I just watched The Tholian Web on Heros and Icons channel last night. LOL

I don't need the WyCry channel or JJbrams or CBS/P for my scifi shows. I Have HerosandIcons, ME Tv and my own extensive collection of scifi, including all Star Trek series. LOL

    It's growing!

Still adding details to the "U.S.S. Inception" centrifuge - in this case, a wardroom to break up the aft wall (I call it 'aft,' but I really have no idea what this is in nor its orientation ;) ), and the iconic glowing access panels under the consoles. Also, carpet! And for kicks and giggles, short walls to frame the main door and to block off the open ends of the consoles; I included grab bars for motive assist and/or safety.

Hey folks-old new and inbetween! Haven't been by in awhile. Buried with work and home life. Looked through the pages before speaking up and everything looks good! Got a few new projects of my own going over at DA. Finally getting to work on stories I've been writing down and saving for over twenty years now. Feel free to swing by and take a look:

I love your aliens, both the 2D and 3D versions. Very nicely done, looking forward to the stories.

Thank you. I wish I could do the illustrations in 3D. But the characters are so differrent and other aliens in the stories are non-human enough that I can't. I have to pose what I have and go the comic filter route then draw in the changes I need. Arrow and Yaska are easy since they're both designed from the same head. It's the rest of the cast that gives me problems.

I got to thinking. I'm bound to have stuff in my prop folder that's not on the forum's list. So just to cover things, here's the link to my props folder over at DA. Once there, you can just go to any folder you need to:

I was curious if anyone has seen this outfit?  I was thinking it might be a good starting base for  a TOS lady.

It might work very well for those that can actually use it.

Okay. Working on my own stories now. Problem is, some of the characters are so non-human, they can't be done in 3D. I'm having to pose what I have, change the render with the comic filter and then draw in the changes. It works, but it's slowler and these days, I don't have time for a full blown graphic novel.

Wow!!!! Can I say, "Dayum!" ? That looks real!

And here's the latest 'not real' stuff that doesn't look a bit like it laugh. I intimated that there may be an adjacent centrifuge with a linking corridor - I couldn't resist picking up details from the Enterprise corridors - including the GNDN conduits wink.

Reminds me of a similar outfit for Aiko3 which later got a texture set for the TOS "dress" uniform. I think... <rummage, rummage> yep, I've got it. That dForce dress would need the badge and rank stripes as overlays, but it looks pretty close.

I'm hoping to stay with it till all the stories are done. That'll take a long while. I want to get them done while I can still handle a mouse.

Working on this guy, morph not quite there, need to figure out a good vulcan hair style.  By the way, one big complaint I have about Trek is that for a show that espouses Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations as a mantra, why does every alien of a given race wear identical clothing and have identical hairstyles?  This was a TNG thing because in TOS Sarek and Spock don't have identical hair, nor do the romulans we saw all have bowl haircuts.  Can't say it's too expensive because frankly dying their own hair black would have been cheaper and better looking than the dopey wigs they put on all the vulcans and romulans.

Anyway, regardless, Spock definitely wore a bowl cut but not finding a suitable one in my runtime.  Gotta keep looking.  And tweaking the morph, or course.

Because sometimes I'm just silly, I started playing around with these shapes (no connection to the centrifuge). I call it "U.S.S. Pizzicato" (there's a pun in there ... wink)
