new g2m Scott and male stuff coming out and then spent more on 3d universe sale.. yup gonna need some freebies to satisfied my 3d download fix ..lol
I was about to post a similar message, but since I did a search and it lead me here, I would just chime in this thread and pretty much it is as you said. I have noticed the same thing since Christmas that since that time, they have changed it once and it is for all really outdated stuff that should have been tossed in the vault a decade ago. That is something that needs to back the way it was when they had some nice freebies up and they were changed each week. It just seems that those in charge of that aspect of the Daz site have been ignoring it. They should put up a couple items of each class (Vic 4, Genesis, Gen 2, Gen 3, Gen 8) and change it every week like it says.
I never understood why they just don't come to the members for stuff like this. There are a lot of good freebie creators out there as well as generous PA's who don't mind making a little free something something once in awhile. But I guess ours is not to question why ;).
It's more of a metaphorical quantum physics sorta "weekly", not necessarily a weekly, "weekly"... people read "weekly" and think that means every week, or every other week, or every other, other week... but you shouldn't think of it as the narrowly defined human concept of a week... time is just a construct of humanity's limited ability to experience time through a multidimensional experience... there are elementary particles that are not subject to the concept of time as we know it and to them a "week" or any unit of time is meaningless... DAZ is merely trying to get us to think on quantum level... to live like quantum particle where time is inconsequential and a infinity is but a week, yet nothing at all.
Blew yer' mind... right?
Ok... admittedly... for that to have its full effect, you really have to be a little stoned...
But just keep that in mind for when you are and you'll be like "Wow... I can really taste the all colors of what he means".

...might be a "lunar week" as that is about 7 earth months long since the moon is "tide locked" and does not rotate so each "lunar day" is effectively 28 days long.

The freebie section has been neglected since January, which is a bummer. But before that we did get Kalea 7. I'm hoping we're gonna keep getting G3 products in there!
Well, I was liking the plants but some complaints got them bumped and now we have been getting these pastel colored material sets for 20 year old My Little Pony & Strawberry Shortcake lookalike themed models for something like 7 or the past 8 weeks. This week we were given magic markers so we could draw our own freebies.
Apart from liking those pastel coloured materials (I do have those Unicorns ...) - it looks like I missed the Magic Markers! They probably were a very time-limited freebie, right?

Um, technically everything you have ever bought was "free with purchase." It is an oxymoronic phrase. And just a moronic one. :)
I never notice that weekly freebies don't change weekly. Partly because I assume I own all those freebies. Sometimes I feel like they do freebies by looking at my order history.
It's an extra item, free when you purchase a non-free item.
I am curious to know where this is stated, as I have never seen it so mentioned. And, further more, how is a non PC member is supposed to know what is being offered as a freebie to PC members? The reason for this is that having been registered with this store for 15 years, I have never seen it stated anywhere that I can recall.
Yeah, I´m a bit confused as well. Not too upset because I´d have no use for those markers... but I´d like to at least know these things?
