I'd love to get Marvelous Designer and create TOS uniforms based on the original patterns.
This prop is "Starfleet Marine Force Energy Knife" (combat knife and utility tool), based on the "light saber" from Star Wars. It makes sense that Starfleet would also have their own energy blades. As a combat weapon, the EKnife is essentially a energy short sword, a mono filiment knife mode, and prybar. Used by Starfleet Marines, it was adoptted by Fighter pilots as survival equipment.
This is a simple morphing prop make from primatives, the material zones can be personalized.

Looks like you can get an earlier version free from the manufacturer....

Looks like it, but what about the "Online Authorisation" tabs also on that page that don't seem to do anything? Could these be nice little gotchas such as activation keys that you only get if you've bought some other version?
The tab seem to activate a different file to download, by default "windows - personal" shows the file "MD6 PERSONAL 2.5.73.20490" and you select either the 32 or 64 bit version... Although I have not installed it myself, you might be right about the costs.
New project in the works.

The hybrid Millennium Falcon/Federation Shuttle by everyone's favourite Bridge designer Rduda.
Need some help with finding a prop guys and gals. I remember seeing a Holodeck arch somewhere but for the life of me can't find it anywhere. Do any of you know where I can find it? I am working on a comic and need a holoarch for several scenes.
Best of both the world! Noice!
There's a free one on Renderosity by Draconian, just search 'Holodeck Arch'.
Either of these might work

Next project is a combat jacket (TNG era) with subdued variant... Using LM Flyer for DAZ3d Victoria4 and Michael4... It can be used over the bodysuit ...
Thanks Nightwolf and Matty for the links.I have been looking for this for about 2 weeks now without any luck. You guys are awesome!
I've been considering this, as well - I've wondered how close one can get to a mesh that can be easily rigged for Poser or Studio; I may just have to check out the v. 6 download ;).
I'm working on some, starting with the men's tunic. but not from original patterns. I have thought to do that for the female uniform. But the male was just a shirt so didn't think a screen accurate pattern was necessary. That said, the collar is a real pain and is still not right.
Is it supposed to be leather? It looks a bit too smooth for leather..But the styling looks spot on..good job!
The lighting and the pose is perfect. He looks serious..nice!
Thanks twistkill. I think the modeling for the TOS tunic is done, it's made, UV mapped, and conformed okay. I'm pleased with the hems, I figured out how to do that so the edges all have some dimmensionality to them. Helps the realism. I also tested it with VWD (second render) and it works okay with that, doesn't fly apart. I need to make a couple of textures (my least favorite part, not my best skill) and package up the runtime and I'll share it out. It's for G3M, by the way.
First render is fit to G3M, second render is after sending it to VWD and back. Also shows the hems on the sleeves, the collar, and the bottom of the tunic a little more clearly.
Note that the pants are not my own, they are the Santa Pants from the Santa Suit for G3M. Those are like harem pants, the crotch hangs very low so it makes the shirt look shorter than it is. It is a a bit on the short side, that's how they wore them on TOS. But it's not crazy short like the low hanging pants might make it seem.
Yeah the crotch did seem a bit low. But if you are going canon you better go for the entire look. The tunic looks nice man. Good that its for G3, the way of the future :P
STO "LMFlyer Jacket for V4 and M4"
This texture set will allow you to convert the "LM Flyer Jackets" on DAZ3d.com to a Star Trek style battle jacket... this can be purchased at: http://www.daz3d.com/flyer-jacket-for-m4-and-v4
There are three different styles and uses the TNG Division Color scheme. A nice feature is the jacket can be worn over the bodysuit. This can be worn with any of my Star Trek texture sets...This texture set has options to hide the front pockets, name patch, and zippers.

Looks good, I like the last set the best.
grinch2901, that tunic is looking great!
Thanks
Read it,love it, can't wait for the next one.
Also loking for TOS and Enterprise Era G3 M&F uniforms (although my Topal stand in will look good in the Sexy Body Suit for G3F with the Cyber Bodysuit texture from the Texture Pack). Any suggestions for Enterpriose era uniforms for G3? Not looking to buy a lot of G2 content to convert. I have a ton of V4/M4 content but not really looking to do multiple conversions to use that with G3 either. I did buy Wear Them All for G3F to see how the V4 satuff will convert. Just not looking forward to converting everything to Iray after converting to G3F.
TIA
Thank you, sir!
You're welcomed...
Thanks for the reminder about this outfit, apparently I forgot to install it when I got it all those years ago. Looks nice, and surprisingly easy to convert to all my Genesis figures, too.
Just one thing; I see there's only Poser materials, are these straightforward to convert to D|S/Iray materials?
The texture files are just png and you should be able to use them in Daz.
Hey guys,
Is there a DS9 bridge or something close to it, out there? Or maybe interiors of DS9 locations? Any help is much appreciated.
Now that you mention it, I don't remember ever seeing any DS9 interiors. Anyone else?
I remember someone created a bar table from Quarks, long time ago. But thats about it, I cannot even find that file now :/
The following are based on a late TNG-era "battle suit" idea which I also made into a Service uniform. I'm certain my designs can a bit too "aggressively militarized" for some, so the service uniforms can be used by ship crews in the Science or research divisions...
Uses TNG Divisional colors...Including a medical variant. Still working on the V4 version.
(I'm using some different material settings which I might actually incorporate as a redo of my ST TOS uniforms)..
