Popcorn is one of the top ten most dangerous snack foods, only Grenade Berries and Live Hornets place ahead of it.

By the way, I read "Atlantis" instead of Atlanta, above and I didn't even realize until I finished... But we do have an aquarium here named Atlantis, where big fancy weddings are sometimes held, so it not that odd.

By the way, Misty... Never cross Deer Park Ave on foot... Doing a handstand or in a wheelbarrow... It's just not safe. My friend lives near the Olympic Diner off Deer Park Ave... South of Long Island Ave you have the stupidest drivers ever.  I'd offer to drive you but that probably violates some internet/forum protocol... Besides I curse a lot when I drive.

Flossing is not disgusting... But apparently leaving the used floss around is considered "unsanitary".... Piff... It can be use for loads of other things... Like stitching wounds closed or making tiny bows for field mice to hunt crickets with.

I save my used floss and crochet it into bandages.

PS: while creating this post I forgot about my Pizza slice in the microwave.  And, I had set it for 6 and a half minutes on full power instead of 20% power.  Did you know that after about six minutes pizza in a microwave on full power begins to smoke amazingly voluminously and turns to a mass of charcoal?  Entire apartment experienced a 3 foot visibility limit.  I've been diving in a turbid ocean with more visibility.

Now that's complaint worthy.   Cruelty to Pizza slices.

do you have more lunch options?

Unsold or expired Elio's pizza slices are ground into a slurry and mixed with ammonium perchlorate to make solid rocket fuel.

Microwave pizza accounts for more microwave fires each year than Napalm Burgers and Hydrogen Filled Hotpockets combined.

    Be careful folks

Morning. Gathering clouds all dramatic purple and almost black grey roiling overhead in the teeth of a gusting chill wind tearing ragged edges and dark-as-night holes in them, maybe if it showers there will be a rainbow :)

    Always hopw for rainbows. angel

Talking of rainbows,  did you see how excited the Chines got at seeing a rainbow over Beijing   http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-33769441

Apparently they rarely see rainbows there.

Smog.  Caused perhaps by 20 million microwaved pizzas?

FYI: during my pizza debacle when the appartment was completey filled with smoke upstairs and down, my smoke alarm never went off!  I should probably look into that. sad  Also I've discovered that vaporized sausage, mushrooms, black olives, tomato sauce and bread settles as a greasy amber film on everything it touches.  After cleaning the inside of my microwave oven with Windex my paper towels turned from white to a nice amber/orange color.  Now I get to start on the exposed sheets & towels, then the woodwork and windows and then try to figure out how to clean my oriental rugs and the underlying carpet.  Thankfully my clothes were all in drawers and well sealed portable fabric closet.

Immediately after rushing blindly into the kitchen to stop the microwave and throw a nearly flaming slice of pizza out the front door I felt my way upstairs and found the big fan then set my air-conditioner to blow high speed air continuously as I opened the only window I can open downstairs (in the kitchen) and put the big fan in there to blow the smoke out.  I tried opening the front door but the plume of smoke coming out the kitchen was just sucked back into the house along with the mosquitos and horseflies lurking in the horse pasture next door.  It's been a lovely afternoon! crying

Morning. Night gave way to gloomy grey day sometime in the past hour, only noticed cos the streetlights are off. I guess it is a little brighter. Wierd dreams - nightmares I guess - about dust in the gate iut Red cameras don't have a gate so must be reliving some long forgotten panic or something strange :) :) Last week was a strange one, found myself glancing out the back window of cab taking me home last night as if the strangeness was following, meh needz a break real bad :)

...and some things never change, reminder bots still break.  Finally caught up.

Misty take care of yourself.  No drinkie (of the alcoholic type) when on antibiotics makes a bad combination.  .

LeatherGryphon, scary situation there, I always fear something like that so I stay close to whatever I am cooking. Good you caught it when you did.

Well looks as if there is some movement on my disability case finally.  Received some supplemental forms that I sent off early in the week and today got a notification that an exam has been scheduled at the end of the month.  Also was finally able to get a general exam scheduled for next Monday.

Still been sending out those resumes and today got a call back for an interview for a grocery checker at our local chain of supermarts and will have an interview next week Thursday.  Only PT to start (30 hrs) but it's better than nothing and will work into a full time position.  Good company to work for as well as they are relaxed on dress code and very good to their employees.

Having to write this from the workstation as for some reason after a while, the screen on the notebook goes blank (not totally black which is the screen saver I use).

...I have that (the Dojo which is no longer available).

Well the blank screen issue seems to be realted to a couple settings.  It isn't the CPIU overheating as I checked the temps and it is running in the low 40s C. As I mentioned I had the screen set to go blank after a certian duration of inactivity as a screen saver.  That seemd to be the culprit.  Now normally, I just had to press a key or touch the mouse and the display would come back up.  Apparently something in the process is corrupted as it apparently hung up, blacking out the display but not fully turning it off.
